I miss the easy sync method of it I guess the workaround is to use Windows Media Player?.
Pleas delete my phone didn't automatically install Windows Phone Application.
You should be able to use Zune outside of windows 8.
If you have windows 8, the sync should happen automatically.
Not possible as of now. I really miss it since it was so convenient for music. Drag and drop is nice and all but for managing music it's just crappy.
The only decent solution for W7 is the media player and for W8 the WP8 Sync app from the store.
The desktop tools are just really really bad.

No, the windows 8 store.
I'm not finding it in Windows 8 store or Windows Phone website.

You need the windows 8 store not the nokia store.
On device? I have Windows 8 on the pc and cannot find it in the store. I am not picking up my Nokia 920 until next week but I would like to know where in heck this sync app is located. Read me: searched in Windows 8 store on pc; " no match for WP 8 Sync", searched apps on Windows Phone website; brings up some unrelated app. Can anybody post a link? Thanks in advance.
P.S. Did a search from home page. The app in Windows Store is simply called Windows Phone in case anybody else was as confused as I was.
Follow this link. If you view it on a windows 8 pc than you should be able to download it, not too sure since I got mine directly from the store and had no trouble finding it.

Search for Windows Phone. there is also a desktop app you can get from windowsphone.com.
I just bought the chromecast last night, it updated itself.
I see that there only like 5 apps that work with it through
the Chromecast android app.
Are there other apps (developer or google) that can be sideloaded?
-if so, where can i get them?
Do i have to be rooted and/or use flashcast?
I figured there would be a way to play
games through it or have full app support
through android or Chrome Browser.
(Im not a complete n00b with android, ive been in the
android community since the OG Droid- Fascinate- Droid3-
Galaxy nexus, so i should have a grasp at some technical
stuff.)
Thanks in advance!
You cannot use flashcast because you had to have one the original(?) firmware version because it had a vulnerable bootloader. You would have had to root and then block all OTA updates. RemoteCast (Beta) is an alternate app.
need help now ...

Thanks for the info!
Im also having a problem...
So i got it working on my phone no prblem.
My laptop on the other hand, idk.
I installed the windows app and it finds it,
but Chrome Browswer blocks the Extension
and says my computer is not supported...
Its windows 7 64-bit... chrome is updated,
idk whats going on.
EDIT: Its working after the computer did Windows updates... weird but true.
Thanks anyways haha
So what's the point of remote cast? It's the same thing as chrome cast app.... So it seems.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
No no - Remote Cast is a lightweight remote control only for whatever you're casting.
Still in beta, needs to support more apps but very cool for what it is.
Hello,
I have a smartphone S6 and a Tab S2, on my S6 I always use the S Health app because I like it a lot. But I cannot find and install the S Health app on my tablet, is it available? Is there a solution for this?
Thanks in advance!
It's hosted on APK Mirror: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsu...lth/s-health-4-5-1-0011-android-apk-download/
Just tried it out and it takes a little bit of work to get past the first screen (I had to hit 'tab' on a BT keyboard to get past it because you can't actually see the buttons), but after that it worked smoothly. It syncs with your S Health data once you hop into the Settings portion of the app. Good luck.
I get a 'no sim detected error' on my Nexus 7
Any news
S health from play store, not compatible with my Huawei media pad m3 and no download. From apk mirror, installs fine, won't run, no sim card inserted. Any idea how to get it working?
Up! Any solution for use samsung health without sim card?
Dear feiends
As i remeber from Note 3 and 4 times,
SNote had windows application which was syncing from device to cloud.
Cureently i use note 8,
SNote is just polished yesterday with better text recognation
How ever i wish i could have seen all notes that i took from windows computer. Like "one note"
Any recommendations?
I can only think of one eventually syncing SNote with Evernote (so that you can view Evernote on a PC like OneNote)
https://support.samsungcloud.com/#/sync
Samsung's Cloud solution is becoming limited like Apple's iCloud (in my opinion).
You can give this a try:

Hello friend,
thanks so much.
I dowloaded link you gave, notes application was installed to windows, how ever, when I was trying to login, it warned me to update the app to continue login.
So now on thanks, windows 10 application store, do not need online account , to update, existing apps.
and so when I clicked update, note app was updated to latest, was able to manage to login.
The interesting thing,
my trash is empty in Snotes in phone.
how ever,
online.
I had reach even 2015 notes.. somehow, from note 3 , note 4 times..
it was little suprising.
thanks so much @Anonymously_Unknown
As some of you know, Samsung not only stopped supporting Samsung VR, they actually sabotaged the app totally by not allowing new installs to open.
Essentially there is a user agreement that you have to agree to but it requires an “internet connection” to accept but this is the part which was sabotaged.
I believe that Samsung took the verification server offline so the app always thinks you are not connected.
I need someone to look into how that verification happens and how it can be circumvented.
As a backup, if anyone knows a SPECIFIC version of Samsung VR app which does not have this verification process (sideloaded) please post the version.
UP i need too please somebody help
anyone who has a samsung vr app backup via titanium backup please share
Only the old ones work without Internet connection. The last working one is Samsung VR 1.59.4.
Check here: android-apk.org/com.samsung.vrvideo/
It also works with the Oculus Go.
Can anyone test this with an Oculus Quest 2 ?
this is backup from titaniumbackup

Made a little progress....
I was playing around trying to get Gear VR to work on my new Galaxy S20 plus, I tried installing Occulus from the app store but when I plugged the phone into the GearVR nothing would happen, so I Extracted all the Occulus and GearVR apps from my old S9 into APK's and then sideloaded them onto my S20, and now when I plug it in, it tries to load the setup program but it comes up with an error saying I have no network connection.... is there any way around this?
hi,
i found workaround
1. uninstall Gear VR SetupWizard ( 3.2.03.9 )
2. install version ( 3.0.21 ) from aptoide : https://gear-vr-setupwizard.pl.aptoide.com/app
3. run setup, configure, upgrade to newest version
and it works

Hi. We have tried to put the 3.0.21 version on and it has installed on phone but don't know how to get it to link with the Gear VR (SMR325) . Anyone with suggestions?
Hi guys, does any one have the full package of apps - I also got a S20 and wanted to try with my old Gear VR R325 headset - it works finr with my Galaxy Note 9 but is not rooted so cant extract the APK's.

Just tried. It doesn't work. It installs fine, opens fine (no messages), shows that gridded floor pattern (of very old versions of Samsung VR) but nothing else happens (no buttons to click on, no nothing. Just void.
Did you find a way to make Samsung VR to work on Quest 2 ?

I have the APK for version 2.12.7 and it works fine in my Gear VR with Samsung Galaxy S7 (yes, the phone still works too).
I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to do, but it's not only the verification server they shut down. The whole online video server was shut down. So, I do see a "No internet connection" message, but I'm still able to click the other buttons and explore my local media folders using this app, which is exactly what I want to do.
However I was not able to port this version (or any other APK I found) to my Quest 2. The closest I got was to install an Oculus Go APK on the Quest 2, but when I open the app and the "No internet connection" message appears, my Quest 2 controllers are not recognized, so I can't click anywhere to browse my folders. Is that your issue too?
Anyways, I'm in desperate need of a Samsung VR APK that works with Quest/Quest 2. Please let me know if you come across this APK.
I have the same problem with my new Galaxy S10+ now. I cannot accept the terms and conditions in Samsung VR because it says "no internet connection". I tried with SIM and wireless also, but no luck.
I have a Galaxy S9+ too, there i accepted Samsung VR terms and conditions long before Samsung switched off the verification server. So on the S9+ i can still use Samsung VR.
Even tho I noticed in the recent months that on the S9+ it also says "no internet connection", but probably in the appdata folder is a flag or file which they check if you accepted their ToS. If thats not there you cannot go forward to the main menu of Samsung VR.
So I see only one way and this would be you need a Titanium Backup from the Samsung VR app where the ToS are already accepted. Then you also would need to root the new phone that you can install Samsung VR with app data right?
Or is there any way to inject appdata of Samsung VR to your new phone without having root access?
Someone tried that if that even works?

Can confirm that restoring app+data won't work.... at least the backup I found in this thread not.
Restored app+data in Titanium backup and still asks to accept terms with no internet connection..
Best regards,
Niels
I just fixed it, the app checks a txt file in the root Android\data\com.samsung.vrvideo folder. I made a zip file of that folder from my Galaxy S9+, it works at the S10+ too. Just copy that folder with the subfolders and the file inside to "Android\data\"
This folder is avaiable even without root. Even tho I dont see any content in that folder with the normal file manager on the phone, but once you plug your Galaxy to a regular PC you can access that Android/data folder.
So when you unzip it, the path to the file should look like this:
Android\data\com.samsung.vrvideo\files inside that folder 2 files: "VR360Video_3_00_0_EULA_agreed.txt" and "MVRI.txt"
My Samsung VR App now opens without that EULA message and works in offline mode.
Let me know if its working!

Great! Yeah I was surprised too, that no one else found it out before. I almost deleted it while resetting my S9+ but then I checked that Android/data folder lol...
I must be missing something here. Aside from the Android\data\com.samsung.vrvideo\files directory and associated files, what other apk's should be installed? I've installed the oculus app from the Play store and it still does not launch when I place my S21 into the Gear VR headset.
The play store oculus app does not work with gearvr. It has to be installed by the gearvr setup app.
can someone explain/walk me through the process like i'm 5. Just pulled out my gear vr for the first time in a year and am trying to get it to work with my old s9+ that had to be factory reset.
