Hello, did somebody got the beta in the beta app ? Because I have a P20 Pro and nothing appears in available projects in the beta app :/

It couldn't be possible because since IFA I checked every 5 minutes and still nothing :/

Not sure what to tell you. It's the same for me in the UK. It shows nothing is available. I'm sure there was only 100 slots. I could be wrong.

Yeah, I saw a lot of websites that said it will take a moment for the project to appear in the app so.... We should wait maybe :/
I also remember last year with my P10 Plus I wanted to go to the EMUI 8 project but it said it was full, so full or not it is supposed to appear

I anyhow only see CLT-L29 8.1.0. FWs and not 9.
Nevermind.. Found. Pretty expensive to get a copy of FW that they do not own.
OMG I actually remember I have 1 credit since I rebranded my P20 Pro from C33 to C432 so I can install it soooo lucky ?
BTW if I get stuck or anything like that... How can I rollback to EMUI 8 ? Pretty scared now :/ If someone could try to see if it's safe it would be cool ?

So I charged my P20 Pro to 100% and now it's discharging so i'l tell you when it's gonna be fully discharged BTW the battery is not displayed in days but in hours now ( like 36 hours remaining). So there is many bugs, like some animation lags but it's not important at all, also some lags with the blur in the multitasking, but it's not important. EMUI 9 is really smooth, and I ran an Antutu benchmark, and it scored 125K, 15k more than EMUI 8 wich was at 110k. So yeah, really smooth.

Better is good even right now i can easily pull out 8 to 10 hours on screen time
The update has been confirmed to come out by the end of January 2019 by ASUS

Well i am talking about 100 to 1%
Nothing much...
Just use single sim
Clear off ram frequently
Use earphones for media coz speaker sucks alot of power
Optimize all apps under battry optimization
Turn of AI boost
Just make sure battery is not being used in other unwanted stuffs. And there you go.. you can easily get 7 to 8 hours straight atleast.

Use single sim only.. use a network that can provide 4 or 5 bar signal. Turn off AI BOOST.. optimize all battery settings. Turn of AI Charging.. instead of it use the time duration for which you actually sleep. Clear your ram through period. Instead of speaker use earphones. And make sure to cut off every irrelivent power supply. And there you go.. you can drag atleast 7 to 8 hours on normal usage. From 100 to 1.

Download and Change theme from factory app.
You will have to customize app icons and wallpaper. Coz i am sure you wont gona like it anyway.
I can suggest you my personal fav. "Our own darkness". Its a black theme with yellow and orrange highlight.

I have noticed some bugs! Lockdown is not available even after turning it on, and the power button menu still looks the same! It looks so old and pathetic. Also no sliding gesture available in multitasking pil. Quick icons and setting icons are still same (which is still okay but anyway the update is here) ,and anyone got any pixel like theme? which will change the notification panel quick icons and all?
Asus site says WW update, but TW SKU only?
Which one is it really? Using WW 8.0 atm, thinking about updating, should I wait for next one this month?

As far as I can tell there's no settings on these phones to change the notification panel. The only way is using the built in Themes app for ZenUI. That's how I got dark theme for it and the Asus apps.

Better you wait. I have updated to Pie and didn't realize that it is TW version. I have an Indian 5Z. Now I am wondering what if I found some strange bug and have to go back to Indian release and if it'll be possible. Asus haven't helped at all and if I can't update to the Indian version my only option is to downgrade and then update again. Plus, this TW build has some bugs. So better wait for official version of your respective country.

Magicly change ur phone's processor to snapdragon and u got beta . There is no other way . Just wait up to 3 months 4 pie or cook 1 uself.

Up to 3 months . Oreo was 3-4 months on ecynos after snap beta
I bought my device a couple of days ago.. First day I used AnTuTu benchmark and scored 205k. I updated to android pie yesterday and I now score 140k only. Why does this happen? Can I rollback to Android 8?

There is a really small one but I found what's going on. Honor was making device run at max in benchmarks and normal in all the other apps. Now they made a "Performance Mode" option which uses phone's maximum performance whenever you want. With max performance it almost hits same benchmarks as before..

I have the same in my p20 pro i had 201,000 i antutu no after pie a i have 150000 ? waht to do ?
I am getting 207604 from AnTuTu V7.1.3 on Android Pie.
Do we really wanna upgrade to Android 9 then? Not that's available on Europe but soon it will be. Android 8 runs perfectly fine.
Score lower because cpu speed is around 1,5 GHz and only use 80% CPU performance based on stress test antutu

It's under the battery settings I believe it appears when you're above certain percentage.

Guess I'm doomed huh. I'm hoping a future update fixes this. Because even Hisuite doesn't allow me to rollback. The option to "Switch to another version" is not present as well.

Someone suggested it only appears when the battery is more fully charged and you were on 43% in the screenshot - have you tried it after a full charge?

it's only present in build 156.if you update to 157. you'll lose that option.

Well I'm rooted and flashed with EMUI Flasher Tool.
177 is newer than 178! No more difference just a number difference like always published by Huawei. Flashed today everything working fine and smooth.:good:

Yes. Battery seems to go down faster on this one and I also noticed a little weaker signal reception. That might be a problem.
I will try tonight after work 177 if that acts same then back to 161.
I was surprised with battery on 161, 2 days with heavy use now not sure about this fw
After s10+ with sd855 p30 pro holds first few days well or it's a just placebo effect now.

Well the signal strength issue was really bad for me. I had a lot of missed calls due to the phone not ringing. Where I've got usually 4 bars, now I had 0-2. Some of my calls didn't make it through. Trying to flash back .161

By all accounts EMUI 10 is close to dropping for Huawei devices, bringing an overhaul of visual changes.
Anyone have any leaks or images to share?
Be nice to get rid of that bloody settings screen for literally anything else.
Hopefully it'll be lighter and less bloated with easier customisations.

Ok let me rephrase it. I know Charlotte will eventually get emui 10. It's been officially stated by Huawei.
Beta program is a different story though. Not all devices that get official release are part of beta program available for global users.

(I'd just woke up pal, was super early and eyes hadn't opened quite just then, was just trying to avoid a crap thread full of negativity, but yea I get you )
Tbh the info out there is pretty sketchy at best.
The only device previewing it in China is the p30 pro. Which there is a video of.
I was so interested in the dark modes personally.
And ironically, I've just found a bunch of 9.1 emui themes which are actually working really well and are even theming 3rd party apps like WhatsApp, colours aren't awesome and there's no real editor of any kind but it's a step towards what I'm after..
Looking at the emui 10 video (which is probably a late version and will look identical to the final)
They've retained those bloody colourful icons in settings, the launcher is the same? I don't use it but thought they may have changed it.
Guess we'll see. Looks like they're going down the same route Samsung went down for literally the same reasons (OS too heavy)

Yea it was a nap mate. China / Huawei were getting a bit big a bit too quick for Google / USA, so Trump taxed their ass a bit, but overall Huawei was never going to eliminated from selling devices.
They just wanted to tax them a bit and let them know who's the ***** and who's not.
There's too much money involved to call it a day.
That being said, huawei seem to have had some insight into this as there is no way theyve constructed a full OS in that time, it must have been pre planned in order to have got as far as they have..
Being smart, they're protecting themselves..
I think one other thing it does mean tho, bootloaders are staying locked down.
It would take a very strange set of circumstances to turn that decision over.
Just can't see that ever happening.
