Broken partition i think - Xiaomi Redmi 4X Questions & Answers

Hi,
i have problem with unbricking 4x. Was trying to repair not working sensors on Android P, and did a full wipe, factore reset etc. I think that I've broke some partition persist layout.
My phone is bootlooping all the time now after mi logo, on lineage os it is loading all the time.
For now i cant mount persist partiton in twrp, cant erase persist, cant flash persist via fastboot, cant flash fastboot firmware via EDL, because i am getting error at the beginning. I can flash rom via Miflash but after 5 min during installating phone is restarting and it getting bootlooping (installation isnt finished).
Please help, i was rooting many phones in my life and its my first hardbrick :/
Anyone could sent me backup of persist partion from twrp?
SOLVED: That thing if edl flashing works depends of how fast i go to flashing after phone reboot.

If you haven't yet resolved your issue, and all else has failed, you should give this a try. I was in the same boat as you and this saved my life! https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-2/how-to/repair-hard-bricked-phone-x52x-sd-t3648348

My H9L Is BootLoop

Hello all..
my name is daniel, i have an H9L. My H9L has been rooted and installed TWRP. I want to install a ROM called LineAgeOS, before that I have backed up the data. and I started to reset my H9L, when I wanted to install a ROM there was a problem, because the difference in my processor failed to install the ROM. and I hit it wrong, I restarted my H9L, now my H9L is on without a stock ROM, and it is strange that my TWRP is not working, just stuck in the TEAMWIN logo, can anyone help me to restore my H9L the original state, my H9L only works in the FASTBOOT MODE state, I tried to flash my H9L with ADB DRIVER but failed, I tried to flash with MICRO SD and made the dload folder but failed at 5%, what have I confused, is there anyone here who can help my problem, THANK YOU.

Have you tried Erecovery to restore stock?
On the bootloader unlocked warning screen press and hold volume+ for 3 secs.
Needs to use WiFi.
Try yo reflash twrp in fastboot mode. The command is fastboot flash recovery_ramdisdisk twrp. Img
Before you have to put twrp. img in the adb folder
I'm experiencing the same problem after trying to root my h9l through twrp the mistake I made is that I flashed the image in a wrong partition.
I can only access a fastboot mode with frp and phone unlocked, it cannot even display a charging screen. Once plugged it keeps on rebooting and hangs on error screen,
I have tried to flash kernel, ramdisk, recover_ramdisk and system images all on their respective partition, the flashing went well, but the phone didn't respond.
I've tried to flash boot.IMG (some one posted for h9l,) into Boot partition, but it revealed an error.
Any one please help what should I do to brings by device back to lite

Can't mount any partition to wipe with twrp 3.3.0-0 data/system/cache/dalvik

I come from stock miui 10.0.2.0 unlocked bootloader and debug feature on, I flash the recovery via fastboot, then, I boot trough fastboot to to make recovery persistent, then when I reboot the phone it get stuck at miui logo, but I can enter in to the recovery I flashed before.
The problem apears when I try to wipe any partition, it says that can't mount any of them so is imposible to flash anything.
I can flash trough MiFlash tool to get back to stable MIUI without any trouble.
I readed many post about this problem and as far i can figure, its a SElinux or crypto problem.
Any idea of how can I solve this?.
Regards.

[SOLVED] Mi A2 boot loop after TWRP restore

EDIT: Solved.
My Mi A2 is unlocked, rooted (Magisk), stock FW V10.0.7.0 (via OTA), not encrypted (Disable-Force-Encryption-Treble.zip)
I wanted to update to V10.0.8.0, so I booted to TWRP and performed a full backup.
After that, I loaded the original boot.img to both boot_a and boot_b, then reboot.
Then the phone auto restarted while showing Android One logo (not showing running color bar yet)
I panicked (1). I booted to TWRP and did a full restore. While restoring Firmware, there was a red error line:
"ExtractTarFork() process ended with error=255"
I pretended nothing happened and reboot. Phone was still unable to boot past the Android One screen.
I panicked (2). Then I flashed the original firmware V10.0.7.0 using official Xiaomi fastboot image (except user data). Phone was still unable to boot past the Android One screen.
I've try some other (stupid/crazy) things except for erasing user data, but phone is still unable to boot now.
Please let me know what I have done wrong, and any possible way to recover the phone without erasing user data.
Solved:
I flashed the original fastboot image, install the Disable-Force-Encryption-Treble.zip and the phone can boot up again.

Newb help - unable to mount storage?

Hi all,
I'm having trouble flashing a custom ROM on my Mi 9 Lite. After formatting, TWRP is unable to mount storage, probably due to encryption/decryption issues! Here's what I've done so far:
- unlock boot loader (with Mi Unlock after wait time)
- flash TWRP recovery with fastboot (mauronofrio)
- boot to TWRP worked fine
- followed the OP by gringo80 to install LineageOS 16.0 - as was said there, to do FORMAT once after flashing TWRP
Now TWRP can't mount/find internal storage, says "failed to mount data (no such device)" - can't format or wipe data anymore. All I found so far is that this will be an encryption/decryption issue due to the formatting, but no clue on how to undo this!
Any ideas? Flashing new system or restoring backup always results in bootloop, probably because the ROM can't write on internal storage either?!
Please help :crying:

The current twrp has issues with data try to change filesystem to f2fs and after that change back to ext4 (it forces a full data partition wipe). i've done this always on my mi9 lite AND watch out for the right firmware for lineage os that causes issues too

Changing file system to ext4 and back to f2fs did the trick - thank you so much!
Was able to install LOS 17.1 going forward. Thanks again! :good::fingers-crossed:
Need help again :crying:
I flashed the original firmware as instructed, but now all I get is fastboot - NO RECOVERY!
If I flash a recovery with fastboot, all I can to is boot to fastboot again... what can I do now? :crying::crying::crying:

You may have bricked your phone. Did you tick the 'clean all and lock' option in miflash rather than 'clean all'? If so your phone is bricked and needs EDL flashing by an authorized technician to fix it.
Lucky enough, not bricked - I flashed a firmware update in the middle of all of it, one which, of course, replaced almost everything I had done so far. Forgot to flash custom vbmeta when trying to re-flash TWRP, doing so solved the issues I've had. Close call though, as the firmware update could have re-locked bootloader in a worst case scneario, so really lucky to be using my phone with MiuiMiX now, all working perfectly!
Thanks for the help though!!!
