I'm having issues using the Volume control on a Plantronics 8200 UC and a Plantronics Voyager Focus UC - when streaming music - The volume button will not go all the way up and when turning the music down it goes to zero almost immediately? Anyone with the same problem or some advice. ?
The headsets work fine on other Bluetooth 5.0 mobiles.

My experience with this is limited as it happened with another device. Software/Firmware update bailed me out then. Maybe something you also want to check.

Hi folks!
Is there some kind of step by step manual how to get to a working solution for the well known BlueAngel Problem with it's headset connections?
I found a thread talking about some registry tweaks, but that only enables the menu option to send the sounds to the headset, but finally doesn't produce any sounds...
What I want to have is the instructions, given by the Navigon Mobile Navigator 5 beeing transferred to a bluetooth device (a parrot free speach device or a logitech headset).
I am already running ROM 1.4 and tried all various BT versions, but nothing worked..
Thanks for your help,
Balu
err.. I am looking for using bluetooth headset to listen mp3 as well, any help and suggestions?
im trying to figure out how to do that aswell, (listen to media player using bluetooth on my SVP m2000)
me too is there any idea pls
same
You can listen mp3s if your headset supports advanced audio distribution profile and you have PDA2K_BroadcomCorp_BTUpdate.cab installed. But if your "advanced" headset does not support old profiles - you would not be able to use it to listen phone calls.
You CANNOT listen MP3s on normal headsets that support headset and hansdfree profiles. To use these headsets you have to sell PDA2K and buy PDA2.

Can you please provide the list of BT headsets (with make / model numbers) that supports this "advanced audio distribution profile"
ht820 does the job!
I have Motorola HT820 on Orange M2000.
The HT820 supports Hands-Free and High Quality Audio profiles and you can playback audio in stereo via the headphones.
I upgraded the BT stack to 3900 and radio to 1.13 and added the extra profiles (instructions are in the Wiki), and it appears to work as both .
When the phone rings, WMP pauses and the left headset button answers the phone. Once you finish the call and hang up, WMP starts playback again.
The only problem that I still have is with intermittent dropout of the High Quality Audio. Anyone got any clues on curing this?
Got mine for around £60 UK sterling.
Is this an hardware limitation? Is this a ROM limitation? BT stack problem?
GSM phone preempting BT handfree?
If not HW, can we expect an upcoming solution to this?
Or, the only "hard" workaround is to plug a BT adapter (like Jabra A210) to redirect mike/spkr, and to desactivate BA BT.
Christmas tree, like.

Registry
Hi again.
So, we didn't really find a solution yet?
I once read something about a little change to the registry, so that a second profile for the normal BT Headset appears.
I searched but I can't find it again.
does anyone know which post I mean?
If so, can you give me a link to that, because I believe that is the right way to solve the problem...
the key is if your source (pda or notebook) is running BT audio gateway. centrino notebooks supports audio gateway. I have a Jabra BT800 and listens to MP3s played from an HP DV1000 notebook but cannot have it working through my XDA II mini (the latter does not support BT audio gateway)
you might find this helpful => http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/d...html/wce50conaudiogatewayregistrysettings.asp
I just got a pair of Jabra BT8010 for my Tilt and was looking forward to enjoying them but they won't play music for me. The Jabra BT8010 has a regular BT headset that works like any other BT set but it also has a cable you can attach and make it into a stereo headset with another ear bud. You press a mode button to turn on the stereo/music function.
However, the music function of the headset is on and I can control the media player but either the sound plays for about 10 seconds and goes out or no sound comes through the headset at all. Jabra & ATT were no help. HTC claimed that phone doesn't work with this BT set because the device must have a dedicated BT music headset. That sounded shady to me so I decided to check several forums and noticed some people use the same model. I've contacted these people but no reply yet. Anyone have advice on what to do for a fix?
I had the same problem at first. Using the menu on the headset itself, I was able to reset it to the factory settings, repair it with my phone, and it worked just fine after that.
Hope that helps you out.
I have a Jabra BT3030 and paired it with my Galaxy S.
Stereo sound works fine, but my gripe is that none of the bluetooth controls work (back, pause/play, forward). I tried this with another headset (altec), but is still doesn't work. The volume controls work fine though.
Has anyone experienced this?
Is this an android limitation or is it just with the Galaxy?
btw, my firmware is JM7 in case it might be with the firware...

The buttons work fine on my platronics bt. Wait for froyo official as its said to have improved bt headset features
working fine with
Jabra BT8010
Motorola HT820
my car CZ509
and a few other older BT stereo headsets from Sony, Plantonic, etc
I'll suggest to pair it again.
the controls are usually 1 touch for pause/play, double tap for skip next, unless it has its own buttons for that, and... well lots of other combos depending on the buttons setup on the headsets
@allgamer
paired it again and still a no go. it has its own buttons for play/pause, forward, back, volume, answer. basically, its a bluetooth module where i can plug my own earphones.
it's working flawlessy with my omnia hd.
do you know what bluetooth profiles our galaxy s supports?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
not exactly, but i do know it supports all the standard stereo, a2dp, avrcp, file transfer, contacts, GPS, phone calls, the only things not supported are HID mouse and keyboard
hmm... something doesnt add up... maybe the rom since i havent tried it with prev firmwares. i'll try pairing again.

I have the same issue. Use SBH650 bt. But it appears only in standart player. I also use Ambling Player for audio books and it works fine with it. My firmware is JM2. Re-pairing doesn't solve this issue.
I'm using Sony Ericsson MW600 & DS980.. both seems fine..
still no go for me... seems the answer/end key does work, as well as the volume keys. so only my playback, fw/rew key don't work. but when i press them, the screen lights up and the touch buttons light up too. i'll try experimenting with a diff player and see if it's just with the samsung misuc player.
OT: DaRkMyk, where'd you get the SE MW600? I've been looking for that for a while now.
MW600 and Galaxy S
I see that a few people use the MW600 with the Galaxy S. I recently bought a MW600, the device is paired to the phone, plays music fine with all the controls working. It is also the default calling device. And this is where I have a problem, when I make or receive a call the called/calling party can hear me clearly but I can't hear anything. I have turned up the volume to max, I have also reset the MW600 and repaired it with the device, turned off the wi-fi on the Galaxy S,. Basically tried most of the solutions that are available. Has anyone else had this problem. I tried the MW600 with some other phones (Nokia X6) and had the exact same problem.
@aridoasis I bought mine here in singapore for S$118. I don't know if it is available there in the Philippines, but you can always buy from eBay & it's also cheaper.
@sandsri I never experienced that problem, have you tried your MW600 on other mobile phones?

Hi guys,
I've just bought a new common Jabra blutooth and it works well on call, but I really want to know if there is a way to play music via my blutooth. I found that iPhone is able to play music via blutooth by jailbreaking, but I just can't get any helps from google and etc...
If somebody here knows the way, please tell me. Thanks a lot.
which model of Jabra did you buy?
only the Stereo version of Jabra will support A2DP and AVRP from Bluetooth to play audio, and remote control
working perfectly fine with my Jabra BT8010 and car stereo CZ509

It's BT125 sth...not sure, but it's cheap though. Anyway, I believe it can be used to play music
ya that headset doesn't support a2dp so i don't think its going to work.
I've got the Jabra BT620s - had them for a few years now, works great on the SGS, it supports A2DP & AVRP, when a call come in the phone pauses the music and the headphones switch to headset mode (ie phone mode).
Now the HTC had issues, some ROM worked Stereo, some worked headset, but I never had one which did both

I upgraded to the Moto-X for the touchless controls as I commute to work and back on my motorbike and I was really unsatisfied with alternatives floating around to simulate touchless control.
Now when I am in my car and using my bluetooth headset the voice control works just fine, I can navigate, call and send quick messages no problem
But on my bike I use a Viper RSv-131 helmet which has bluetooth built in and I listen to local radio or music whilst I'm riding but my Moto-X does not respond when I cay Ok Google now or when I press the button on my helmet either I can answer incoming calls fine but thats it.
Does anyone else use a Moto-X on a motorcycle/motorbike or even a regular bicycle with bluetooth and do you have similar problems?
Have you tried Google>Settings>Voice>Bluetooth headset

Thanks Etcetra, I have bluetooth headset option turned on and it works using my BT headset in the car.
My gut reaction is my car headset is a regular over the ear BT headset but my helmet is like BT stereo headphones with a microphone and so I think it's a different kind of BT but I'm not an expert.
Any advice would be welcome
Check to see which profiles are connected on each device by going into Bluetooth settings and tapping the little settings icon next to the connection.

That's unfortunate as it suggests an incompatibility issue between the two. It should certainly work using the phone profile.
Check with the helmet maker... maybe they have a firmware update available.
Turned off media audio and just tried phone audio but still the same: (
