AOSP Extended is an AOSP based rom which provides stock UI/UX with various customisations features along with the Substratum theme engine. The project has been made by cherry-picking various commits from various other projects. Being based on AOSP it provides a smooth and lag-free experience out of the box. Idk if you know the rules here, but asking "can I get a merlin thread for this" on every thread even when you can clearly see that it's not there is just a way to ask for an ETA. We only got few great devs working for our device so don't annoy them by asking for updates. You'll get the ROM or kernel once it's ready. No more discussion on this.

Thanx bro for your help....but I have tried them already.... And all the packages available there is not working properly, they force twrp to reboot while installation and hence gapps is not installed.

Bro @ishubhamsingh....sorry to say, but still the SIM TOOLKIT app is not working..
And one more thing, I saw just now that when I rebooted my device there where 2 simultaneous reboot one after another...and this is happening on every reboot after that....

I WAS USING THE 26TH SEP ALPHA BUILD BEFORE AND NOTICED SOME BUGS AND THEN MOVED TO RR
SO THE BUGS WERE-
VOLTE BREAKS AS MENTIONED
MUSIC APP DOESNT WORK IN BATTERY SAVING MODE,IT SHOW'S FC.
AND YES THE DEVICE USED TO HANG AND RESTARTS AFTER 2-3 SECONDS.
THAT'S IT
CAN I KNOW THAT THE ABOVE BUGS ARE FIXED IN THIS BUILD?

Please do not write in capital letters, as it often is considered as shouting and also not reputable... If you want the bugs to be fixed faster try pulling a logcat for the FC issue in music player and last_kmsg for the reboots and post them here. Thank you

1.) WiFi display has lock screen issue. Disable lock screen while using WiFi display
2.) HWKey lights light up sometimes automatically even if its set to light up only when button is pressed
3.) Android auto and USB audio do not work well now
4.) TLS or certificate WiFi authentication for corporate WiFi does not work
5.) Voice over WiFi doesn't work
6.) Offline charging animation is broken for now
7.) Deep sleep gets broken after using hotspot (Toggle Wifi/Airplane mode for temporary fix)

ROM Updates and my releases:
I wanted to lay down here that I am a busy guy. I study in college now so I am pretty busy with my studies. Also I have other hobbies other than android development. I'll always try to build ASAP as the sources are updated. Like always I'll always mention the bugs. The builds I'll be posting will be heavily tested so it can always play as a daily driver. People always tell me that I don't update my ROM often. I don't understand whats the reason for updating every night? How can I push OTAs if there is nothing new features, bug fixes and improvements. I always push updates whenever its necessary, I hope no one asks for ETAs always. Please be respectful to each other in the thread and there is no need to make a fuss about anything. Read this

But, why i have enable force encryption? How it disable?

How to disable the force encryption tho? Every reboot it asks for decryption code also on twrp too.
I tried reflashing the whole thing and starting from scratch but it still remains, Also if i wanna switch back to my old stock xiaomi rom, will this prevent it?
I only backed up data,boot and system the usual.
Using the rom on redmi Y3.

Before installing the rom, format data...then it won't ask for password when booting the rom for the first time... If you set a scrren lock,then you need to enter your password for decrypting... Encryption is a security feature in android .. Not a bug... When the rom don't boot even you entered the correct password.. then it is bug.. bro ..So here it is not a bug.. encryption works perfect
Edit - it is a feature... Before entering a new password or pattern..it asks permission to use this password to start up your device !!! So say no to this ... Then it won't ask password anymore for boot !!!

You can disable it when you add a new password for screenlock!!

Say No for this when you set a screenlock!! You must read what your phone shows you!! xD.. i posted here only for who asked how to disable force encryption!!.... Lol... It is not a rom bug...

Without magisk,Yeah you can but you need to disable dm-verity through fastboot!!
In fastboot ,flash vbmeta.img by this command
fastboot flash vbmeta --disable-verity vbmeta.img

Use Chrome instead of Google drive.. you can download from drive... but Chrome is the easiest one..

they are reduced vastly they are still there but not much used Aex for 3 days haven't got a single one

this trip with you guys no matter the rom (derp aex crdroid or anything) ends here i sold my tissot (Mi A1) thus i officially discontinue development for this device
I had great time here you guys always were supportive sincier & patient for updates & everything, if i didn't made roms to your expectations i am sorry for it
i bought redmi note 10 pro max (IN)

-Make sure that you have backed up your data and are familiar with your device
-Also make sure that you have unlocked your bootloader
-Have a custom recovery installed on your device or use the AEX Recovery provided (Orange fox, TWRP or any other recovery like the PE recovery will work. Don't use LOS recovery)
-Boot into the recovery mode
-Clean up your data by format data/factory reset option in the recovery
ADB Sideload Method:
-Select "apply update from adb"
-Now sideload your AEX package by using command
adb sideload filename.zip
-Now reboot your device
Direct ZIP Flash Method:
-Flash the ROM.zip (+Gapps if necessary) via the Recovery UI itself
-Wipe dalvik/cache
-Reboot your device
First boot will take a few minutes! Have patience
Clean Flash is always recommended!

After 6 months with Lineage OS (+ ANX cam) flashed again my Redmi Note 10 Pro with the AOSPExtended ROM.
Super light, super fast with perfect battery life AND the most important: PERFECT MIUI Camera support!!!

Nothing serious but the title of the thread shows "AospExtended ROM v9.0 [UNOFFICIAL]" when the to download files contain "v9.1-sweet-OFFICIAL".
For me personally it doesn't matter.
To avoid any confusion that would be nice to add "Vanilla" or "Gapps' to the name of the to download files.
In the post above, I read "Redmi Note 10 PRO + AOSPExtended ROM & MIUI Cam + GCam MOD & GCam conf & GCam Lib".
Is MIUI Cam installed ?
I think well because I tried to install latest version of MIUI Cam and I received

After 3 weeks of active usage have to say that this ROM is AWESOME!
No any problems with anything, BUT 2-3 days ago some very strange battery drain started ...
According to the Battery usage the problem is from Google Play Services and the Settings app ... hmm
Few days ago I added some additional multyaccount, installed and updated few apps and almost nothing else which I can remember ...
I have Installed last 3-4 days this NEW apps: Lucky Patcher (from the official site). 70 MAI, Yi Home camera app, App Cloner, RAR
I have uninstalled all of them, removed the additional multi account, removed my google play account and will investigate this STRANGE battery drain problem ...

no one with an idea how I can use/add face unlock?

I think that this rom should be dead or located on another forum or ... :
nothing is moving = no exchange between users ;
no answer of the developer to questions : see precedent post ;
no more update since 3 months ;
no more access to download link ;
...
It's a shame : this rom was very promising.
The moderator should be kind to ask the developer to close this thread.

Greetings everyone,
When we started the AospExtended a.k.a AEX project, we aimed to build and share a ROM with everyone that included the needed features and apps we all wanted. Like any FOSS project, maintaining AEX took time and financial commitment from the core developers. The team consisted of young developers that had both. Over the years, everyone in the group progressed in their life toward their goals. Some became professional developers, some started universities, and some just got important personal life commitments.
While we all are thrilled with the personal development of our team members, this brought a significant issue among us: none of us could commit ourselves to the project due to time constraints. After discussing this issue internally, we have reached a mutual decision.
With a heavy heart, we are announcing today that the AospExtended project is going on an indefinite hiatus.
We are grateful for the love the community has shown us over all these years and would like to thank everyone who has been part of the journey till now.
