I have the N9600 dual sim (snap dragon) but it seems that the N960F version has quicker updates than the N9600. I'm still on arh2 while h6 is out for the F version
I never had this version before , can some one please advise on this.
Here with N9600 and with patch 1 august rom ... arh2
I think I goofed... in my hase to get a note 9 , I purchased the N9600 dual sim snapdragon version. I always had the exynos versions before an got faster upgrades by flashing via Odin. Now I've been stuck at H2 Aug update while N960F version has 2 September updates H6 and I9.
So as a warning to everyone; STICK TO THE EXYNOS VERSION for faster updates.
I have exynos version but I prefer the better battery life, no lagging gpu, and radio FM over the fastest updates.

Dear admin,
My cousin gifted me with galaxy note 8 SM-N950U1. Now I'm using that in India. because of US model, I can't use Samsung Pay ( Indian cards are not supported ) and Volte ( no option to enable Volte ) in India. My model number and firmware details are as below.

Knox API level 25
TIMA 3.3.0

My question is can I flash Indian firmware to use Volte and Samsung Pay Indian version.? If so, kindly provide the link. some people are saying flashing Indian firmware on US phone will hard brick the phone because Indian phones are bundled with Exynos and my phone is having Snapdragon processor. Please help me with a solution. Thanks in advance.
Nope. Indian models are N950F. You can't cross flash.
Edit, in your last paragraph you say you already got your answer. Not sure why you asked again, then. No matter how many times you ask, the answer will always be the same.
So, I'm still running Beta 2 of Pie on my Note 8 and have heard of people already getting stable Pie on Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile (N950U) which is the model of my phone but nothing for US International Phones. Should I just wait for a T-Mobile Firmware of Pie as that is the firmware my phone originally came with or flash the released Sprint Update and deal with the bloatware of that build despite being on AT&T?
Only reason I'm on N950U1 Firmware was for the Beta and lower bloat from AT&T. I use no AT&T Apps whatsoever and more

The SM-N960F (Exynos) has unlocked bootloader.
So I'm not sure what you really want to do.
If you want to root it, check this thread:
[RECOVERY][OFFICIAL][3.6.1-x] TWRP for Galaxy Note9 Exynos
Official TWRP 3.6.1-* For Galaxy Note9 Exynos Only for exynos variants - N960F (Single SIM: Europe, Australia); N960FD (Global Dual SIM: Europe, LATAM, Brazil; Australia); N960N (South Korea) Disclaimer I am not responsible for bricked devices...

No you can't. The note 9 and the S9 are two different products. Even if you could flash you will run into complications eg screen touch issues.
You can try flashing indian s9 firmware.

Yes you can. If they are same model number and they both have the same processor chip ( Exynos or snapdragon ).

Hi all,
I was just wondering if it's possible to change my S21U firmware to Germany firmware (DBT) since OTA updates come sooner.

No, Snapdragon and Exynos FW isn't interchangeable.
Oh I didn't realise that, is there any other Exynos firmware I can flash that will get one ui 4 sooner though?
Give Samsung Smartswitch at try.
I just got OneUI 4 Beta 1 working on my XSA S21 Ultra (Exynos).
1) I had to update to the latest Android 11 firmware - AUHD.
I used Frija to download an Indian AUHD Rom - flashed it using ODIN - used Home CSC to keep my data.
2) Updates from AUHD to OneUI 4 Beta 1 ZUIC using the ADB Update.zip method.
Hope this helps!

Thank you so much. Does your cell service work well still?
5g and calls over LTE works well. I am using Telstra (Physical sim). I dont use esim. but I assume esims will not be an issue as "Service Provider Software version" still says XSA.

The OP has a Snapdragon SoC, your solution can't be applied to a Snapdragon variant.

OP has already started it's an S21U, that's a US Snapdragon device.
It's a G998B/DS Exynos bought in Australia
So your claim it's an S21U is wrong? Get back when you figure out what's going on.
S21U means s21 ultra it's an Exynos s21 ultra bruh. G998B is the model number for it

Disconnect, assumed U was the model the designation.
All good
I just successfully flashed the Indian September update! Thanks @imankareem
Will I still get OTA updates since I still have xsa CSC even though Indian firmware is installed?
