Hello, I flashed my mi8 like I do every week.
This week I flashed the xiaomi.eu weekly rom, used it for 10hours, then my phone randomly restarted, and now it don't detect SIM cards and don't turn on WIFI, and the phone restart every X minutes.
I think the persist partition has gone. I can't find it on TWRP.
Any help?
Thank you

I sent my phone to checked by a professional, because it fell from the couch in the afternoon, and everything is working, no shorts.
Now I was almost 100% that the 19/12/2019 update ****ed my phone.
I already bought a realme x2 , because this is my 2nd xiaomi that die out of nowhere, the last one was a Mi4, random shutted down, and never went back to life.
Is your Mi8 chinese or globa versionl?
Mine is chinese
Same problem (global version). Did you fix It?
Hey guys, im from brazil and have same problem, anybody have a help?
Im trying unlock my fastboot for downgrade rom.
I found a fix, remove SIM card, wait 10 seconds, power off phone, put SIM cards back inside and boot the phone

This issue has happened on many phones over the past 5 years, and it can definitely be resolved, it has nothing to do with unlocking anything, it's a encryption problem.
It is possible that when Mi-Cloud attempts to register your sim card, that some sort of security packet is downloaded to the phone for your protection. Ensure that you can sign into your mi_cloud account and locate your device, if using Miui. Also, be sure that you have international texts enabled, they text just once or twice so it doesn't cost more than a few cents.
With all of that being said a persist issue isn't the same thing as a sim card issue, and if you phone will not boot you are well past taking out your sim card. The easiest and fastest solution is to restore your persist partition from a TWRP backup, if you have one.
If that is not an option follow my instructions here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=79824537&postcount=2

If you are meaning that your bootloader is locked then the only option ( if your phone is linked to your MiCloud account) Is to return to a stock rom using Miflash or by downloading a fast boot images rom and using the flash all.bat method. The link that I provided earlier has a fast boot images rom linked.
Clarify whether or not you can access fastboot. If you can in fact access fast boot, and you previously used custom ROMs the instructions for installing TWRP are on the official TWRP website. You simply use ADB to push it yo the recovery partition.

hey whats up man,I hope u still answers questions I really hope you do because I'm in a dire situation where is my xiaomi mi8 cant connect to my sim card .It all started this year after a use of this phone since 2019 january. After my trip overseas , I got my own national sim card in again after that it occurs the problem at first was not that consistent, sometimes it detects, sometimes its good, after a while I thought that the sim card is loose so I wedged the simcard with a bit of paper, about sometime it works and then it starts to overheat when it doesn't detect the sim card inside and starts to reboot on its own, if I remove my simcard, its all good I can use wifi without overheating, how can I actually solve this problem? i quite believe that mi account /micloud that is causing all of this? whats your opinion on this? Im not an expert at all. Thanks for your time of reading this

"Trying to flash" , what exactly did you flash ?
How do you flash it ?
Why dont you flash TWRP followed by ROM of any choice ?
NV normally contained in EFS partition, which can be backed up and flash from TWRP and QPST.
But again, your description is far from clear for us to help you.

When you flash using TWRP, did you actually managed to boot into system ? Or it stuck in recovery ?
Where did the nv corrupted notification appear when u were using TWRP ?
Prior to facing this issue, what you actually did ? I mean, did this phone work before ? Before you start getting this error, what you did, what you install, what you flash, what you delete ? Or did it just suddenly happen with nothing modified ?

This is absolutely not a issue, that requires using Qpst
You simply need to wipe data and follow the on screen prompts. (You will lose all data on your phone.) However the phone will work again.

Sorry that you are having these issues, But my comment was based on the photo that was posted on the OP. Typically formatting is the resolution. If you no longer have that screen available, you should contact an authorised repair center to fix it for you.
Otherwise If the phone is bound to your account, you could try what is listed here: https://www.mobilerdx.com/2019/02/xiaomi-mi-8-test-point-boot-xiaomi-mi-8-into-edl-9008-mode.html
Scams or Actual Fixes?
I have recently read about supposed hacks that according to a couple of Chinese BBS sites, has worked for some that require buying a specialised Jtag programming tool which cost about $60, that you use along with altered versions of following files: prog_emmc_firehose_8909.mbn.elf, mi8 persist image, rawprogram0, frp and a patch file. All of which that can all be obtained from here: https://romprovider.com/2019/09/mi-account-remove-xiaomi/ ( UMT Download)
Supposedly Chimera is another option: https://chimeratool.com/en/docs Again I have not used any of these tools with the mi8, I am merely sharing what I read about recently.
By the time you have spent the money acquiring the tools, it seems that you are better off just mailing the phone off to be repaired by an official repair center. Here is a web page that provides a list of official repair centers : https://www.pinoytechnoguide.com/2014/06/xiaomi-service-centers.html
Good Luck and try anything mentioned above at your own risk.
Edit: Have you tried the Flashall.bat method?
That should work since you are seeing the com port.

You need backup EFS and Modem via TWRP first(better with OrangeFox). After you need Magisk first and some manipulation with QCN file via QPST. I will write it later

Try to flash a full rom with this tool.
Rom
Dont relock bootloader.
"I did this when I first got the phone and flashed stock EU rom, Will do it again if no one else responds with any other methods, and I really need to use phone and hassle each time to set everything up after reflashing"
There are 3 methods, Miflash is the safest to avoid problems afterwards.
Reflash the original rom (cn) and test.
Ok thanks, as I dont have backup phone its a lot of hassle testing etc and I need my phone most of the time

Hi,
I've bought a used MI 11 (8gb/256gb) phone. Did not pay attention during buying, so the issue might be present from the beginning: the gyroscope, accelerometer and magnetic sensors are not working. Steps I've already took:
- I've entered into CIT and I've went to calibration: they all fail. More precisely I open the e.g. gyroscope and then wait and nothing happens. Same with the other two sensors. Camera calibration also fails, I assume bc of one of this sensor is not working.
- I've already flashed persist.img via TWRP (i know, I have lost L1, so DON'T DO IT!) and that did not help.
- Tried fastboot / twrp flashing different roms (xiaomi.eu, xiaomi global, xiaomi chinese, xiaomi europe).
Is there anything I can do here? Is it possible that these 3 sensors are all physically broken? Are they actually just one sensor?
thanks!

Too bad. Sometimes adb also gives error that partition a does not have enough size
adb???? flash using miflash. or another tool. this error mean u have damaged partions table. if you follow the guides u dont recive any error. works fine for miui 12.5.2 and any other version. but i think u didnt follow the guides with attention.

My phone is the Chinese version(Redmi Note 10 5G and Redmi Note 11 SE
), but miui global version also brushed, some of the old firmware can be brushed, you can enter the desktop, but part of the existence of 4G5G signal is weak, or even no signal, some have a signal but no sound to call. So brush the correct miui firmware is important
His problem is mainly manifested in the GSI problem.
