Galaxy Note 9 : android version 8.1 can enable encryption internal storage ?
for example from the below picture. I'm the newbie and change smartphone from note 2 (android version 4.4.2).
Galaxy note 2 can enable encryption for internal storage. but i don't see this function on Galaxy note 9.

I think he was asking if the note 9 can encrypt internal storage.

Like was mentioned above, it's compulsory. There isn't an option, it's done automatically. :good:

Exactly. The sd card can be encrypted if desired, but the internal storage is encrypted by default and cannot be changed.

Hey guys I just checked my storage and the is over 6gb in other and I can't work out what is taking up that much space, is this the same for everyone?

for me it's 11Gb
these can be for example roms you copied to your phone

nandroid backups?
Normal, the data partition is 25.6GB on 32GB devices. Everything in other is system partition, radio, cache, recovery, kernel, etc.
OK guys cheers but it's not rooms or non droids as this it completely stock lol but I did think it was strange when it said I have 32gb storage as it's never normally that much

Firstly, I know, I know.. I should have done a fresh install when I upgraded from a N8 to an N9.
I clicked on a link in the stock email app to thank an Amazon customer, and I got the attached.. I was hoping it would show Chrome and Samsung Internet as option. Not sure what happened here. Originally I thought perhaps my device unlocked note 9 had chrome preinstalled but even so I cannot find my own restored copy to delete.

Wow thanks. I did uninstall updates of Chrome and now it no longer shows two of them. However no matter what I do I cannot set or get Samsung Internet to open links from the stock email. Like the one I posted earlier.

Well, I had two instances of Goole Play store, though now it has gone away...
So whenever I get a notification, regardless of app, whenever I look at the notification tray, it will open that app automatically. Like, it would act like I tapped it and open it like normal. This has been going on out of the box Day 1. I've looked everywhere and haven't been able to find an answer...

I am wondering if anyone have the same problem as me and have found a solution. My note 9 (snapdragon) keeps displaying login page and asking for username and password every time I try to connect to xfinity hotspot. I have used iphone and essential phone and they only asked for the 1st time and would remember afterward and connect automatically.
Everyone experience the same and found a solution ?
