SONY devices DO NOT have camera2api, which is need for google cam to work.

sony have camera2api, but it lock the possibility to save raw image.
this is the problem, without raw image the hdr+ not work properly

Really, now I may have missed something, as I'm under the influence of a lot of cold medicine.. but my phone may want to argue this.. It's found under manual mode.. Oh and I'm not a camera person..

He meant hdr+ (a feature in gcam)
yes. but you had to abandon stock rom.
Instead of stock,u can get hal3 support on aosp9.0 (SODP)
And it unsteady.
you will lose 960fps ,4k record,etc.

Doesn't work on galaxy nexus on lollipop either but I would guess he will get it to work on nexus 6 pretty quick if not ....

No problem, I'm still looking for a decent camera app as well. I wish I could use the stock LG one from my G3 on here but I don't think it will work.

It opens and I can take pictures but it crashed after that. I tried to mess with the settings in the app but then it crashed again.
I want to use the moto x 2014 camera app but I need root to install it. It fails to install normally, are there any other good alternatives to a basic camera app like the moto one or the LG ?

the L camera works completely fine on my nexus 6. and i havent updated yet. no issues with it.

slo-mo isnt an option, at least i dont see it. and i updated it today.

There's no option for it as of right now. Also the photos look a little worse than the stock camera app when I compared them. The app has potential if you can edit the photos saved as a RAW format.

I see by the pics that there are a number of options that end in x60. Is that frame rate? What do the videos look like when you use those? The assumption is that the playback is still going to do 30 fps and if shot at 60fps then the playback would be slo-mo.
Also what are the grayed out options and the blue options, if you know?

In assuming that is the frame rate.
Blue is my selected option, grayed out are ones that I can't click (don't work on my phone)

Tried it. App works. Can't tell if the results are better than the existing portrait mode yet. Have to test further.
I was able to donwload. I had to restart for the camera to start correctly.
Is Portrait Mode working for you? I can't get it to work.

I know this is a little late but install "APK Editor" from the Play Store. It allows you to change the SDK of any app.

3)go to settings and hit the B-S-G mod settings
4) there you can find portrait mode for all device..that can be marked on..but you need to unmark and mark it again.. then on the top hdr+ for front camera...do same thing for that..
5) force stop the app and wallah!! you got portrait mode by swiping..
6) you can set hdr+ quality to very high..but don't even touch model and config camera hdr+..

which settings?
Seems to be a rather stable version. Can someone confirm that the 3x and 10x zoom lenses are not possible to access with 3rd party apps and that they are blocked by Samsung (not listed in "Camera2 probe" app)? The different download versions seem to be a workaround for that but i think that does not work anymore?

Also curious here if we will see a fully functioning GCAM. I have been using a 90% functioning GCAM with my S9+ for a long time and it has been a blessing, amazing pics!!!
