Hi! Yes, OTA works fine. Epic ROM for Redmi 4 Prime works like Epic ROM for Mi MIX. This is not a port, this is Epic ROM project.
Many usefull tweaks and improvements/mods for MIUI official build for many devices.
I am working now over Mi MIX and Redmi 4 Prime... Soon, probably, also MI 6.

sir this is the current rom installed on my redmi 4 prime phone when i bought it from a friend, now there is an update for your rom version 9.2.2 i believe this is a nougat based custom roms of yours. how can i install this update? can you initialized to me step by step procedure for this one.
do i need to update my phone to original nougat based rom first before installing your rom? or can i install it directly i.e. MM Epic ROM > Nougat Epic ROM? just clean flash
I am not using this rom, but I think this is still marshmallow.

Latest EpicRom is based on Marshmallow with miui 9.
I'm sick of this buggy Android one "experience". I wanna flash a custom Rom but guess how many exist for the A2. 0 Roms exist. None. I know I should be patient, but it doesn't even seem like there will be official lineage os for this phone. Are there no developers for this phone? (outside of the hex kernel developer, thanks for developing the kernel!) It sucks that all the attention was taken away from the A2 by the Poco.
Edit: I'm not fond of the idea of converting to 6x.

Just out of curiosity, If you want so much a custom ROM, why don't you develop It yourself? Don't you think it's a bit too much to complain that no one took their free time and knolowedge to make your free roms?
That are so many people complaining that I'm seriously thinking of developing one and charging for It. How much would you pay for It?
Stock rom is full of bugs. Also it is not pure android it has some hidden bloatware (mi store etc).

Good question. I have no experience in rom developing or any kind of developing. I guess it does sound a bit selfish. But it's just that this is a nice phone and it doesn't have much development. Heck even my ZTE Blade V6 and Huawei p9 lite had more rom development.
I've never considered how much I'd spend on a rom. So I don't really have an answer.

I'm using mi a2 6gb ram / 128gb storage... didn't found any bloatware like mi store... except for xiaomi file manager, remote, feedback and xiaomi share..I disabled 2 of them and keep xiaomi remote and feedback...

Are you using stock launcher? The bloat doesn't show up on the stock launcher. I had some Chinese app installed.

I'm using stock one... Can I know what launcher you used?
For the MIA1 we have had to wait around 1 year for official lineage and around 8 month for unofficial version...
It will come for the A2, but not today.
And idem, no bloatware in my A2...

same here, I will wait for that day to come... I already unlocked bootloader (not fastboot unlock critical).. my earliest plan is to change to treble rom... but since it's pretty buggy here and there based on the comments that I've read , I canceled my plan and will wait for official pie update,or official custom rom such as lineage, arrow os or resurrection remix to come to our device, I will appreciate it ?

Caping isn't a bloatware, it's a preinstalled app on phones planned to be sold on taiwan market.
It isn't preinstalled in all phones, you can read this in the thread about this.
No need to install a 3rd party launcher, for example I use easyshortcut maker to explore inside my phone.
Usually people buy android one phones because they don't want custom roms I guess. They want stock Android

Read the thread and you'll find the answer.
In short, no, there are none A2 specific ROMs in that thread and only one custom kernel. Others require you to convert to 6X or are Treble ROMs.
since mi a2 has project treble support, so why not you visit project treble thread

I have here a redmi note 8 and a redmi note 10. now I noticed that the MIUI Launcher versions are different, the version of note 8 is much older and an update is not offered.
Which version do you have installed on your note 8?
I am afraid that I am not offered an update which is actually available.
Would it be possible for you to post your version here so that I can check if I am up to date on the note 8?

first things first, there's no redmi note 10..yet...you must have mi note 10 which is their flagship phone..so yes it must have a latest version compared to the cheaper redmi note 8...
secondly, app versions and even rom verison may differ from region to region..ex- global rom might have version different than europe or chinese one.....
If you don't see an update..then you probably have the latest version...do not compare with different phones..even with same phones but different region roms....

I'm not using the stock launcher since it's poor and has many issues I'm using one similar to samsung launcher
I use poco Launcher better that Redmi vertion
Try finding the miui 12 launcher its way better

check if you're running MIUI, if so just install as update to the stock launcher (you dont have to install as system)

I've tried... it seems the app has been installed... but I don't see any difference respect before, for what concerns the system launcher. :|
edit: retried giving permissions and the app has been regularly updated.

Go with leon Os either android 11 or 12 from bootloopers. I have tested every single custom rom for this RN11 either AOSP based Or Miui based (inc Raven Ui) if you are catching my drift. So the final conclusion is either use official miui or use miui repack by leon. It is similar to official miui but with enormous customization and unlocked features.

Hey I apologize for my late response, I was busy with taking my final exams. So yeah let me just mention. I have tried Evolution X both A12,13, Cr Droid, Covrus, Arrow Os A13, PPUi, PE, Cherish Os, Project Elixir, Superior Os, Raven Ui and Leon Ui. When depends on your preferable interface, If you are into stock AOSP experience then Evolution X is all that I can easily recommend and if you are into Port Rom then Leon Os is tha best.

I will but that's a modification from an Indonesian or Malaysian YouTuber, I just didn't understand the language he was using while reviewing his rom.

Mine is on A12, The link shared by Tech Office on telegram is of Oldest A11 mode, Tech Office didn't review the new updates. Just don't go for it. The video link I've shared previously is legit. Follow the steps I've mentioned in the previous post.

No the link shared by Tech Office on telegram is of Oldest A11 mode, Tech Office didn't review the new update. Just don't go for it. The video link I've shared previously is legit.

Unfortunately not, specially with this device, the stock/official ROM is terrible laggy. I found the AbhiX ROG Edition By Dark Raven 22.4.13 Beta, the better and faster from all the Miui stock based ROMs.
First booting, deleting all the bloatware stuff apps, removing animation effects, all is ok by now.

Well, my post was comparing within Miui custom ROMs based, BUT, no doubt, (almost) any AOSP based ROM works noticeably better and faster in general terms.
I had an astonishing performance with AncientOS, so any time I could return to it.

sry for just changing my question , but i was thinking to use differnt custom rom , so i finalized between superior os and cdroid , they both have custom icon pack support in deafult luancher , which do u suggest , i was thinking acient os but well
