Because we don't have the GPU sources for the GT-S5830i to build CyanogenMod, no 7.2, no 9, neither 10.
The GT-S5830 has another GPU (Adreno 200) than the GT-S5830i/M/C/9i (Broadcom VideoCore IV (HW) BCM2763).
Also it has another CPU, the old Ace has an QualComm MSM7227, the new Ace an Broadcom BCM21553.
The Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360 has the same hardware as the GT-S5830i, so if it has a custom ROM (CyanogenMod), we'll (and of course you'll) have it too.
You have to build a ROM from sources. If you miss a part, you cannot build the ROM.
It's not that if you build the ROM without the GPU sources, and you get the GPU sources later, you can build them and add them to the ROM. You have to build everything at the same time, together. (Needs vertification.)
So if we get the GPU sources, we can build CyanogenMod.

Hi,
Is there a way to root the new upgraded Tab s2 T819N or the T813N?
Just received it today and want to root but can't find not much on these new tab s2's
Thanks.
I don't have the device (yet), but the new Snapdragons are going to be rootable with Chainfire SuperSU zip when a custom recovery like TWRP is available.
The Galaxy A9 Pro has almost the same specs as the the new Tab S2: Same CPU/Chipset and same Android Version out-of-the-box (Marshmallow). I've seen a video on Youtube on how to root the Galaxy A9 Pro and maybe, just maybe, the TWRP for it is compatible with the newer versions of the Tab S2. Feel free to try at your own risk. I would risk it by myself, but as I've said, I don't have the device yet.
quite a challenge, any chance to brick the device ?
or just wait till a new custom recovery is out?

Hi Everyone,
Since Samsung have released the kernel sources and we finally have root, is anyone working/planning to work on making a custom kernel?
I'm really wondering if the Exynos 9820 can be overclocked/optimised to match the Snapdragon variant.
Source and kernel code is available.
Also ubuntu ports (custom rom) available . Scroll down and you will find both device trees as well as kernel source
If anyone interested please also make more custom roms
