I am not a huge fan of dark themes, but I was able to get a few working. I had to apply it a few times before it stuck though. Substratum is a little buggy at the moment. The current theme that I have applied is the Pi [light] but the Pi dark works as well, I use pi dark for my notifications bar.

So I love new Androud Lollipop themes. I want to install them on my Stock LG.
I do not want launchers that change only homescreen and app drawer. I want to fully change the looks. From Notification bar to settings menu.
I am rooted and have installed a custom recovery.
I dont know what to do next.
1. Lg smartworld has no Lollipop themes.
2. Tried HKthemer via Xposed module. It supports only CM10. So no lollipop.
Anyone knows Lollipop theme for LG L 90.?
How to install it if I have root.?
I'm pretty sure this won't work.

Themes requires the use of some kind of theme manager. There is no theme manager support of any kind in LG Stock ROMs. Unfortunately on stock your only option is to use launcher themes. None of the Xposed theme modules work with LG stock. Sorry. I personally have tried everything under the sun to get some kind of theming when I was on stock with no luck.
I am running RR rom with the DNA Dark Project theme. I get updates for the theme app. Does updating this app actually change anything about the theme itself? I'm guessing not. Do you have to reapply the entire theme in the Substratum app?

never tried to test any other theme due yo lack of internal storage.

Hi. Has someone got Substratum Theme Engine to work on PRA-LX1? I tried to apply overlays , they get compiled properly, but theyre not being applied if i use Layers Manager i can theme for ex. Supersu
Can i get some help? I tried Substratum community on G+, but got no useful information...
I built overlays on my mothers note 4, transfered over the Overlays folder and pushed it into /system/vendor/, all seem to work, apps are themed correctly Now only left is to figure out how to make substratum install overlays directly from the app, without need to use note 4 :/
Does it only theme the apps?

What else does it have to theme? XD I use Swift black for user apps and DarkBloom for Emui apps. We use substratum legacy, so no way to get custom fonts or bootanimations through substratum

Hi all,
Just updated my XZ1C to Android 9.
I had Substratum with some dark themes installed on Android 8.
I did not read any substratum notes, and just updated to android 9.
Apparently Android needs root now for custom themes to apply.
Is this really the case?
Is the only option to root, to get dark-mode back again?
I can't seem to find custom ROMS which are Pie based.
Only a beta of LineageOS for Android8.

There is Xpie, not that I am recomending it in any way. Loading it looks pretty problematic.
But if you're going to root your phone to load a custom rom, then Substratum will work fine on rooted 9

do the swift themes work with stock/sony apps e.g. dialer, settings, files, etc.? or only AOSP / custom roms?
there's a fee for the installer app, when downloading the actual themes, is there an additional charge?
thanks!

no dice on the sony apps i'm afraid, with the exception of sony music. there's a full list of supported apps here. it's pretty much all google and AOSP apps and an assortment of other stuff.
re: payment, you pay for the app once and you can configure the theme however you want. so you can rechoose background and accent colours to your heart's content. much less onerous than substratum imo.
