Does anybody experience a 3% to 5% battery drain just a few minutes after charging the battery to 100%? It has already reached 100% so I already unplugged it from the charger, but then I noticed after a few minutes, it went down to 97% already, and then in 10 minutes, it's already down to 96%. In 3 hours, it's down to 84%; in 7 hours, it's down to 38% and that's just on standby mode with Wifi/Bluetooth OFF, 3G OFF, GSM only. I've been experiencing this problem for the past few days now. I've already conditioned my battery, charging it to a full charge (100%) after draining the battery until it shuts the phone off. I only charge the battery while the phone is off and usually it takes about 3 to 4 hours maximum to charge it to 100%.
The longest time it reached was 12 hours (battery unplugged from charger) and that is with light use, such as Wifi is only on for a couple of hours, so basically just 2 hours web browsing and skype, 10-20 text messages and 30 minutes to 1 hour browsing the photo gallery or watching videos. No phone calls and 3G is off. The rest of the day, the phone is just on standby mode. I only have at most 10 widgets on the home screen. I have Avast Antivirus running in the background.
I am currently using Easy Battery Saver, Easy Task Killer, GO Task Manager and Battery Monitor Widget. I've uninstalled Juice Defender since I don't think it helps that much when it comes to the battery drain. Currently, the power saving option (available on Note) is enabled at 50%.

Any feedback or comment on this matter would be really much appreciated. Thanks!
From a personal standpoint. Your screenshots shows that your phone had never ever done a deep sleep at all. the 'Awake' mode is continously consistent as well. I guess the probable reason for that is you've installed ''Avast AV" on your phone. It's always running in the background (whenever the phone is ON). From my experiences, Any background application running would always cause wakelocks and the phone would never enter into deep sleep at all.
How bout you try uninstalling some of the background apps your using esp. Avast AV and give it a day to observe if your still having that battery drain issue. (Don't forget after uninstalling or removing those apps, try to wipe dalvik cache and battery stat and restart your phone after.)
and Oh by the way, I am using Juice Defender and contrary to your saying it doesn't help.. IT DOES HELP save battery as I my Note is able to reach 1.5- 2 days of normal use.
Cheers!
Yeah and download betterbatterystats and do some searching on it. With it you can discover what is causing those wakelocks. Search the web for more info on your wakelocks.

I'm using avast and never seen a drain like that. Only time I have is because of background processing. First thing I would do is turn off Background Data
Then as others have said - check batterystats to see where wakelocks are
Plus a rooted phone is a good thing. Titanium backup allowed me to freeze wi-fi sharing which also made a big difference
Finally - clear all caches from Applications menu and reboot

Only picture that shows that is the one with 1 minute 56 sec discharging time, so it was taken shortly after taking charger out. No suprise of it being almost 100% screen on time there if its only 2 minutes
Also installing "cpu spy" will give the cumulative time that your cpu spent at each frequency including deep sleep , mine is showing 88%
John.
Anti virus app is battery hog, I had avast before too, and I uninstalled it after 2 days using. Also that Juice defender, from my test before, it use up more battery than it saved. turning on and off those 3G/Wifi thing is using up alot of battery. and you know what? even the betterbatterystats use up alot, at least to me, becoz it scan what is up frequently.
Hello! Thank you all so much for your response. I've installed both BetterBatteryStats and CPU Spy and here are the results (please see attachments). Upon checking CPU Spy, it shows there that phone did went to deep sleep, maybe? I'm not quite sure, but it shows on the screenshot that it went to deep sleep for 19%. So does that mean the phone really went to sleep?? I'm sorry to ask this question, since I've never really encountered this problem before with my previous Samsung Wave phone, how will you know that your phone went straight to deep sleep mode?
Also, after 46 minutes or so, the battery went down to 96% already after charging it. The battery drain was already 4% in less than an hour.
@letters_to_cleo: I have not uninstalled Avast yet, since I'm still hesitant to use my phone without an AV. But I will try your suggestion for 1 day and see if there's any battery improvement.
I'm looking forward to your response or suggestions. Thanks again!
i am having problem too with new battery original samsung ( made in japan, finished in korea) previously i use samsung battery made in china, finished in korea. charged it over night with power off. it only last 13hrs. my wife phone can last 30hrs.
i've used batterymix to check the battery usage graph, the usage graph drop very fast compare to my wife phone. i'll post some screen capture of the graphs.
another issue is i used once wifi sharing. after turning switching the wifi sharing off, the wifi sharing service always at the background even after many reboot. how to turn that off??
You might need a new battery. Any rechargeable battery has a finite charging cycle. Just a suggestion.
Hi, all! I just noticed that the battery drains still even during deep sleep mode. After 3 hours or so (during sleep mode according to CPU Spy), the battery went down to 92%. It drains even faster when the phone is in use, especially when Wifi and Bluetooth are on, maybe 2-5% drain in 1 hour.
Maybe there's something wrong with the battery?? It's still a new battery and I can see some improvement each day though, but that's because I use it less each day. Before the battery can only last for 8-10 hours, then it increased to 12 hours, and then to 16-17 hours. BetterBatteryStats' current estimate to empty is 24 hours as of today, but that's because I only used the phone today for only a couple of hours, with 20 minutes Wifi and Bluetooth ON and most of the time, it's on deep sleep mode according to CPU Spy.
What do I do with the results from the Partial Wakelocks? Do I have to disable those apps?? The Kernel Wakelocks didn't show any reference apps running. The screenshots for the Partial and Kernel Wakelocks that were taken a few hours earlier still show the same results after 3 hours.

That would be really bad luck. I got my Note via preorder in Germany at the first day it was sold and since then I charged it everyday, sometimes even twice and there is no difference to the first day. If I get told by Samsung after 6month of normal usage the battery is dead that would be the last Samsung device I bought and I use a lot of Samsung stuff.
@ebichan24
Your last screenshots show between 9:35 and 13:35 5% of battery drain. That's not really a good value but ways lower than before. Did you delete some Apps or what did you change?
And since when occurred this issue? Did you install new Apps before this happened?
On my Note I had this issue sometimes without any changes but it was gone after a reboot.

Agreed with Kanalcommander.... try a reboot in the first instance.
Others have also noted that it takes a few refresh cycles before the phone more accurately reports battery use. Perhaps what you are reporting is because the phone and battery are new (new ROM or Kernel loaded?)
What I have done in the past is to reboot into CWM recovery then clear the battery stats (in the Advanced menu option) Recharge the battery to 100% until it says to remove charger and then use normally until battery down to around 20%, then recharge the battery to 100% again. Do this over a few days and that may help.
thanks, it is new battery two days old.

I was having similar problems with my new note and finishing full charge in 12 hrs but fixed some things and my last charge gave me 2d6hr seriously..few things i did were stop using live wallpapers! Get badass battery to thoroughly monitor stats and then use zdbox to extend life even much eg. I put phone to auto flymode using that app when its sleeping time rest i am more than satisfied even if on GB LC1 fw..waiting for official premium suite for ics since i recently upgraded from sgs2 using ics i miss that smoothness and much better bat life.. Let me know if can be helpful.. Good luck

That's what I'm currently doing right now, well, actually, what I do is I discharge the battery until it reaches 0% and turns the phone off. And then I charge the phone for 3 hours while it's switched off, I turn it back on again to check if the battery is fully charged and then I unplug it from the charger.
@Kanalcommander
**Did you delete some Apps or what did you change?
I haven't deleted any apps yet since I don't know which app/s to delete. Most of the apps I downloaded in Note were the same apps that I used in my iPhone4 and Samsung phone before.
**And since when occurred this issue?
This issue occurred since the first day I bought the phone, which was a couple of weeks ago. How long does it take to condition a new battery and new phone?? I'm sorry if I have to ask this question, it's just because I never really experienced this problem with my previous smartphones.
**Did you install new Apps before this happened? On my Note I had this issue sometimes without any changes but it was gone after a reboot.
I only installed recently CPU Spy and BetterBatteryStats and that's it. The drain of 5% from 9:35 to 13:35, the phone's just on deep sleep mode. And then from 13:35 to 23:44, it went from 92% to 74% while the phone is on deep sleep mode at 90% according to CPU Spy. That's 18% battery drain. It's just an unacceptable number for me. I tried rebooting the phone already, but every time I do so, just a few minutes after I turned the phone ON, there's already a 1% drain in the battery.
Also, does the battery really drain faster when the Wifi is ON? I've read in other threads that there might be some problem with the recent OS update that Samsung needs to address. Is this true?? Because as you can see on the screenshot below, the battery was still at 74% by 23:44 and then after I turned ON the Wifi and used it until 01:26, the battery went down to 54%. That's already a 20% battery drain in just less than 2 hours. I was only browsing through the Android Store and Skype.
Calibrate your battery in case you flashed any roms and for first usage I got my battery to 0% 3 times then everything is running great for example its at 47% now its 22 now and I have had it off charge since 7 morning..... i have wifi gps and 3g always on and use music player bluetooth and made some calls

My battery (also only a week old) drains quickly too. Can anyone tell me if widgets draw a lot of current? And then is it only the ones on the visible screen or do all widgets draw juice all the time?
I will ask such thing, did you guys check the battery expiration day ? Mostly sibce you got your phone almost a yeae after it was announced you nay get a bad battery, as for widgets the ones that are always active and asking for informatiom. Like location or weather over the internet yes they do eat your battery kinda fast.

Recurring battery drain? - Caused by memory of using app to drain battery?
Hello!
I used a battery drain app when charge left was 30% to accelerate drain to "die out" stage. After I completed the calibration process for unrooted phone as suggested in various sites (charge fully, switch off and charge etc.) I started using it from a 100% stage.
This afternoon when the battery showed 30% I saw in BMW the current flow was in -10ma to -15ma and it started spiking to hundreds. There was no change in settings or usage. From the 30% level it dropped to 10% in an hour and I had to charge again.
Was puzzled why the battery which was dropping around 0.5%/hour in standby earlier to the 30% level suddenly went down hill. My first guess was it was possible some file in the system remembered the previous usage history and replayed it out.
Any suggestions? Anyone faced this before? Everyone says LiOn batteries dont have memory so if anything it has to be the phone.
Thanks!
I just bought my Z3C a couple of days ago. First thing I did was charge it fully and then I started using it. It went from 100 to 0% in about 21 hours. During that time a SIM card was inserted only during the last couple of hours, but I did use the phone fairly often. The attached thumbnails show the details.
I did notice that it almost loses no charge in standby. But today I noticed an increased decline during screen on time after standby time. See last screenshot attached.
I expected more from this battery based on reviews and Sony's claims. Is this normal or is my battery faulty? While some here report similar numbers, others seems to get a lot more out of their batteries.

You shouldn't expect more from this battery based on reviews, you should just look at what some people got out of their phones.
Give the phone some time to settle in. And don't forget that it's almost summer for us now, more sun means using the screen at a higher brightness so that will also have some impact on your battery life.
Look what kind of useless apps are running in the background and stop them and don't worry about the estimate, it really doesn't mean much. Right now my estimate is 9 days, because I barely touched my phone.
I really don't believe in such a thing as faulty battery. Charge your phone, restart it and see how it reacts then.
Is Stamina mode enabled? If not, then what you have is typical. Getting a full day out of one charge is about all you can expect from a smartphone without some form of battery saving measures enabled.

I'd indeed like to hear from people whether or not they get comparable performance. Do you? I'll keep an eye on my battery during the next few days. So you think this is not abnormal?

Here are my results:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59933232&postcount=48
At the moment I have 3d 10h battery life and still 40% left. Tomorrow after work @ 12 our time I'll charge my phone again, so that's almost 5 days.
(But that's with a lot of idle time)
(Vergeet geen apps te freezen en je telefoon te restarten)
With moderate usage, you should generally expect just about 2 full days of battery life from this phone. And that is with Stamina mode enabled to help the phone sleep when the screen is off. However, this is not accounting for any extreme measures some people take to extend their battery life (e.g. disabling background data/sync). Once you remove these features, you're no longer using the smartphone as it was intended, so it's not a fair comparison.
I can easily get 2 days out of my Z3C before I think about charging it. And I've never used Stamina Mode.
I guess I could install some app to monitor battery usage and stats but I'm not that bothered tbh.
We all manage a variation on the smartphone thing, in terms of data, wifi, gaming, emails, browsing, texts, calls, etc, and its slightly different, in terms of use, from one user to another.
I'd echo the sentiments of another user who said give your battery time to settle in. Give it a full charge, discharge cycle a couple of times, and don't worry too much about it!
Peace.
Thanks for your feedback, guys. I'm currently fully charging and discharging my battery. Several cycles complete.
The best result I've gotten so far is a little under two days with moderate usage and thorough measures to increase battery life. I turn on airplane mode when I go to sleep. Stamina mode is also enabled, but only the reduced performance part. I'm also using 2battery, which turns off WiFi and data when phone is in standby, and turns them back on briefly every 15 minutes. (While I agree that turning off data connections defeats the purpose of a smartphone, I also believe that there is no need for a constant connection when I'm not using my phone. 2battery achieves that. Although I must say it doesn't seem to kick in a lot on lollipop.)
So despite these measures my battery seems weak compared to yours. Anyway, I'll be taking your advice and I'll give it some more time.

I have like never used Stamina mode, try out these apps:

You need to be rooted tho (Which shouldn't be a problem)
Are you using GPS or is it always on?
Your battery is fine. You probably lost some standby life when you put a SIM in it, as that would cause your cell radios to begin seeking your carrier's towers.
Do activate Stamina mode if you haven't already done so.

Thanks for the pointers! I have Better Battery Stats, and will give the other two a go. Sounds like DS Battery Saver goes beyond 2Battery, which just manages data and wifi. It can also kill apps, but I suppose you use Greenify for that?
I am indeed rooted. GPS is always on as far as I know. Haven't really paid attention to it. Why do you ask? Does that consume a lot of power?

Well yeah of course GPS uses a lot, especially when you don't use it, it's just wasted energy so to speak.
Greenify lets apps go to sleep earlier/faster so that they can cause less wakelocks.
With Greenify and DS BS I don't need Stamina mode and many of us are even wondering if Stamina is working most of the times, these two apps I'm certain that they work.

Well, I've been keeping an eye on it for the past week, and I seem to be losing next to no charge when screen is off. My phone is in deep sleep over 75% of the time. (According to Better Battery Stats)
I do seem to be losing 1% charge for every 3 minutes or so while my screen is on. Is that normal? We're not talking gaming or anything demanding, just some browsing and messaging.

I think the best way to measure if it's correct or not, to for example put some movies on your phone and let them play constantly, see how long your phone can manage.
You should get at least 6 hours of on screen time using that method
It's too late to say this, but after getting a new battery/phone you should always drain it fully and then fully charge the battery so that the battery has a proper charge (it saves a lot of battery capacity and battery life)

Good that it's too late, because it's incorrect. This suggestion dates back to the days of NiCd batteries which had "memory effect". Li-Ion batteries found in modern devices for at least the last several years and definitely since the beginning of Android don't have this effect, but have something else - when you drain the battery completely, you cause damage to the battery cells, and it can withstand only a few of these full-draining cycles before losing significant part of its charge capacity. This is why both laptops and phones have protective measures to turn off the phone completely before the battery reaches a dangerous drained state. And as the batteries go bad and their "low percentage" scale becomes unreliable (not able to sustain operation currents with low charge), these protective mechanisms can fire too late - which in turn can cause storage corruption to occur, if the power is lost gradually and not abruptly during operation.
To another poster that doesn't believe in faulty batteries - he better should. Batteries go bad with time and charge-discharge cycles, they're harmed by complete discharge, and can go bad in several other ways. However, I wouldn't expect a battery to start its life damaged - quality control of the manufacturer should prevent this.
My results for reference - I have ~2-3 hours a day SOT, 1-2 hours tethering, have several phone calls, messages and mails - and the phone is usually upwards of %50 at the evening. I have to run it through ~4 hours navigation to reduce it to sub-20% towards the end of the day, and actually see no reason why a smartphone should hold any longer - it's routinely recharged every night. The main problem for smartphones, to me, is not surviving till the end of the day.

Thank you for sharing, but that advice is about as outdated and useless as changing your car's oil every 3000 miles. Batteries simply don't work that way anymore and some studies show that battery life is actually reduced when you perform full charge cycles instead of shorter recharges throughout the day.
Edit: looks like someone else best me to it :-/

Well, thanks for showing me something new. However, this is a very different effect from NiCD. While in NiCD this effect would prevent the battery from taking a full charge when repeatedly not discharged fully, in the research you've showed there are 2 very important points:
1. What matters is not the discharge, but rather a charge. Charging not fully is a way to trigger this effect. On the other hand, discharging partially (like in NiCD) doesn't trigger it. This point makes the info, while indeed interesting by itself, irrelevant to the current discussion, and keeps your previous suggestion wrong and bad for the battery.
2. If kept charging a bit longer - the battery would still charge fully, though it would take a different amount of time from the expected. For night time charging, when the phone is connected to the charger for several hours more than it's needed to actually regain the charge, I'd guess that most of the time it does the job of filling the battery properly even after an incomplete charging cycle.
[edit]
After reading it again - actually there is a third point that makes your suggestion even much worse than I thought it is:
This memory effect that you've pointed to is triggered by having an incomplete charge followed by a complete discharge. That means, incomplete charge with incomplete discharge don't cause it - a complete discharge is required. And when you receive a new phone, the battery isn't fully charged - so if someone goes by your suggestion:
nzzane said:

He would actually be triggering the memory effect you've linked to, on its bad side!
And just for reference, here is a recent article from 2015 that is far less technical, but does a great job of explaining battery behavior in practical terms that average people can understand:
http://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/expert-advice-on-how-to-avoid-destroying-your-phones-battery/
Hello, I hope all of you are well and I can get a reply or suggestion from you guys for this.
I have a new P20Pro. Bought it on the end of October.
The battery life is absolutely great with almost two full days of usage.
The issue I got is this.
When I am using my phone and it comes on the last 10% of battery it staets droping by 2-3% immediately. So it will go from 10 to 7 and then 4 and then 2 and immediately shut down.
The whole thing would happen to 3-4 mins in total.
When it gets to 2-3% it says it will shut down in 30secs and never goes to the last 1% or 0%. The other thing that bothers me, connected with what I said before, is that when I connect it to the charger when it turns off completetly, usually starts charging from 2-3%, almost never starting from 0. Today for example turned down when it was 4% and started charging from 12%>
I have tried almost everything, recalibrating the battery, doing the charging cycle correctly, wiping the cache and factory resetting it and also chenging the settings but nothing seems to be working.
Any ideas please ?
What you describe is usually a battery problem on older phones and a new battery remedies that. Mine us also in a bit of hurry ti switch off below 15% so I make sure to keep my juice always relatively high. I might take it for replacement of battery in a few months to have a new one after 500-600 cycles [emoji4]

Mine starts shutting down at 6% I think! It's caught me out a few times, thinking I had at least another 20 minutes.
I can't complain about the battery life though so no big deal really. Conversely when I unplug from a full night's charge it can stay at 100% for ages whilst using it.
I'm guessing either calibration is a bit off or EMUI is really going the extra mile to protect your battery from being damaged by draining too low.
almost 2 full days usage?
man I barely get one day, the battery is being drained quite quick
I just switched from OnePlus 5T to P20 Pro, and the battery life of the first is way ahead (and recharges much faster)
maybe there's a problem with my p20pro?

Hi!
Follow the below steps.
Phone manager>Do optimise>tap on battery icon>Optimise battery usage. And dont let any apps to run in background. Using auto start manager you can control the apps which are running in the background.
and please post the battery usage details and check which app is consuming more battery & kill the apps which are consuming more battery
Hopefully it would help.

Hi Thanks for your help
I will definitely do it and will keep yous updated
Meanwhile, let me bring something else: My phone doesn't supercharge. Even when I use the original cable + charger (and plugged straight into the wall) it doesn't fast charge. Doesn't display that it is being supercharged or something and it will take about 3 hours to finish charging.
This is a brand new phone which I got last week.
I used to have an OnePlus 5T which recharges pretty quick but this P20 Pro, although it is a beautiful phone, charges like my old Moto X.
Anything else I need to setup in order to enable supercharge?

Download Ampere from the app store and see what the charging rate is.
When almost empty I get a rate of 4200mA ish.
The more it charges the lower the charging rate.

When I use the original chargers from Huawei, it won't get past 1800mA
Then I went to visit a friend who got a Mate 20 Lite, he has a fast charger and I tested his in my p20pro and it went to ~2300mA (and then it displays in my phone "fast charge"). However, if we use on his phone, it will go more than 3500mA
The supercharger won't come by default in the box? I'm asking because when I got at home I checked the output of my recharger and it shows 4.5-5v -> 2A, it seems it isn't the fast/super charger
Hi there! What you have described with the battery percentage going to 3% and then immediately to 0% is an issue on ALL Huawei phones. I had previously owned a P10 LITE, a Honor 7C, Huawei P20 PRO and Mate 20 Pro. They all do this. I suspect it has something to do with the reserved battery percentage . It shuts down quickly so that it can keep 2 % and not drain completly. I do not know the benefit of this but all phones do it, however Huawei's software implementation is so poor that it actually displays wrong percentages. It has nothing to do with the battery being old. They do it straight out of the box and ufortunately do not know of any solution to this.
Just an update:
I had a chat with the store which sent me the phone and then they sent me the correct charger with supercharge.
Now it works well and on Ampere it shows 4.5A

Hello!
I've been experiencing worse battery life on my Nokia 8 since Pie upgrade, I haven't installed any apps nor services...
Note that the battery improved -but not as good as Oreo- after calibration using an app...
Are you experiencing the sane issue? Or should I further investigate?
Thank you..
yes
Same here. I got 12 hours screen on time once on oreo but now, it is a dream. Battery drains fastly due to background services. App restriction doesn't work as well as oreo's restriction. So, this situation causes battery draining. Also there is a weird thing i've faced, battery drains quickly from %100 to %95. I am waiting for Maintenance Release impatiently.
is battery life on oreo really that good?
I'm using pie since day 1 and never got more than 7h sot and 1.5 days.
My battery life is dire since pie, I was impressed with the battery in the 8 until this update, I cant even make a day without having to charge. When I say day I mean from 7am to 10pm as its left charging overnight.
Before pie I could quite happily last 2 days between charges, I'm not a heavy user, initially I thought I must be using the phone more. But I'm actually using it less just so it makes it to the end of the day!
Somehow it's worse again today, dead by 4:30!
Basically just checked phone to see the time, around 10 minutes of faffing in the morning, rebooted it before charging last night incase sonething was using battery. Madness!
For me, I've given my phone a factory reset before I installed the Beta labs/initial final(V5.110, December 2018-January 2019) build. Despite that, I did notice my battery life taking a hit when running this iteration of Pie. I was at most getting not more than 5 hours of SoT on average. And I do use my phone a lot throughout the day, the camera, web browsing, videos and social media. Meanwhile on Oreo, I can get 6 hours on average no problem. Sometimes even 7 hours if I'm lucky.
After updating to V5.140(February 2019) with Adaptive Battery brought in, I seem to have gotten back my average SoC just like when my phone was running Oreo. Running 5-6 hours on average. I'm not sure if Adaptive Battery has anything to do with this since I did notice the improvement immediately. I also disabled some of the Evenwell crap before updating to V5.140, so that may or may not have an effect.
If apps restricted didnt work then try manually restrict each app go to ur up hold it then info Then choose battery from there change background restriction
Ifaced this problem in beta when iwas sleep and wake up morning my battery was almost below 20 percent but i manually restrict all apps and its working 100 percent ?
Sorry to heat that. Have you tried installing some apps like better battery stats to see what exactly is saying up your battery? If your phone is rooted consider installing ForceDoze from f-droid and maybe WakeBlock to regulate some wakelocks that may be the cause of your terrible battery life. I have been able to get great battery life using the latest put version. See screenshot below from a few days ago.
I know that this is old thread but i have solution which i use with my nokia. change default launcher to another lightweight. This works and my battery feel better.
I should of updated, battery went back to normal after newer updates.
However, biggest thing for me, using DNS666 Ad blocker has seemingly doubled my battery life, might be a combination of just gotten bored of the phone or blocking all the ad's saves battery, or a bit of both, its also made the phone feel a lot more responsive overall, i'm using Squarehome as my launcher so maybe that was affecting the battery before?
Maybe which update can fix battery life? I rooted my phone and can't download latest update.
Hi I noticed that my watch battery drains so fast. I charged it at noon and finished the charging at around 1 PM and after 4 hrs of not even using it much, it's down to 65%.
I would like to return the watch if the battery drains like this so fast. Any advice?
This was my fear about buying the watch. My Galaxy Watch lasts about 6 days on a charge. Try factory resetting it, maybe. Something might be stuck running.

How long have you had it? There is a period where you are playing with it more (without realizing it) and it also takes the battery several charge cycles to balance out the battery and measurement.
To troubleshoot:
Go into the Galaxy Watch app on the phone and look and see what is draining your battery. If it's a watchface, change it to test. If you don't notice anything unusual, factory reset the watch and do NOT restore the backup. Run it for some time in a "vanilla" format (no apps / watchfaces / no modified settings). If it STILL drains .. you might have an issue.
I have the 45mm LTE SM-R845U. Have LTE on, WiFi on, Bluetooth on and connected to my Note 10+. Currently 1 day 14 hours 14 min on battery and setting at 34% battery available running in standard power mode.

Thanks Wattsja! I'll do it today.
I'm actually playing around with "I'm Alive" for a true AOD. I'm still analyzing, but my current burn is @4% an hour with a constantly visible second hand (the non-continuous quartz motion). That's a 45% OPR, for the nerds (vs. Samsung limitation of 15% in dim mode).
I have a much more involved work around that is potentially a little better, as I suspect an active display looking for touches and gestures is a significant battery drain in this scenario. If I can get the burn down to 3% per hour, I might just keep this watch
I agree pretty much what others are saying here. Batteries need time to settle, and there's a lot more interaction with your new toy and lots of stuff updating and installing, far more than you think. It's exactly the same with phones.
So give it a few days and you will see it improve to your expectations.
.
I experienced intensive battery drain. Bluetooth seemed to be in a faulty status. Watch battery duration was less than one day (SM-R800 46mm). Solution was as simple as unpairing the watch and re-pairing. No need to reset.
In a previous occasion battery drain was simply due to Wi-Fi on.
