I've had my A6+ for about 2 month now and I'm very happy with the phone. But there is one issue that happens from time to time. The phone does not do anything internet related. It doesn't matter if it's my home WiFi or my mobile data. The phone itself shows that it's connect to the wifi but nothing works. YouTube doesn't load, neither does the play store and WhatsApp messages don't get sent. What's weird is that for example YouTube and the play store don't say that I don't have a connection, as they normally would if there is no access to the internet. They just keep loading without showing an error message of some sorts. I've tried to restart the phone a couple of times, even wiping the cache of the phone itself and of the apps. I don't know what's causing it and how to solve it. The first time it just started working again after many hours, but I don't know if it's because I did something or because it was random.
I'm thankful for every idea and answer
I've gone through this before and for me it had something to do with the Data Saver option.
When I restarted while Data Saver was on, this would happen (no internet access even when connected to WiFi or mobile data) but when I restart with the Data Saver off it would function normally. You can still use the Data Saver but just don't restart with the Data Saver on

That could be it, although I can't test it anymore. The solution that worked for me and that was given by the Samsung support was to reset the network settings and then reboot. It worked again after that

I'm having a problem with the STAMINA mode basic functionally, which is turning off the mobile data when the screen is off. It worked in the beginning but now it just doesn't do what it's supposed to.
I've tried many solutions such as resetting the Eco mode Controller, turning off anything that might keep the connection awake, freezing programs using Titanium Backup, but nothing works. Any suggestions?
Thanks
I don't think that Stamina Mode is supposed to turn off mobile data connection anyway - it only kills the apps you didn't white-list.
It doesn't turn off mobile data, but restricts every blacklisted app from using it. So if all apps are blacklisted it will be the same as turning data off cos there should be no activity.
My 2¢
Stamina Mode turns off data even if there's a white-listed app that would use it, eg Whatsapp.
I can personally confirm this: Stamina mode on, Whatsapp + Gmail white-listed=3G turns off after a few minutes of inactivity.
That shouldn't happen - the idea of whitelisted apps is that you'll still get their notifications. How can Gmail and WhatsApp receive new messages and notify you if your 3G is off?
Hang on - is this when you're connected to WiFI or not? If not, how do your whitelisted apps manage to work?
My stamina mode does not exhibit behaviors of turning off mobile data, I thought it shouldn't anyway. Whitelisted applications will be able to receive messages over mobile internet without issues for mine.
For some reason, and I'm not sure when this started but I can no longer send or receive MMS messages when connected to my wifi. Right now I know this happens at home but haven't checked other wifis. I've been googling for answers but haven't found anything real to help remedy the situation. Has anyone else had this issue? if so, how to fix?
Thanks, in advance
MTA: I've noticed that connecting to wifi my mobile data is being disconnected/turned off. Don't remember setting this in anything but it's happening nonetheless. bothersome.
Mobile data is needed for MMS to come through. I used to use Tasker to disable mobile data when I was on wifi to save battery, but stopped doing it because it blocks MMS. I tried using Tasker to enable mobile data for 5 minutes upon receiving an MMS, but it was a little hit or miss.
If you are using a battery saver app, it could be turning your mobile network off to save battery for you, so check there first. I don't think there are any stock settings for it that would do that, but who knows.

I'm not using any battery saver/task killers/ yadda yadda.. I don't even know when it changed. It's completely doing it on it's own. As soon as i connect to a (W)LAN the 4G dims out and I lose mobile data.
I'm running rooted 4.4.2 and have never taken an OTA update. Nothing in xposed anywhere to change this either that I can figure. I'm completely stumped.
If the 4GLTE icon turns from a "bright" gray to a darker gray, this should be OK. If it disappears completely, that would be OFF or not connected at all. I have Verizon, and that's how mine acts. I have an Xposed module to use AOSP icons in the status bar, so mine just says "LTE" right "above" the Wifi icon instead of next to it, to take up less space.
I do have issues from time to time where MMS will just not download properly. Not sure what causes it, but it goes back to normal after a while.
Solved
Ok I've figured this out as I have finally been able to reproduce the problem.
I'm running privoxy on my home lan and if I set the proxy manually on the phone it will choke privoxy up, literally. I can sit here and watch the CPU usuage just climb on the router. If I disable the privoxy proxy on the phone the message goes right through.
Hello,
Recently something happen to my mobile data connection. I got full signals bar H/H+ next to it but when try to use anything that need data connection, I got message cannot connect.
The data sending arrow shows but not receiving one. Usually turning off and on mobile data fixes that issue but not for long. At first I tough that is stamina related but it can happen even during browsing/facebooking so not sleep mode related.
No problem with receiving/ sending texts or calls, seems only data related. And no such problem over WI-FI, it maintain to stay connected all the time.
I recreated firmware using PC companion but nothing. I tried my sim card on other phone to find out if network problem but no such issue.
I have used generic .157 software after root without unlocking bootloader.
I got that phone for about a year without any problems, unfortunatelly bought second hand and no chance to send to warranty
Maybe anyone has some ideas to try.
Thanks
Do you use any apps for blocking ads?
I had porblems with most sites including google and its apps not getting connection. I finally figured out that it was the ad blocker i used and that i had to upgrade my hosts files again (even if there was no new update) in order to get connections working again. hope that helps

No I do not use any ads blocking apps. It occurs on fresh install, unrooted as well. Today suddenly stops playing spotify music and said connection error but for signal bars and H+ ;(
only thing i can think of is if you maybe have you data settings corrupted. That would cause your connection to not work. Does the internet work on some things but not others? And can you connect to internet with WiFi enabled?
Hi, I'm new here so forgive me if I do something wrong^^
First of all, I have a Moto G 2014, Dual Sim which is running on 5.1.1, to be more specific, this ROM. I was using this ROM for about 4 months already so that shouldn't be the issue. My problem is that after my phone connects to the internet, usually using H+. The connection to the internet is working perfectly fine, but after a while of not using the phone it loses the connection. It still tells me that it got a strong H+ connection, but nothing (browser, apps, anything) is able to connect to the internet. Enabling & disabling airplane mode usually fixes the problem. From time to time it also happens, usually when I lost some sort of wifi connection (regardless if I disabled wifi or I got out of range) it happens that it shows full connectivity but with an exclamation mark. This only goes away if I reboot or enable & disable airplane mode again.
Is this issue known/is there any solution to
I have been experiencing the exact same thing as of lately. I thought it was a byproduct of downgrading from (Stock) Marshmallow to (Stock) Lollipop (yes! it's happening even on stock ROM) where at times the WiFi losses connectivity when the phone had been sleeping for awhile...even though I have the "Keep WiFi on during sleep" option on under WiFi's advanced settings. I had no idea that it also happens with data connections ! ...as I don't use it (too expensive for me), now I'm uncertain what could be the cause. I can see how this would be an inconvenience if you use a lot of social media apps as I sometimes do not get my WhatsApp messages when this happens and sometimes I don't even receive my Hangouts messages until I open the app manually.
It's strange, at times when my phone sleeps for awhile and it losses connectivity and I wake it, it will reconnect just fine and other times it just goes into this state where it reconnects with full signal strength but with an exclamation mark next to the WiFi icon in the notification bar. When this happens, no matter what I try it stays in this state, I tried turning off WiFi and turning it back on, also forgetting the network and entering the info and reconnecting to it but none of that works. I didn't know that turning on and off airplane mode can help....I'll have to try that one, rebooting the phone was the only solution I found which is just inconvenient and somewhat annoying.
I too, am interested in a proper solution. I don't know why the phone ignores the "Keep WiFi on during sleep" option or why at times it connects but have not internet access! It should be noted that it's not a problem with the network, It's not due to an incorrect password or anything like that as I am the one that administers those things and when it happens other WiFi devices such as my Tablet PC, Laptop etc can connect and access the internet just fine and it only happens sometimes on the phone (Moto G 2014). This doesn't seem to happen in Marshmallow...but I hate Marshmallow and I can't remember having this issue on Lollipop post Marshmallow update (how I wish I had never tried out Marshmallow!!!), which is why I thought it was related to downgrading, .......did you downgrade ?
Hi,
I got an problem. Everytime when i use the mobile data and I am in the browser, everything is fine - internet connection is working, but when I have the mobile data on, and the screen is disabled (only aod) the connection to internet is interrupted and I have no acces to the internet. The intelligent mobile transfer is off, but still when the phone is on allways on display, after few minutes the connection is "off", even if the mobile data is on. I checked the connection signal, and everything is fine. Is there an system app that might be killing the internet connection? It's my first time with Huawei.
Best regards

Maybe your smart data saver is on. Search for it in the settings.

Then in app launch, have you restricted google play services ? make sure that auto launch - secondary launch - run in background is all turned on
Also make sure data saver is off, reboot and then try again.
Lastly, under More Battery Settings - make sure Stay connected when device sleeps is Turned On
Okay I changed the app launch for Google Play Services to manual and will see if it will work. @JJay666 thanks for the help.
