Huawei P9 EVA-L09 Project Menu missing - Huawei P9 Questions & Answers

I'm running full stock EMUI 5.0.2 and I can't access the Project Menu through the dialer by using the *#*#2846579#*#* code. All that happens is that the text field clears and returns to showing my recent calls. I've also tried to access it through the "Activity Launcher" app and it's nowhere to be seen in the activity list.

[Q] Dialer thread hidden

Playing around with the app manager I noticed that there is in fact a Dialer app that runs, but soon after you bring up the app manager, it hides it from view. It takes a few seconds to do that, so if you scroll down quickly you can catch it, select it and it gives you its info.
Is there a way to modify settings to get that Dialer app to be visible? I have already rooted the tab.
in the apps part of this u can change the contacts app and get the dialer back for vzw still doesnt work if u call it just goes directly to the home screen no fc nothing.

[Q] Missing option to enable widgets.

My Huawei Ascend P7 runs Android version 4.4.2, EMUI 3.0.
I'm unable to setup widgets on my lockscreen (swiping left/right just unlocks the screen), and there is no "Enable WIdgets" option in Settings > Security.
I read this thread, and tried downloading some new themes, different from the Balance one, but the option still doesn't show up. I tried changing lock screen methods as well (Huawei Unlock, PIN, ...) but still no trace of the option.
Any hint? My goal was to have Google Calendar on lock screen (pretty much like what happens on Windows Phone), so I'd be fine with a work-around as well.
Thanks in advance.

Enable logcat on P8 lite

Tested it and it seems to work.
Copied from XDA frontpage:
Open your dialer app and enter the following code:
*#*#2846579#*#*
You won’t have to press the dial button, as entering this code will immediately bring up a settings page called ProjectMenu. Here, you have several menus to look through.
Here's a brief explanation of each page:
Background Settings – the page we’re interested in. Here, you can change debug settings, USB connection settings, and “set UI theme color” (I’m not entirely sure what the function of this option is).
Veneer Information – detailed information about the software and hardware of the device
Network Information Query – detailed information about the network capabilities of the device and the SIM card
Software Upgrade – apply updates from the SD card
Restore Factory – factory reset
Battery Charge – battery information and recommended charge levels for long-term battery longevity
Enter the Background Settings page, where you will see several options. Click on “Log Settings” to bring up a dialog box with options to select the logging level. Check all 3 options to enable full logging. You will see a toast message saying that enabling any of these logging options “will affect performance” but you can safely ignore this warning. Once you’re done with this, reboot the phone. You should now be able to collect logs on your Huawei phone. Now get out there and help our developers debug their apps!

N920V "Just Once" open with option disappear after factory resetting

After factory resetting my 920V, the default app launch option, known as the "Just once" / "Always" option feature disappeared from my phone.
Instead, the pop up message saying "Default app selected" shows up again (which it was like this in Lollipop).
My ROM is up-to-date stock rom and haven't rooted nor installed any custom roms.
Does anybody have an idea what is going on with this issue?

[Emui 9.1] Pin SMS to top

Hi,
Is it possible that updating EMUI to 9.1 in Huawei P10 has caused the "Pin message to top" option in SMS stock app to disappear?
It seems that one can unpin messages that were pinned before updating to 9.1...
Thanks
Looks like it, once again the idiots strike........
