Hi,
in some AOSP custom roms, the camera sound by default isn't nice to hear.
I'm looking for a way to replace this sound with anoter, more "photographic"... like Miui, iOS or Pixel/Nexus camera sound.
Do you know how to do that ?

Guys, I found that taking photo sound really annoying me. I tried to mute it in camera setting, but it looks like this isn't available option anymore in ICS.
I tried to mute all sounds, but when I'm making photo I can hear that sound, then I tried to change camera_click.ogg and camera_click_short.ogg - still nothing.
I hope someone can help me, plz )

Few days ago I tried the cyanogenmod milestone 7 on my M7, that rom is amazing!! So many usefull options! The problem was the camera quality and it is still pretty unstable. I had the Renovate before which is nothing special and I'm currently using the Revolution HD 71.1 that seems to be ok but It is missing all those best stuff you can find in the cyanogen.
I really loved the notifications Profiles which can override the vibration and audio volumes for the notifications of each apps and the separate streams of ringtone and notification, it is possible to silence the ringtone keeping the notification and enable or disable the overall vibration from the same expanded volumes box! Also the slider to reduce the vibration strenght that is very noisy on this device
I just wonder if you guys know any rom with sense 6 (which is the only good for the camera) that has that tweaks or a firmware or whatever to enable that specific stuff..

It depends on what you are looking in a rom.
Camera is the same in all.
i do recommend insertcoin i think its the best one tbh.

Some would prefer android revolution or viper one.
but again it depends on your preference.

As many know, flashing an aosp/cm based rom (not including gpe) results in poor quality audio, low speaker volume etc.
I really love aosp roms with features such as theme chooser, but hate the tinny and quiet sound from the speaker compared to sense and gpe.
I would flash gpe but like theme chooser.
Anyone found an aosp rom that has impoved speaker volume, that includes the usual tweaks and theme chooser?
I appreciate there are mods and apps that supposedly improved the audio, but I've always wondered whether any improvement is placebo.

Search xda for volume+ this will allow you to raise the volume

Anyone else find the max volume lower on aosp roms? Not sure if its just me, but often I can barely hear notifications compared to a sense rom. Some however seem to have no speaker/audio problems on aosp.

It is well known that it is lower on aosp based roms. This is due to losing all of the beats and extra sound enhancements that HTC does. It's just one of the things you get used to.

All the roms that I experiment (AOSP / LOS) have always a bad sound recording, too low, almost no if there was but in the roms MIUI the sound is very good, only in this is no, some solution?
Use 3rd party sound recorder that has option to change the bitrate.
Can anyone please port the stock camera and gallery of the k20pro for custom roms. I want to root the phone and install a new rom but don't want to lose the crazy camera features and gallery features like sky filters, object cutouts, aperture adjustments & studio lighting. For the first time MI gave something that made me stick to the stock rom. Is there any solution for this? I want to switch but I am addicted to this camera, and Gcam doesn't perform as good as it does on other phones, so yeah if I switch its going to be with the stock camera. Please help! Gcam v7 works miles ahead of the stock cam!
But stock on custom will not be possible.. It needs the xiaomi framework & libs to function & customs don't have it.
