[Q] Unable to connect to gear - on gear manager

Hi all,
Just got my gear installed latest firmware & Null 23.
Also latest Gear Manager from the Samsung store.
My phone is Note 2 Android v4.3
Phone connects via Bluetooth to watch with no issues, Bluetooth tethering working OK.
But when I open the Gear Manager I get a "Unable to connect to gear" so basically I have no notifications on the watch.
Tried to search the forums and go over the stickies for the error or a Gear Manager tutorial, but found nothing relevant.
Tried repairing the devices, but did not help.
Will be happy for any advice.

Same issue, here, but 1.7 has terrible battery life. Anyone actually get 1.6 to work from the samsung store?
EDIT: Ended up flashing alliance and now all is well with 1.6. Seems some ROMs have issues with 1.6, and 1.7 has TERRIBLE battery life.

Noob Messup Galaxy Gear Null ROM

Hello
I recently installed a NULL 23 rom to my GG with Nexus 5
But today I removed gear manager from my phone by mistake an cant seem to pair it back up so I reset my phone an downloaded all the files again but will not pair,
Do i need to put a stock romback on as currently sitting at the option to use bluetooth or NFC to try an pair with phone but not getting any further
When I try an select restore or reset it drops the connection
Please help

I fixed this but accidentally upgraded to tizen

Samsung kies not working

Hi,
I recently upgraded my Samsung Galaxy Mini to New experience Stock ROM 2.3.6. Upgrade was successful and
everything is working fine. The backup I had taken in Samsung Kies is now becoming difficult
to put it back to my phone. I tried all possible ways to connect my phone to Samsung Kies but
this is not working. Due to this I am unable to restore my backup to my phone. Whenever I
connect my phone it gets stuck in connecting message and does nothing. It used to work before
the previous ROM.
Can anyone help? please

Hi guys,
I have the Gear 2 neo with Note 8 just When i'm try to open the Samsung gear apps it show me this message on my Note
" Error This device does not support Samsung GALAXY Apps. Check available devices on the Samsung GALAXY Apps website. (1004) "
i buy it from online market here in many locations,in saudia arabia
just plz help me i do everything i format my note 8 & i cleared cache evrytime and i try alot of firmware :cyclops: i updated everything :cyclops: i change my location in note 8 but nooooooooooo way:silly:
really i don't know what to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i spend my all time to format and reset and change firmware and check but no way like they make it to kill me

Hello Ahmedali2stop, http://www.sammobile.com/2014/04/16...-gear-2-neo-and-gear-fit-are-compatible-with/ unfortunately the Note 8 is not in this list. This does not mean you could not get it to work.
First update your Galaxy Apps to the latest version (14093005.02.008.1 - September 30, 2014 version 05.02.008.1) and find Samsung Gear Manager. From your description I understand that this works so far with your system, but that you are unable to get the Gear 2 Neo connected through Gear. Is it possible for you to install your original ROM and start from scratch, I know it sounds crazy but this week a major change was applied to sHealth (let me know if that is installed on your machine) and update to the latest version (3.5.1.0793) and go into settings to My Accessoires and in the bottom you see Scan (make sure the watch is also in discover mode). Let me know if they "see" each other. I am sorry if I repeat any steps you already might have taken as by doing these steps your watch will get reset again <sigh> but for testing purposes I feel this should at least lead to the discover if you might need to sideload things.

Samsung Kies keeps freezing every time I connect Galaxy Gear running Android

Hi. I have 2 Galaxy Gear's and I'm trying to upgrade one to Tizen and leave one on Android. I'm trying to upgrade via Kies and it completely freezes. I'm trying to avoid going through Odin. I'm running Windows 11. Could that be the issue? Will I have to use a Windows 7 PC or did Samsung finally shut down the update servers for these old devices? Thanks.
