Not every Note 8 gets updated at the same time. Maybe the update for your model/country hasn't been released yet. You can check at Sammobile.com

The update is pretty good actually..i have seen some users saying that it's terrible...but in my opinion
The super slow mo is great TBH....i know there is no auto or manual mode....all you have to do is to tap on record button and it'll start recording and after 8 seconds it'll automatically stop the recording and save it(the slow mo will be recorded between these seconds)... it's good considering the fact that it was one of the most highlighted feature of galaxy S9 and here we're enjoying 90 percent of that feature.
Trust me....wait for an awesome moment and then tap the record button..and you'll get the best result..
AR emojis are obsolete tho..?
My emoji maker keeps crashing when I touch "Create my emoji". I am on Indian firmware, updated to September security patch, non rooted. Am I missing something?

I want to take it but won't chance losing hotspot mod.

You're kind of reading it wrong it's android 8.0 and the Samsung Experience is 9.0 which is formerly Touchwiz just renamed.. Updating could cause you to lose your hotspot for sure!

Package disabler from the play store can disable the nagging but it's not free. Check your private messages though.

Another software update just appeared for the SM-T800. It is 309.91 MB.
I will provide more info after it is installed.

Got it couple of days ago on SM-T805. The most important bit for me was that it fixed the HD playback of Netflix which was broken in the Lollipop update.

Looks like a kernel and SE update in preparation for marshmallow.
We had the same update right before Lollipop ? as well.

I updated my T800 to OJ1 and lost root. I then re-flashed CF-Autoroot and got my root back!!!!!
I found some app for TV Remote control...was that on my tablet BEFORE this update? I don't remember it being there, but then I'm sooooo....old.

Looks like Smart Manager is added after the update. And stagefright is fixed in this update.

That's why my next device won't be Samsung they just make a great phone or tablet got lots of money on it and then just leave it in a corner with no love hope they won't do it with this tablet ?
I just got my update and all seems quite smooth except I just loaded ComicRack and it now takes forever when changing the page. Use to be much quicker! Not sure why this would be. I've tried restarting and clearing the cache and also un-mounting my SD card. Hmm...

Don't feel bad, I can't watch TCM (Turner Classic Movies) either. That app has NEVER worked since Lollipop came along....it sux anyway.

Dark mode still not working for me, only difference i saw is when clicking home button there Google assistant type colours.
The error showed was for a couple of sec else everything worked smooth.
Im going to hard reset my device, then check if there's still any problems.

Try checking for updates with SIM card installed. Keep both mobile data and Wi-Fi on.

so for now im still on 8.1 with a security patch of dec 1 ... i see in another thread that some are able to flash with the new 9 update ... so lets hear it what version are you running and if u upgraded please explain your procedure for doing so.
I'm very happy after 3 months with spectrum.
When I 1st got the phone Wi-Fi calling wasn't yet Enabled so definitely wait until after an update to update!
I'm not upgrading to pie probably because call recording in pie is disabled

Procedure for upgrading is the same no matter what carrier. Your options are:
1. If you are currently on N960USQU1ARL1, then download the 1ARL1 to 1CSAA OTA zip from firmware.science and flash it in Recovery.
2. Download the 1CSAA full firmware file from Venom's thread and flash it in ODIN
3. Wait for Spectrum to push the OTA officially.
I have the Pie update and went through and did exactly what Mr. Orange said, in fact he helped me through the whole process. Running CSAA and waiting to see what Spectrum decides to do with the update. More than likely they will go with CSAA as well if not it will be CSAB. 100% will be same firmware that Verizon is going to release since we run on their network

It was released last night. Should be able to get the OTA now.
I have the ATT VERSION and it just finished installing. The camera app works great. I try the rest out in morning and post. Post your thoughts of it.

Post some screenshots! How's it feel?
I got it last night as well. It feels different, runs smooth. I need more time to tell if battery is better. I'm mixed on the new UI...but it will grow on me. I haven't taken any pics with it yet...but the app looks different so I am sure there are changes. I love having system wide dark mode now. Overall it is an improvement from a short test drive.

Has anyone with AT&T who did the unlock via the 9008 mode try this update? Right now my update fails, logcat shows a CRC error because boot_a was modified. I assume if I wanted to apply this update I'd need to restore boot_a and laf_a to the original copy. Then update, then unlock again via 9008 mode. Any issues with the unlock method and Android 10?
