Notifications on Lock Screen - Refresh time - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Questions & Answers

Hello,
I have been having this issue since day one with the Note 9, the notifications on lock screen, for example Viber Notifications or Outlook notifications remain on lock screen even after reading the messages on PC. For example the Viber badges and notifications remain there even after reading the chats on the PC, same with the emails from Outlook app when you read them on the PC.
Anyone solved this issue, anyone having the same issue?

Gmail unread count glitch

Hello there,
I'm having a slight glitch with the last version of Gmail, which came preloaded with Darky. The matter is that, while I receive and read my messages normally, the new emails don't disappear from the Unread count. Refreshing the account doesn't seem to solve the issue. It is not troublesome, since the new mails become correctly notified in the upper bar, but it renders widgets and dock icons useless.
Can anyone confirm this issue?

[Q] Gmail social/promo notifications

Hi all,
I've just upgraded to an N6 from the HTC M7 and having a small issue with gmail and the notifications. I get a notification sound and icon when something comes into the primary tab/label. I do not get any notifications/sounds when something comes into the Social or Promotion tabs. This is how my M7 functions.
I have checked the settings for gmail under both General Settings and the [email protected] which has Notifications and Inbox Sound & Vibrate (Label notifications, sounds, vibrate and notify for every message enabled). I've compared these against that of the M7 and they are like for like.
Right now, the Nexus is completely stock and gmail is v5.0.1 (1642443).
Any help/suggestions as to what I've done wrong would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Eyeloose
Nobody else has experienced this issue?
Just checked gmail again this morning - no notifications but 4 emails in social.

[Q] Gmail Syncing Notification

A few times a day, a Gmail notification appears in the notification area (top of screen) and also as a button on on the icon for the Gmail app. When I expand the notification, all it is for is that Gmail is Syncing. The notification automatically disappears when finished syncing. Is there a way to disable that particular syncing notification? It makes me think that I have a new email, and only way to tell is by viewing the notification, or waiting to see if it disappears.
I think this started happening ever since I added a second account.
I am on updated, stock, un-rooted Android.
Thank you,
try playing with the notifications settings for it - there's one for miscelanious, but it might remove the normal notifications for new mails too...

Messages For Web Silencing Notifications

Hey gang, wondering if anyone else has this issue. When I'm using Messages For Web (Google Messages SMS) it silences notifications on my phone. This is especially annoying if I leave Messages for Web up on my computer and leave the office, in which I get zero notifications.
Any idea how to fix this?
I just tested it and while it's running on my Windows PC I still get a notification on my phone.
Fixed this...you have to go to App settings and enable notifications. There's a separate section for 'notifications while using messages for web'

Email Notifications Do Not Disappear When Read on Another Device

On my Huawei P30 Pro I use multiple email accounts with the default mail app. When I get a new email, I get a notification as configured on the lock screen and in the status bar.
If I read the email on my computer, the notification on the phone never disappears, even if I wait for days. New notifications come if I receive more emails but the notifications for already read emails do not disappear until I manually remove them.
I cannot find any configuration for this. Is this the standard behavior and can it be changed?
