Recommended cases thst are compatible with sim extenders? - Xiaomi Poco F1 Accessories

Anyone know of any case that can hide a sim extender used with the phone?

Are just the two SIM slots not enough? ?
If have thought the ribbon from one of these would fit inside the standard issue case - is it more bulky? If so I'm sure you could carve a channel out of it (or maybe you'd want to get a slightly bigger rubber case and set about it with a craft knife)

The extender is so that I can use a microSD card while using the SIM2 slot.

It's not the ribbon that bulges, it's the receptacle for the second SIM. It "fits", but there is a noticeable bulge. Also, I'm not that handy with a knife, sadly. :crying:

Rubber Plugs For Micro-B USB

Hello Everyone,
Does anyone know where to get rubber plugs that fit into the Micro-B USB on the bottom of the HTC HD2?
I found only for Mini-A USB

don't think there are any, thethickness of the empty spaces beside the contacts is too slim to have rubber parts slide inside, IMO...

The company that makes the ones above are currently getting the tooling, dies, and molds together for the Micro-B plugs but they are about 3-4 months away from having their first run. I was trying to find some before I get my phone to protect against moisture/dust from the day it was removed from the box.
Thank you,
Monnie
Interesting news, thanks for the update.
Oddly enough I stumbled across this via google while looking for the same thing for my Desire. Would you mind passing me the contact details of the company? If they're selling small quantities then I'll order some when they're available.
i think topi covers has what you are looking for. they sell both mini and micro usb covers. Can't tell if its type a or b though.
google topi covers to find their website.

glad to be of help..

Bumper case wont allow me to charge phone!!

Anyone have a workaround on this, I have the blue aluminum bumper seems the charger I ordered from amazon (amazonbasics) is to large for the hole, should I tr to modify the USB end or the case or what, any kind of adapter or little extensions? I dont want to lose the data transfer feature of this chord
Dremel/File out the bumper around the USB port.
As tdrussell said, you can dremel the opening wider. I believe another member did that with their case and has pictures somewhere.
I ended up just giving up on these eBay-special bumper cases. Many of them were poorly thought out and not worth the trouble.
i've got two different aluminium bumper cases from ebay and had the same problem.
what i did is separate it into two pieces. then on the bottom piece, tape up the bottom of the port area (so you dont scratch and cut away too much), then take a pair of scissors and cut the bar off the top. i'll attach a pic so can you see what i did.

then you can just remove the tape and colour the exposed metal.
Thanks for the suggestions, Since the bumper case was $17 and the Cable was 6, I went ahead and used some scissors to modify the material around the cable end. Works fine now! I would of cut the case however this cable is the only one I have come across that is effected by the case.

Looking for spare part. Digitizer connector. (?)

Hey guys!
My phone started having troubles with the touch (how unexpected right?)
Well, the thing is, when I was gonna remove the digitizer connector cable, I tried pulling the black plastic thing backwards instead of flipping it up.
Reason I did this was because I've repaired a few laptops and they had the type of connector were you pull the plastic thing back to release the connector.
The black plastic thing broke off in half so now I can't securely connect the digitizer anymore.
So, question is, can I get a replacement? I took one from another old HTC phone but it's not the correct one. (Lenght wise is correct, but not with the holes for the pins)
At 1:54 it shows the thing I'm talking about.
Youtube link (imbedded link didnt work)
Also attaches a printscreen of it for less hassle.

The black plastic piece that shows is the one I'm talking about!
Better view:
I don't even know the name of these parts so I don't even know what to search for. Please help me out guys.
Probably best way is to buy a new complete connector and remove the black plastic piece and fasten it onto the phones one.
Kind regards,
Tony
EDIT: Note sure if it's the same, but found this on ebay:

Is this the same type?
Nobody?

Mic. Same as on the bottom
ok i know this is dumb and i wish i’d read this before doing so but i accidentally inserted my sim tool (eject pin) into the top microphone hole. when i did, i heard something click and my pin went further down before i realized that it was the wrong hole. i’m worried that i destroyed the cover/mesh that makes the mic water-resistant. is it possibly broken?
If you heard the click, then yeah... No more water-resistence for you. Maybe you want to see how tings are inside the s10:

That hole said insert here?
is where the deadly laaaaayyyzzzeerrrr shoots out from the phone a-la James Bonds watch

Yeah that can happen. You need to remember that there are always consequences of inserting into the wrong hole, usually rather bad ones.
I also accidentally inserted sim card ejector to a hole on top of my note10+. Are you sure this would make the phone not water resistant?
Has anyone did the same and try to take the phone to swim?

DIY Phone Strap

Made this for the safe keeping of my 8T. I was using a Gordy's leather strap, but my 6mo puppy ate it. *facepalm*

You want a multistrand braid tether attachment.
Monofilament nylon fails with little or no warning.
I used 500lb nylon. Do you think that will work? I definitely want it strong, so looking for opinions here.

Obviously that's not able to hold 500#.
The problem is the monofilament, it's all or nothing. Multistrand usually shows signs of abrasion and impending failure.
Clear nylon is also UV sensitive and doesn't weather well in dry environments.
You want a tether preferably that has no metal rings or such that can scratch the phone. Most phone cases lack good attachment points or accommodate only ridiculously thin tethers. I want at least a 50# tensile strength. First time it gets snagged on something you'll know why...
The weakest link theory applies very much to tethers.
I wear BDU cargo pants so I just use a good case and the thigh pocket. This works well even with large phones and they don't drop out but are still easily accessible.
You'll need to put some thought and searching into this to find the best solution for you.
Thanks for the assist. This strap is mostly to get me through until my new Gordy's arrives. His straps are built like tanks.
