It all started when my Galaxy Note 5 started freezing and then rebooting all of sudden, after a while it couldn't last 5 seconds without freezing then rebooting. And then the whole phone stopped working and got kept rebooting after the "Galaxy Note 5" screen. So I flashed a stock rom and it started up, I got that google account lock thing where you can't use it for 24 hours or something, but then I put my SIM card in and it froze and started rebooting again. So I flashed the stock rom again, without putting the SIM card in, and after a while it started freezing and rebooting again. Now it's rebooting after the "Galaxy Note 5" screen and when I go into download mode it freezes. And it keeps going into recovery which says "Installing System Update" or something alone those lines and then it reboots again before the "System Update" finishes.
Any idea what's causing this? What can I do to fix it?
Thank you
I have had the same problem with my Note FE. Can you find a solution?

U can upgrade to Samsung Stock Firmware in Samfirware web or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=948790.
Be sure you are using SGS I9000.
ya i have thought a lot and i am indeed doing that going to 2.3.4 stock android
Hi everyone,
while using my Note earlier today, it suddenly shut off (with about 75% battery) so I assumed it was just a crash. However after rebooting I could only reach the homescreen and after a few seconds it shut off again. This happened 2 more times.
After that I couldn't boot intro Android at all anymore. After displaying the Samsung splash for about 1 second, the phone shuts off. I tried things like removing the battery for some time etc..
I can boot into CWM where I tried to make a backup. After confirming the start of the backup, the screen image distorts for half a second and the phone shuts off. Then after connecting the charger, creating a backup was successful. Trying to boot into Android still didn't work though.
I did a full wipe and tried another ROM without success. The phone shuts off either after the Samsung splash screen or 1 second after displaying the boot animation of the ROM.
Is it a battery issue or could it be something else?

Why don't you verify the first part of your question yourself? After that the second one would make sense.
So: new battery first.

I've ordered it, it'll take a few days to arrive.
Just in case anyone else runs into this issue. I found that my Galaxy Note was doing exactly the same thing and it was a dodgy or dying battery.
I could run CWM or Android Recovery or Philz Recovery and I could also flash the stock roms with ODIN but after the flashing, the phone would boot to various stages (N7000 splash screen, SAMSUNG splash screen, "Updating Android" screen and then turn off. After flashing a dozen times I worked out it was the battery. Replaced it and all sorted.
I ran into a same kind of problem once. Factory resetting the phone fixed the problem for me.
Hello!
I'm having a problem with my S3 mini.. it restarts by itself with no apparent reason.. sometimes i'm not even using it, it's on my pocket and then I listen to the sound of the startup, when I pick it up, I note that it's a little warm, more than normal.
Sometimes the cellphone do this restart in a loop, as soon as it's finally ready, it turns off and then reboot again, all alone! When it starts doing this loop, sometimes it stops when I remove the battery and put it again after something like 10 seconds, but today it started doing it and didn't stop. Sometime, I try to use it immediately after it finish the boot and it freezes before I can get it unlocked, the screen becomes white like a watermark, and then, another reboot. It's always hot when doing it.
Today the cellphone did it something like 10 times in 20 minutes, one of this times it was working after 4 or 5 startups, I tried to take a picture and it did another reboot, and another.. and another! It stoped only after I punched the cell phone several times against a steel wall (yes, I was ANGRY!!!). I tried to let it 5 minutes turned off, when I turned it on again, it started the reboot loop again.
I already tried more than once to do a hard reset, I don't have many apps installed, I tried to uninstall all the apps that I installed when it started doing this. There is no regularity, it stays 2 days normal, on the 3rd day it shows the problem, and then another 4 days normal..
I have no ideia of what can be the problem!! The Android is 4.1.3 and it was not updated recently
Can someone help me?
Sorry about my English, I don't speak very well..

Hi,
I've owned my VERIZON Samsung Galaxy Note 5 since early December and have not rooted the device. Today while taking notes in lecture, the device began displaying notices for crashed background apps (Gmail has crashed, Nova launcher has crashed, etc.) The problem persisted for another hour, even after booting into safe mode. I wiped the cache and factory reset the device, however during setup, Samsung keyboard would crash along with other apps running in the background during setup (One time I got "Samsung Galaxy has stopped working"). The phone started increasingly randomly rebooting since the phone first began to malfunction.
Since the factory reset didn't seem to actually reflash the firmware, I downloaded OJ3 stock ROM and flashed successfully using Odin, however the phone began acting even more erratically and failed to boot 4 out of every 5 boot loops. I tried flashing OGJ, which failed to boot worse than OJ3. I just flashed OJ2, which seems to be more stable than the other flashes I tried, however I'm still getting sluggish performance, random reboots and crashes of background apps immediately after booting.
At this point I believe it is defective hardware and I should call in the warranty for a new phone.
Has anyone experienced similar issues? Any speculation on the source of the issue? What should I know going into attempting to exchange for a new phone?
Note 5 crash
Yep, have the same problem, but I have not attempted to Flash the Phone yet...
Did multiple factory resets, clear caches... but to no avail. There is no structure or pattern in crash rate. Although it is getting more often day by day...
Found no working sollution, but it feels like there is a bad memory segment or something. Everytime it randomly uses that segment... crash!
Really don't know. Will try to get warrenty fix.
Let me know if you found a sollution on your side?
Cheers,
Wim

OP here. Made a warranty claim, they seem to have replaced the motherboard as the solution. Complete repair experience from warranty claim to package back at my doorstep was less than two weeks, which is impressive for what I've heard about Samsung's support. Good luck!
My Samsung Galaxy Note 4 [Stock T-Mobile Rom. V. 5.1.1 (the latest one if not that one)] has been having a lot of issues recently. After destroying its own battery life, restarting itself countless of times and a whole bunch of issues, I've decided to back everything up and factory reset it and reformatting my sd card as well. After everything and once my phone started up, It told me to turn off the phone and insert my SIMs card and then turn it on. When I tried to turn it on, I was greeted with a black screen and it said
Unknown Error!
NOC Error
pm8841_rev : 0x0
Wait . . .
Done!
UDC START
POWER RESET OR
UNKNOWN
UPLOAD MODE
Anyone know why this happened, Or a permanent fix? My phone is very important to me as I use it for business and various work related tasks. Thanks in advanced!!
How old is battery on that phone?
Mine is doing the exact same thing, just replaced the battery, did you get yours fixed?
Same here!
Hey! My note 4 is doing exactly the same!
It started to be slow and restarted every hour. So I had to buy a new phone and the Note 4 became unusable.
Do you have any solutions? Are u sure, it is because of the battery?
