Hello, in advance I apologize for my English, I speak Spanish.
The issue of my request is that I think I have a hardbrick on my Huawei p10.
It happens that I installed a GSI / TREBLE Rom (android 8.1) to try it but I was not satisfied, but I decided to go back to stock firmware. In the process I had to install TWRP, because that's what the guide I followed requested. At a certain moment I was asked for my OEM unlock code and when writing it the phone tried to perform a factory reset, but TWRP does not let the process continue.
In summary, I have TWRP (which does not leave mount) and I do not have access to fastboot mode, besides the system does not start, it takes me directly to TWRP.
I hope any help you may receive, Thank you very much.
I was in that situation last day and I tried to boot phone in system recovery (Vol + Vol - and power button), after few tries of booting phone manually (vol + power; vol - power both and power etc... I tried them all) it entered in e-recovery where it installed (needs wifi) the whole system from scratch and after that it boots in stock firmware (for me is B375) and then I re-installed magisk and twrp. I explained really bad I know, but I managed to solve this! Probably someone will give you a more detailed explaination!

Thanks for answering.
You also do not have access to the bootloader before solving it? The truth is that I have been with the problem for days and I can not fix it. I will try with what you suggest.

Long story short, I have the I8190L version of the phone, currently on stock ROM. I got the phone a few weeks ago and I have rooted it right away, there were no problems while rooting, I used the Galaxy S3 mini toolkit and used the "Flash Insecure Boot Image and Root device" option, with SuperSU 1.25. Fast forward to right now, I want to install CyanogenMod, so I went and tried to boot my phone into Download Mode, to try and flash CWM recovery in order to install the Cyanogen ROM, but I simply can't start download mode, when connected to the USB pressing the Vol up + menu + power sequence, the phone just starts normally (The OS will load completely). adb reboot download doesn't work too, vol up + vol down + power and plugging in the usb cable doesn't work.. I did several hard resets and I removed root too, noone of those worked. I don't know if that is relevant, but I installed a patched google play (4.1.10 Chelpus version), I could not find a way to remove that. I can't reroot too because I would need to start my phone in download mode. Anyone knows what is happening?

are you connecting your phone to PC before you go to download-mode???
try this: download-mode (Vol up + Menu + Power) and now connect your device with your computer!
flash CWM or whatever you want...

That did not work, when it is about to go to download mode it seems that it fails and either boots the OS or just turns off (depends on how much I hold the buttons), and since adb reboot download doesn't work I think something got corrupted (adb finds the device and reboots it, but it just starts up normally).
I'm not sure why, but noone of the articles I read mentioned the actual CORRECT download mode sequence, which is: Volume Down + Home + Power buttons, and then click on Volume Up, it is working now. Thanks.

Well if you looked at the screen you would know what to press after vol down+home+power
oh my God,
you are all right.
i mixed up step one and two of Download-Mode - sorry
first you have to push Vol Down + Menu + Power (few seconds)
start odin as admin
second you connect your device to PC
third you push Vol Up
fourth you flash via Odin.
I often flash ROMs via Odin and / or use CWM so that works automatically ....

Ok, so there are a lot of threads about soft bricks and bootloops, I have answered in a lot of threads but it seems it needs separate thread to explain how to "revive" your phone from bootloops and soft bricks.
First of all, I don't guarantee that it will work but mostly this tricks do their job.
Tricks were tested and worked on many phones, but I don't take responsibility for hard bricked phones after performing tricks from this thread.
Sometimes you need to repeat process because everything must be done with perfect timing. Also if one method won't work try another.
1. Prepare your phone to press recovery combination and while plugging phone to USB or charger, hold keys and release when samsung logo appear. Do Factory reset in recovery
2. (the best) turn on phone into download mode and don't accept terms, when phone will reboot quick hold recovery combination and release when samsung logo appear. Do Factory reset in recovery
(3). Emergency download mode (when phone wib but don't turn on screen) - take off battery for few minutes, after that time hold download combination and insert battery, wait few seconds (so normally it would boot and enter dm), accept terms by pressing volume down, connect USB and flash stock Rom
4. usefull tip - Always have backup created in CWM on phone, you never know when it will be needed. What I do is creating backup every week/two weeks, also I have stock backup. I really recomend to create backup before flashing CM while you are on stock (it will guarantee everything will 100% work if something fails), it helped me a lot of times.
(recovery combination - volume up, volume down, power, home)
(download mode - volume down, home, power / accept terms volume down, decline - volume up)
In 1 and 2 "just in case" you can flash stock Rom, when it will start to reboot after Odin finish flashing, take off battery and insert again (to stop boot process) phone should boot into recovery normally but repeat point 2 to be sure.
Also, what is importiant, ALWAYS have turned on debug mode in your usb settings, first thing you should do after flashing CM, turn on debug mode.
===================================================================================================================================================
When you are switching from CM to stock, after flashing stock you will have almost 100% chance that you will have bootloop on samsung logo. You have to factory reset before first boot. So, after flashing stock, when odin will proceed reboot your phone, unplug phone and take off battery (take off battery cover before flashing, but be careful not to drop battery while flashing via odin, it would be really really bad for your phone, hold phone and battery all the time). After inserting battery back and assemble cover, go to recovery and do factory reset.

Thank you for this ! The decline download mode agrements , press recovery combination trick worked , I managed to get to recovery ! I flashed stock rom 3 times and tried repartition with pit ...but this is the only thing that worked ! Thank you
Now I have a Idea about a Un-brick:
1. If you want to return (after a Forget a clean data/cache/dalvik) When You can downgrade with .md5 Stock ROM (or Custom)
2. If Recovery Doesn't works... You can only Download Mode (Volume Down + Home + Power) - Remember it's that's not with SIM/SD Card [Maybe that's optional if it forget but I will be recommend.]
3. Flash to Newest "ClockWorldMod"
4. After Restart - That's must be take off battery and Connect USB Cable to SGMII
5. Let's Turn On Recovery Mode with a "Samsung Logo" Before Input Battery [With a Battery it's doesn't does it Start,on Fortunately...]
6. And... Let's to clean data/cache/dalvik... And that's All of "Open source Unbrick"
What Did a get:
+ Downgrade ROM without a Additonal Box (Because that's Open source with a Easy-Root and Not Close-Source as a Self of Old Sony Ericsson Tuning - But I Like a Old Sony Ericsson's Too ... And "Sony" looks from a 2007 about a Modifications and Sony is not a blocked for Android - Fortunately... And for a Today Some users remembers about a Big Seasons Tunings from K310i or K550i [I had a Two phones... That's nice what I discovered about a ROM's Modifications... And Let's praise for Sony that's Not blocked for Androids... Thank you,Sony. ]
+ That's can be again to Upgrade eg. Cyanogenmod
And... A knowledge... Hope that's share a help.
might want to consider adding this
Hi OP, you might want to add this to your thread..
so, early this week, i faced a bad bootloop situation after the software update.. Even with a normal boot (no vol+,home button and power button pressing), my phone will still be stucked at CWM recovery..
Note that my phone was working fine, only the software update caused my phone to stuck in the CWM bootloop..
So, what i did was, i updated my CWM 4.0.8.2 [ my bad, cause when i rooting my phone initially last few weeks, and i've been reading outdated threads].. So, i updated my CWM 4.0.8.2 to CWM 6.x through CWM recovery..
Then, after it rebooted, i go to download mode, connect my phone through ODIN and flashed stock rom.
Now, it is working fine like new..
Hello,
After rooting my p880, my phone hangs at boot. Just after the boot sound (*pling* ) the phone is hanging. The boot image is still moving.
Things I tried already:
I followed this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069723, which tells to do a kdz update. This is not working, as I am not able to get to the S/W upgrade screen. Instead, when I start the phone using the power button + volume down, i get the Android system recovery menu (3e).
I tried to upload a new (cyanogenmod) rom using adb sideload, but that didn't work, as the file I used was damaged (I will retry with new file).
I also did a factory reset and a cache wipe.
Can someone tell me what is best to do?
Kind regards
X-cal

I don't enter in the fastboot mode. The phone is blocking in mode FFBM and I can't touch de bottoms on display
Press & hold Vol+ and Vol- - now press (and hold) Power until phone vibrates. Release power key.
If there is a new screen, release Vol keys,
Select ENGLISH and shutdown.
Now restart phone

Nope. I have the same situation and am stuck with the test mode screen when attempt to boot the system. Recovery works fine. Tried the hold both volume buttons and plug into PC, and now have tried this. Always the same screen, nothing about selecting English, just the option to access the Options Menu. Selecting Fastboot takes me to menu where Ican select Recovery, Startup, AND "Boot to FFBM". Have wiped all but internal SD, and "Repaired" System, Persist, Cache. Have tried installing an official ROM and Lineage ROM. No combinations of these have fixed the problem.
Problem started when I was updating the official ROM and decided to try out the FFBM boot option. BIG mistake.
Now am stuck with a system that will no longer boot.

UPDATE: TWRP 3.0.3-0 saved my ass. It permits selection of booting into EDL (9008) mode, bypassed all the PC based commands that weren't working, and I reloaded Zuk factory ROM again. Got past the test mode screen finally. Discovered that I don't care for the original ROM at all, too many Google things I'm accustomed to (Like Google Play store) missing. Added a few things back in, but wasn't worth the trouble. It took me about 15 minutes to refla sh it using TWRP with the latest nightly version of the Mokee ROM for this device (Android 7.1.2) and it works GREAT. Lineage wasn't ready yet.
The only hold over from all my initial problems is that upon boot it acts of if I'm doing the up Vol button action. It goes to the screen where I can press a Vol button and go into the boot loader or just wait 5 seconds for it to carry on booting normally. I don't know how to correct this, but not really a problem.

Hi.
Im having alot of trouble doing custom stuff with my mi 9. At this point i have succesfully flashed aospextended on my mi 9 but i cannot enter twrp. It just "recovery loops" with the mi logo. I have tried flashing it again, just booting to twrp from fastboot but it still won't boot to twrp. I am consistently having issues booting to twrp at a point where i had to flash global stable from fastboot because it never stopped booting to stock recovery, where after i formattet cache and userdata. Thanks in advance.

Hi!
Try telling us what you have done so far (in terms of modifications as well). Which recovery did you (try) flashing?
I personally tried skiantibag & maufirinio (I know it's not the proper spelling but you'll find it) + flashing RevolutionOS.
You've probably heard it already: Fastboot -> flash recovery -> does it boot into (after shutting down -> volume up + standby pressed)
If not try (first flashing the recovery) then booting from the .img file via fastboot.
After that wipe everything and flash Revolution OS/xiaomi.eu. Do you still experience the problems then? Short hint at the end: setup a password (code - during the android setup process) since your storage gets encrypted (no matter what - at least for me).
Good night, good luck!

after flashing twrp, (assuming ur using fastboot cmds to boot to twrp) use buttons to reboot to twrp. Long press power button and volume up together until device reboots, once it vibrates, let go of power but keep holding vol up until twrp boots. Then disconnect phone from pc. Twrp should now stick. Which twrp you using?

This. Rebooting from command line did not work for me either. Just press power + vol up until screen closes and keep pressing 3 more seconds after mi logo appears.
