This question is probably in the wrong section but anyway...I did. I never checked the phone prior to rooting so I'm not sure if a "bad root" was the cause or not. However, I experienced the exact same problem as you. I was originally on build OPS27.82-19-4 so I reflashed stock OPS27.82-19-4 as described here. But I still had the same problem. On a whim I randomly flashed build OPS27.82-19-4 following the same instructions. The phone has been working great ever since (I have it rooted, xposed. etc...). Not sure why there was a problem, or if reflashing the newer build "fixed" it or not...but as I said, all is good now. FWIW, when I check the sim status in settings>about phone, the network section is blank. It was blank when I had problems too.
Perhaps this will help you..
PS When I reflashed the firmware, the phone would boot into fastboot mode, then when I selected "Start" it would boot to the OS. If you run into that, here is how it was fixed. See posts 5, 6, 7, & 8.
Good luck!
I had a similar problem, I did the root, TWRP, I ended up giving up and flash again on the stock of the bike G6 Play (Brazil) available here in XDA, to my surprise, he made and received calls normally, the speaker for music and connections of other applications (Whatsapp, Messenger, Hangouts, etc.), but it did not work for the rom dialer.
I thought I had a problem, it was when a system update appeared, I installed it and it worked again.
I figured it was some rom bug I installed.
Tanks for the help.
I solved the problem flashing the phone with flashrom.bat instead of put the comand one by one.

That's because a custom rom or GSI does not have all the necessary files. 99.9% of the time, flashing stock will fix a problem.

Hi all,
Last week I upgraded my Note to new LT4 rom.(s). Couple of days later, my Note was unable to make calls. When I try to make call or receive a call, there is no sound neither from earpiece nor from the speaker. If I reboot the phone I sometimes be able to make some calls with a great noise on the background then it stops.
I re-flashed the rom and flashed other roms even re-flashed LZS roms with all clean install even finally formatted the internal sd card . No change.
Since I can make one-two calls after each reboot I still think it may be a software issue rather than hardware.
All other functions including cell reception, 3G, internet, wireless all working very well but cannot use it to make phone calls.
If you have any suggestions I appriciate.
Best Regards
Update - I installed the stocked LZS Rom but the problem still continues.

have you checked that your IMEI is the correct one? maybe it got corrupted...If that is the issue, should be solved by restoring your EFS backup .

No, I haven't checked. But I don't know my previous IMEI . How am I supposed to know if changed or not? I haven't backed it up. How to restore to original status?
Thanks

Below the battery you have the original IMEI number...if it is changed, then that is the issue. If you don't have a backup of your EFS, I am not sure but you can try to flash the stock rom by selecting EFS in ODIN PC. That is stuff is quite delicate, so I would recommend you to ask Dr. Ketan that he is more familiar with it.
But again, make sure that your imei is fine first. If that is not, then might be a hardware issue..
Thank you for your kind suggestions. I checked and it looks O.K. there is no change on IMEI. Actually I can receive SMS and 3G is working very well, my phone rings if someone calls but cannot talk.
Problem continues
Hi There,
The problem still hasn't been solved. Somehow all is going fine and suddenly re-occures. Has anybody come up with same problem and found a solution? Please share.
ı am on xlt6 Rom with Philz kernel

Hi guys,
this is gonna be a long story, but I'm at end of my wits.
So my phone (HTC One M7_UL Vodafone DE) got water damaged (it was submerged in water for at least a minute). I tested it again last weekend and it seemed to work in terms of hardware. I managed to test the speakers, the charge jack, the headphones jack, wifi, gsm, both cameras, etc. it all seems to work fine, and it's not about that anyways. I kept getting a "com.htc.htcdialer" issue, saying the process had unexpectedly crashed and then a few minutes later the phone would reboot. I tried finding out what this error was and how to fix it but I couldnt find anything. Also its weird that I got a software error.
So I unlocked the bootloader (via htcdev.com), flashed the latest recovery (I tried both cwm and twrp), which was also fine. I managed to install the latest Android Revolutions HD (53.0) and thats where the problems started again: I would get to the lock screen but as soon as I would swipe up to unlock it I would the white screen with the HTC letters on it. I tried wiiping all the cache and partitions i could find and reinstalled that rom, but the problem remained the same. Tried a different recovery (twrp) repeated all the steps and still no more luck than before.
So I decided to give a different rom a try and just flashed the latest stable cyanogenmod rom on it, and that boots fine, but eventually without error message reboots as well.
Then I tried flashing the latest viper rom, but there I have the same issue as at the beginning, that I get as far as the lock screen and then it just wont let me unlock it.
And that's where Im at the end of my wits. I cant imagine its a hardware related issue, but i might be wrong.
Ideally I would love to get my hands on a nandroid backup to restore the phone to stock, a stock rom ruu, but I cant find any of those either.
I'd really appreciate your help.
Let me know if you need specific details of installations, versions, decide numbers, etc
So for some reason today, my phone restarted and now I can't call people or receive calls, if I do. My phone restarts. Also can't use Bluetooth or it also does the same and restarts what can cause this? My phone getting too hot and damaged the motherboard? When I installed a kernel it was corrupted? I really have no understanding what caused this. I had resurrection from on it. I updated it with a newer one and did a bootloop. So I put cyangemod on it and worked but noticed those huge issues. Thinking the ROM was corrupted I put rr back on it and had the exact same issues. Any help would mean everything to me

How are you flashing your roms? Like, what sort of wipe, what flash order, etc.
Sent from my DROID Turbo using Tapatalk
for some reason after going back to stock which fixed everything, everytime I go back now to cm 13. I go to advance options under wiping and just check them all, and wipe. Then put the rom and gapps on then do the cache wipe. Then roboot. Afterwards, I still had the problem so I just went back to stock again.
Settings -> Apps -> gear icon -> Default Apps -> Phone app.
Make sure you set your Google Dialer to default, otherwise incoming and outgoing calls cause reboots.
Hello, I had tried posting this where I assume it belongs but I can't seem to post anywhere but here. Anyways, today me and a friend rooted his ROG Phone 2 via rooted ROM we had found here. Everything had gone to plan, unlocked the boot loader with Asus's tool, fastboot the custom ROM, ran Magisk and let it update, confirmed root with it and a cheapo Play Store root checker, all was good.
First issue, WiFi didn't work, but no big deal, unlimited data. Then he discovered that sound didn't work, so I immediately looked it up, didn't find a post specific to his phone but someone mentioned the mic not working in the one I read, gut feeling I told him to check the mic, loe and behold, not working.
He doesn't want to have to reset to factory ROM and lose the root. Ant idea what's wrong? I could find the post we followed if requested before I find and post it anyways.
As mentioned it's the new Asus ROG Phone 2
Model
ZS660KL
The 512GB/12GB RAM
As far as I'm reading is there shouldn't be any exact issues and is no particular reason. We read later on in the comments, someone had the WiFi issue but the OP assured his didn't have the issue.
WiFi isn't a major need, again, data. But the sound and mic is a huge issue as it's his daily. I'm familiar with rooting and custom ROMs, mainly Samsung's. I'm quite confused, I've never had a major issue with a ROM that doesn't have a simple work around.
What firmware version is he on? He has to make sure that the magisk-patched boot image matches the firmware he has installed or he will have issues like the ones you describe with WiFi, sound, and possibly abnormally long boot times.
This is a boot image issue
Had the same issue when rooted.. i flashed the ww rom again to unroot my device now everything works. Hopefully someone can give a solution
He's working on patching a fresh ROM from Asus, that's the only idea he can make right now.
i have following problem: i got a xz1c without original firmware. i have no backup with the Stock-Rom. I installed twrp and flashed lineageos16 lilac. everything works excepted the microphone and speaker during a call. That means: i can start the call, and it is ringing at the other person, but i can't hear anything. no connection ring and no voice. the other person can't hear me also. microphone and sound/loudspeaker works in all other apps (i tested music-player, voicemail, recorder). i tried different call apps. nothing works.
the big problem is: i can't switch back to firmware because it doesn't exist as backup. i can't flash other ROM, because this lineage version is the only one i can flash. RR, AOSP, etc. failed all during installation.
what can i try? Has anybody a backup from firmware of the g8441, i can try?
i tried with a lot different files, for example androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=274221
either the filelink is broken or the flash failed during flashing.
i get crazy :-/
p.s.: I'm no expert in flashing phones, so please be sorry if i don't understand everything or if i use wrong words for explaining

Use EMMA to get you back to stock.

Hi!
Did u install Ainur Sauron and tweaked sauron.useroptions? If that's the case, look, under
"Experimental Qualcom only options",
did u set the option in line 82 "COMP=true" ?
I think, by removing the headphone compander from audio mixer s.th. goes wrong with routing to the right audio output channel, again.
Just from interest: perhaps u could check, if u have some pluggable headphones near u, if the left channel is a lot quieter?
Had this, I would call it "Xperia-Head-/Earphone issue", comin from Stock .228, after clean and fresh install of that unofficial one in LOS 16 1.0 (unofficial). I wondered, that after flash-routine, but before installing Ainur in Magisk, with my all-time-useroptions for sauron, still in internal memory (I didnt wiped internal memory, btw.) A friend was calling me, and everything was fine.
In the afternoon, after flashing Sauron, with this COMP-option set to true, same issue again. I had a few more options ticked, but that one seemed to make a lot more sense to me, not to be used with my XZ1c, again.
This will help u, perhaps.
U don't need to flash anything, if evreything is proper installed and working fine, except ur "Xperia-Head-/Earphone issue".
