Does any have problem with Face ID after applying the screen protector?
Because I tried three from different companies and they have the same problem which is (face Id becomes dumb and can't recognise my face easily until I remove the glassy screen protector)
I've got Xiaomi Mi8 EE and no problem with Face ID with WOZINSKY tempered glass protector.
Never had a problem with FaceID with any scrren protector.
I had 5 and now i use it without - all have problems. All with holes were not working good with the face unlock. Search with whole glass without holes(only for the speaker).

Started noticing the ambient notification (when you pickup the phone the screen supposedly emit the black/white display) is gone, right after I'd installed one of those eBay tempered glass screen protector.
The cutout of the glass, I do not think it obstruct either the camera lens or anything else.
Anyone have this problem? If so, how to remedy this issue (without having me take off the protector...lol). Thx.

You will need a different screen protector - one that does not cover the sensor.
Before you do that, you can try the suggestion at this link to see if it helps

I have the same problem right after installing the tempered glass
I got a new tempered glass screen protector, however, it is covering the proximity sensor located directly to the left of the top speaker. Since it is covering the sensor, I am unable to access the dial screen during calls 9 out of 10 times unless i keep swiping my finger on top of the sensor to get it to work. I got AndroSensor to test out the sensor and it does stay at 0.0in 90% of the time. When it does work, the value returned is 2.0in. I really don't want to replace this screen protector because it is nice and love the smoothness of it but unable to use the keypad during calls is too much.
Is there a way to manually turn on the dial screen during calls? Tried swiping, pinching, you name it.
Is there a hidden setting I could try like entering *#0*# on some phones for a workaround solution?
Is there a way to modify the settings of the proximity sensor? I am rooted.
The weird thing is there is a cutout on the protector but it is on the right side... Most of the pictures I saw of tempered glass for Nexus 6 had the left side covered but right side cut out as well. What's on the right side that is more important than the proximity sensor? Did they not know? Blah sorry for rant...
Its a problem with your tempered glass, contact the company whom you bought it from. Request a defect.
Theres a tempered glass thread in the accessories section where they have the same problem depending on what tempered glass you purchased.
Thanks zephiK, I'll check out that thread!
The below mentioned fix is for brand new Nexus 6.
Did you try going to settings , accessibility , power button ends call, toggle that on and off.
After completing the above mentioned step. Reboot your phone and try making a call. I hope the issue get resolved.
I tried this step on an unrooted phone, which was recieved just yesterday.
I got this fix from some other thread.
I am running the latest a stock debloated 6.0 rom from tupac4u right now and having some issue during phone calls. For me I make or receive a call and my display will turn off even before putting the phone to my face. However, getting the screen on during a call is a bit hard to do as pressing the power button doesn't turn the screen on(sometimes have to press it 3 times to get it on). Anyway to fix this, or to disable this? Thank you
Using a screen protector? If yes, it may be blocking the proximity sensor, which is located just to the left of the top speaker grill.
In another thread I'm being told it's a bug with marshmallow. How accurate is that? And yes I am using a screen protector. I'm just not sure where the proximity sensor is so I can adjust accordingly?

I do not use shell or film and have the problem for a long time. Tried everything but nothing helps you get used to it.
Knowing isuses since 5.1 and the sensor is on the top left of the earpiece
Yeah i took a light to find where it was. I have a tempered protector. Tried to use a knife to adjust it, but broke the screen protector. Oh well I'll just skip one cup of tea this week. If I go with a regular screen protector(one of those cheap $1 ones will that still cause issues?
Yup, the oversensitive proximity sensor issue started after 5.1 arrived. I too had a tempered glass covering the proximity sensor and it was working fine when I was on 5.0/5.0.2. I had to remove the tempered glass and get a new one which doesn't cover proximity sensor to fix this problem.
Did the same thing. Got a regular screen protector right now for a cheap, until I can find a tempered model that doesn't cover the proximity sensor.
Hello people
Also, does any of you have a problem with the fingerprint reader response when using night reading (red filter mode for less eye fatigue).
By day (auto contrast set - stock) and the reader responds without problems.
However, when it gets dark and the phone starts to use night reading, the reader is often unresponsive.
Of the 4 scanned images, it usually takes only one, so I have to put my finger the same way to unlock the phone.
I use protective glass (9H 2,5D curved, tempered by Sigisi).
But I think there will be no problem, because the reader reacts with the glass without problems during the day.
Thanks for the reaction.
I guess that the night mode plus the protective glass is a bad combination
Did you set the fingerprint after applying the glass or before?
With the night reader mode it shouldn't be any problem. The phone automatically, when it detects a finger on the sensor, disables All screen filters. If you notice, when the blue light of the sensor appears, you'll notice that some colors lower it's contrast for a more precise scan. And with the glass, I have a non branded 5D glass and it works perfect. In the only situation that fails reading my finger, it's when I have my fingers wet (by the swimming pool) and wrinkled, but I think that it happens with every Fingerprint scanner. If the scanner works without the glass. The problem is the glass. If not. You want the warranty to remain valid
After aplying
Im thinking about buying this phone, but what worries me if fingerprint scanner works well with protective glass?
I'm using generic tempered glass from the start. Even registering my fingerprints with glass on. No problem so far. Just little advised,I'm using only my right thumb to unlock, and what I did is I repeatedly registered the fingerprint while I'm holding the phone so it will be more accurate.
By the way. I' also set my phone to be on reading mode at night.so far no problem with it. I'm on miui 11.3.3,stable official global rom.

Just use a glass one and it should be fine, at least for me its 100%
Has anyone gotten enrolled in fingerprint unlock with a screen protector? Changed the setting is for sensitive on the display for screen protector. Nothing works. Get almost there. Used 3 different screen protectors. At the facial works
Pixel 7 here working perfectly fine with a glass screen protector I got off of AMZN.
Pixel 7 here as well with screen protector.
Had no difference before/after the protector at all.
I used the phone for 2-3 days without the protector before I put it on, and can't really say there is any difference whatsoever in terms of sensitivity etc.
