A couple of months ago my phone (Sony Xperia Compact with Omnirom) suddenly reboots at night while charging. Three weeks ago and last night it happened again.... Problem is that after reboot it doesn't fully restart, but it got stuck in bootloop (screen with omnirom coloured logo).
After "power off and volume down/up" it will restart normally. But I'll use my phone as an alarm clock as well. Pretty annoying when your phone is not working in the morning
Does anyone have an idea about this problem? Or is there a way to check something like a changelog?

Howdy,
So I flashed my phone to cm4.2 last weekend and everything has been quite dandy. But I now I have a problem, and I kind of doubt its from the cmod because that was a week ago and this problem happened yesterday...
Yesterday I was talking on the phone until the battery died. Then I rushed to my charger and plugged it in. I tried to turn it back on but it would not. It goes to the G1 screen then to the CM boot animation screen then the screen turns BLACK! IT will not stop doing this. I have to keep pulling out the battery. Last night I even pulled out the SIM and battery for a few minutes. Then put them back and tried again. Same result. I charged it fully last night (while off) thinking that might help. This morning after the LED light was green I tried again to reboot the phone.. Also sometimes the phone will do this reboot sequence after I plug the charger in, but it still goes to the blank/black screen... awww..
I am really hoping I do not have to wipe the phone and start over again with my apps and stuff because I have not really found a great free backuper and have not backed up within the last few days. I can use home+end call button to get to the bootloader (right name?) screen. However I am REALLY hoping I do not have to wipe.
Any solutions? I tried searching but could not find an answer..
THANKS!! This is basically terrible timing too because I leave on vacation tomorrow morning and will be needing my phone.
So hi,
A couple weeks ago my Xperia Z started acting weird it was plugged in the wall charging. Like I would wake up in the morning, take the cable out of the phone and the led would just stay one and the phone wouldn't respond at all (screen wouldn't turn on nor did it do anything when I would play with volume buttons The only thing that would getting to respond was the old volume up + volume down + power button combination that would reboot the phone.
It's been doing that at least six or seven times since, and it happened last night. It was plugged, I went to turn on the screen and didn't work. Figured it was the same problem as before so I tried to reboot it. Led went off, phone went off, only this time it didn't reboot. I've tried leaving it plugged in the wall for the rest of the night, nothing. It's 1h45 p.m here in France and my phone doesn't do anything since 3 a.m.
So yeah, I think the issue has to do with the battery, and my question is: is there anything I can try or do I send it straight to customer care after contacting them?
my moto g2 was running well when it was updated to lollipop 5.0.2. After around 2 months it fell into water for around 2-3 seconds. i took it out suddenly and switched it off because there was no option to take battery out. after 5 to 6 minutes it turned on automatically and i could see water bubbles in the screen. i tried to switch off but touch was not functioning at the moment. at last i could do it. again after certain time it restarted automatically there was a ususual vibration sound and a white display. i couldn't do any thing because battery was inbuilt and it was not functioning. i left it whole night until its battery was drained completely. I dried my phone on the sun, kept it inside bucket of rice. After 2 days i charged it and started phone was running well and i could see little water bubbles in the screen. then i noticed that when i lock the screen or after automatic screen off if i unlock the phone phone was starting up. it means after screen off phone sleeps and it shuts down or some time restart. At first i thought it would solve if i do hard reset then i did factory reset it didn't work. i unlocked bootlader rooted phone and flashed cyanogenmod 12.1. but there was same problem. then i restored back to stock android 5.0.2 there was same problem.
Now i am using my phone by running music player in the background and making the volume 0. while playing music if screen is off it won't shutdown or restart. and also while my phone is in charge it won't restart or shutdown. So to use my phone either i have put it on charge or i have to play music in background.
How can i solve this problem? Please help
Unfortunately you rooted your device, so the warranty is voided now.
My best suggestion, due to it is water damage, is to take it to a local shop for repairs, but that might cost you more than it is worth.
It is not a software issue, so there is no solution that you can find here. Sorry.
hello,
I have a mi5 64gb and it was running great around one year with mokee rom. some days ago I put my phone out of my pocket and it was dead. there was just a black screen and no reaction. even holding volume up + power for minutes was not working. after around 10 minutes pressing keys together the phone startet into recovery (TWRP 3.2.1) and booting system went normal. some hours later it was again dead...
I thought it's just a defective rom so I wiped everything (system, data, internal storage,...) and flashed a new firmware and a new rom (resurrection remix stable). but exactly the same behavior appears again.
as long the phone is in use, it is working normal. but once it's in deep sleep it seems that it will never wake up.
what can I do to get it working again?
Put it in fastboot mode and try to install Global Stable rom
ok, i'll try that. I'm afraid something is wrong with the cpu because I let it over night in TWRP and nothing happend. but in in TWRP the phone has no deep sleep. would it be possible to increase the cpu deep sleep voltage?
i have flashed the global stable rom via fastboot three times, disassembled the phone and reassembled it but the problem still exists.
when it's in your hand it works great but wearing it in your pocket and after some time it will end with a black screen.
what can i do? is the motherboard defective?
no ideas?
Reconnect the battery from the motherboard
I disassembled and reassemble it but the problem still exists.
maybe sod killer from playstore will help u
I'm having exactly the same issue. Have you found any solution?
