I just received my 512gb unlocked note 9 in blue from Samsung direct (samsung.com) and it did not have a single tamper/security strip of tape unlike all my previous galaxy devices. Is this the way this variant comes now?

The two I got from Amazon were the same, no tamper seal nor evidence there was ever a seal.
Mine had a seal. Bought from retail outlet

Bought from Samsung direct U1 no security tape.
Probably easier for Samsung to slip in a few refurbs for customers

Got my 512GB 960F/DS directly from Samsung, had a 'European SIM only' sticker / seal on it.
No tape on mine, US unlocked from Samsung.

...me too, got my S9+ directly from Samsung and investigated it a little, the first odd thing about that phone was the IMEI SV(software version) already at 07(flushed several times?). Then the internet search for IMEI number indicated that the phone was shipped and registered about one month prior to my purchase, furthermore, upon examination of the shipping box I discovered the name of the shipping facility from where the "brand new" phone was sent to me: PLAIFIELD RETURN CENTER 2675 Reeves Rd.,...etc...etc. I'm keeping the box as a little souvenir after this whole ordeal. That must be the place where they do the refurb cleanup and push it over as Brand New. After two months I'm still waiting for my refund money, stopped callin' useless, totally incompetent, lying, so called, Samsung Customer Service, gonna have to file small claim court case instead. They have stolen my money and are totally indifferent about it.
I received mine in a sealed box from Samsung UAE

iv got my phone from UK with UK adupter
im looking for EU plug for the p300
like this
link for picture
but cant find one ship that sell it for reasonable price the shipping is approx 15$
anyone have a spare one? (ill pay for it +shipping)
or a shop that ship worldwide in normal cheap air mail?
tried dealextreme.com ?
Edit:
you may buy a adapter from the UK to EU plug. dont know where you live but there may by a electro shop near you that sell a adapter.
i ordered an uk to eu plug convertor but it is to big for a pocket cause the UK plug is damn BIG, and i also tried other usb chargers but they are much slower, the original charge full at 2 hours max
Hi,
check at expansys.com and search for "HTC EU Plug for TC P300 International Travel Charger" or similar. I bought one for £7 in the past. Here is the link for USA
http://www.expansys-usa.com/htc-int...ger-package-2008-tc-p300-eu-plug-only-206938/
You can changed for different country of your choice.
Why not get one in the EU at a local shop? There probably are loads of cheap micro-USB chargers around.
My experience is that the brand does not matter: I often use my girlfriend's Sony Ericsson charger and every now and then a Blackberry one of friends.
thanks ever1, i've also been 4 1 of these

If your stuck I can probably ship you one. payment would be PayPal (debit/credit cards could be used if you do not have PayPal account) would send via airmail at flat cost.
PM if interested & I will get exact prices for you.
One further point do you need 2 pins to be round or can they be 2 flat pins ? probably have both available here. the 2 pin HTC charger frome Desire is rather nice in terms of pocket-able size... I have the T-Mobile HTC HD2 charger which has flip down two pin euro/asia/usa style pins, nice & simple for travelling & another plus for the T-Mobile version HD2.
*Mmm, just spotted date of post ! reckon you sorted it by now lol ...

Haha nice!
They only sell Galaxy Ace from one carrier so it's a lack of accessories here(Sweden).
And besides, free worldwide shipping!

Do you usually get 2 backplates? I actually wanted to order the black one since i only got a white colored one
But i'm just gonna get this one as a spare(/customize the hell out of it!!).
Anyways, "Your item(s) has been marked as shipped".
edit: Lol, the seller just PMed me about the black one: eBay
Got 4dollars left on my paypal acc so im too lazy to recharge it with 2dollars, just to get another one...
There are rumours that when you got two backpanels when you bought the SGA then your phone might be made in Vietnam otherwise its made in Korea.
Not sure wether its true or not though..
Anyway, I just ordered a spare backpanel a while ago via Samsung's Service Center and it cost me about $3
Can't stop thinkin why it could be that expensive in eBay

Only US market devices are assembled in the US, all others are assembled in China. Just search for some of the comments from Canadian buyers noting their devices showing as assembled in China.

I travel between Canada and the US quite a bit. and let me tell you the ads and Website for Motorolla when on the Internet in the U.S. is WAYYYYYYY different from in Canada. I wouldn't be surprised if you are living in the U.S. if it's hard to find any information on non-american made phones. Even between google.ca and google.com it sends me in completely different directions for most things.
500km?? that's like 2 million miles!
I can confirm that the non-custom phones ARE made in the USA. I have mine, standard black from at&t and the box and the phone say right on it that it is designed and assembled in the USA. Now the box does say on it that the accessories are made in China.

Hi guys!
I am waiting on a new Unlocked N6 from amazon and it is due in tomorrow. I couldn't resist the opportunity to get a bloat free phone that i could take with me if and when I ever get rid of verizon. I am still on a grandfathered unlimited plan so I probably won't change until they forcibly remove that from me. Right now I am limping along with a Verizon branded Note 3. It has served me well for the last two years despite some radio issues and of course, the usual verizon baggage.
The only decent thing with verizon, however, is the 5 or so bucks a month I pay for ****-up insurance. I am nearly 100% positive my new phone will not be covered by Azurion so I am getting slightly nervous knowing i will not have a safety net. Have any of you who have an Unlocked version found a good method for insurance for the more spastic/drunk moments in life? Are the any good alternatives out there? I looked at amazon's in-house insurance ( i think) and TBH the reviews left a lot to be desired. I have heard talks about insurance from Moto but never any direct reviews of it of even if it is a real thing. Are there some that i should absolutely stay away from due to folks getting the shaft?
I figured i would bring this dilemma to you seasoned users and hope that you guys aren't just living on the edge!
Thanks in advance for your replies!
I've never used it but have heard good things about square trade. Maybe give their website a visit and check your options.
Square trade is leading with insurance.
I'm on grandfathered plan also. No insurance. Just hold my nuts and if it happens it happens. LMAO
I'm on Verizon, Nexus 6, and 7. I've never paid for "insurance" for myself. Deductible is stupid ridiculous. Put it on my daughters s5, she dropped it. Didn't even use it, replaced it for about the same as the deductible. Scam! And [email protected], if I ever get that damn sloppy the phone is the last thing I'm worried about breaking. 40K truck in a ditch, now that's a deal breaker. But I hold em, I see those sloppy blackout falling on the floor fools. Not me. Let's discuss the phone and how badass it is. Worrying about what its? I can help with that! It is a developer thread, not state farm.

I preordered the phone with Tmo via calling customer support. Is there a way to get in line now for the buds or do I have to wait until I get the phone?
Thanks in advance,
If it's anything like pre-ordering from Samsung then you have to wait until you get the phone. You then have to log into the Samsung Memebrs App, enter your new handsets IMEI, proof of pre-order etc and then wait for Samsung to send you your galaxy buds.
I could be wrong but I am fairly certain that the above will work regardless of who you order the phone through. However if in doubt, contact the retailer you pre-ordered from.

Then all I can advise is contact the retailer. Here in the UK what I described is how it works, I assumed (wrongly it appears) that it would work the same for the rest of the world.

It varies from country to country it seems. For example, it's exactly like you described here in Switzerland, while in Italy you have to pre-register your buy on an homepage before the phone actually gets released (last chance is 7 March at 2200), and then you still have to rely on the preinstalled app to complete the process.
Op, when you say you ordered from Tmo, I am guessing you mean T-Mobile in the USA? If so, then what I stated in my original post stands. Took all of 30 seconds to find the answer to your question as per the below link from T-Mobile's site.

Of course you may not be in the US, but I am fairly certain the free galaxy buds promo is done via Samsung wherever you are.
If this still doesn't answer your question then can you maybe give us a bit more info?
