Going to bed each night, I place my phone in the Samsung Duo wireless charger and, 3 or so hours later, it's flashing the screen randomly @ full brightness, the red charging light on the Duo is blinking rapidly and some sort of text is popping up on the screen but doesn't stay long enough for my sleep weary eyes to be able to read.
Honestly, it's flickering like lightning!
Anyone have any ideas as to what's going on & how to stop it? My dog is petrified of storms and, every night, he's thinking there's a lightning storm headed in and shaking jn terror. Somethings gotta give and the wife is attached to the dog, so I figure have to solve the weirdness with the screen flashing...
Any help is appreciated!

I finally figured it out. Don't know exactly where I found the setting or the forum I found the fix in, but it was a setting that had to be turned off for full battery notification. Once I turned it off, the issue stopped
Thanks for the reply!

It was insane! Woke both my wife & I on multiple occasions. And drove my dog to insane levels of anxiety. He was sure it was lightning and acted accordingly.
Glad I got it fixed. Really a useless function

i never switch my diamond off lol
I'm experiencing an issue with my diamond (DIAM110, AZTOR, Radio 1.09).
Battery drains too fast, with everything off except 3G.
I never turn off the display, backlight goes off after 1 minute idle.
When I plug it on USB for charging, if the display isn't completely off, it doesn't charge (wheel flashes like it is charging but the battery meter keeps falling down).
Also, in the battery menu the option "Last full charge" keeps saying "Not applicable".
Is there a problem with my unit?

They all drain really fast. I turn the display off whenever I'm done using it and it still doesn't last more than a day if I'm lucky. Some days if I text a lot I'll have to switch out batteries 2 or 3 times in a day.
hi!
i was just wondering, my tytn 2 is not charging, when i look at the battery meter, it says charging, but instead of going up. it goes down, the amber light
the signals charging is gone.
im sure its not the battery. coz i did get a charger, the one where u put probes on the + and - terminal of the battery, it charged. the battery is working now. however, i couldnt charge via the phone.
the red light came up before which indicates not charging so what do i do now?
someone suggested to hard reset it. i tried it but nothing. still the same. i reflashed it... nothing... now using the hyperdragon rom... still the same...
any ideas?
btw, when i plug in the charger, amber light is there... however, not for long, light turns off, but the charging / plugged into the charger symbol is there
as far as my personal experience goes, i have noticed this behavior only when the battery overheats while charging. in the hottest weather, this has NEVER happened for me. it only happens sometimes if my device screen is on WITH wifi WITH bluetooth WITH data connection WITH some heavy processing program running. this causes heating of the components and also leaves little power to charge the battery, because most of the charger's power is being redirected to power the components in use.
so, the device will charge for a few minutes and will interrupt the charging if the temperature rises. the charging will resume again when the temperature comes back down.
you can test if this is happening with your device by observing how long it charges before stopping, first without a fan and then with a fan blowing over the battery with the back cover removed.
if the charging lasts longer when the device is being cooled with a fan, then you are likely facing temperature issues.

i was so pissed, all the solutions did not work... i decided to open it up
when i opened it, i saw that there is some dirt / corrosion on some lines
cleaned each and every one of them.
while it was open, plugged in the battery... then the charger...
after 2 minutes... battery bar went up! it is now charging!!! and
best thing... it also syncs!
Good to know that you solved your problem.

has motorola fixed that little LED after this update?
I don't see how they could release this phone without noticing that... so stupid.
Moto's official explanation is that it isn't a charging light but a "sign of life". It only comes on(blinks) when battery is too dead for the phone to turn on charging mode. This is to let you know its still alive. Would be nice if it was a charging light though.
Sent from my DROID3 using XDA App
Charging at Night
To be honest, I'm really glad that they decided for it to be a "sign of life" light. With my previous phone (Milestone/OG DROID), the light would bother the hell outta me when I'd go to bed at night and charge it on my nightstand.
Thanks Moto for this one !
Light Flow
Light Flow has an option for this and a lot more. you can make the LED one color for charging and another for when its full.

That app is for the front LED. Not the side tiny little light next to the microUSB port.

There's a light on the side?! I just had to look now to see it. I had never seen it before. I'm running the leaked OTA, when does it even light up?
Read about 4 posts up
With the OTA applied, the light now works if the phone is OFF.
Once the phone is switched on, the light goes out.
And the phone is plugged into a charging source, of course.
Wow I never knew this existed. Interesting...I guess. I don't think I've ever seen it light up.
I tried it too and it lights up a second then the phone is turning on, the led then turns off. Glad its working.

I saw that it existed, but had never seen it light up. Until I plugged in my phone with no battery in. Then it lit up. I was running .890 and that was the first time I ever saw it.
My camera flash diode is always on, even when the phone is powered off. I first noticed it when I went to charge my phone over night next to my bed. I lay the phone on its face so the LED notification doesn't show. I noticed a slight glow from the flash diode. I thought at first it only happened when I was charging my phone. Today, while at work, I powered down my phone and again noticed the light. For me, its always on. I just got off the phone with T-Mobile and they are going to over night me a replacement. My friend's S6 does not have this issue, so not all of them are having this. I encourage everyone to go into a dark room and check your flash diode.

I don't notice this on mone, but here's a complete guess. Do you have the quick reply feature enabled? I'm referring to the one that lets you hold your finger over the heart rate monitor for a couple seconds to reject a call and reply with a text. Maybe that required the diode to be on in order to detect your finger?
Then again, it would only need to be on while your phone is ringing... Anyway, just a thought. Hope you get it resolved!
Edit: I'm dumb. Nevermind. I read it again and realized it even happens while the phone is off. It's late, I'm gonna sleep now...

Do you mean the red light from the fingerprint sensor (sits right next to the flash)
I noticed this as well. Its definitely the flash and it is very dim. To see it I had to be in a pitch black room and let my eyes adjust. Its probably some small leakage current through whatever off "switch" that controls the flash. I doubt its a battery drain because of the low intensity of the light. It would be easy to test by turning the phone off for a day (i think the light is still dimly lit even with phone off) and observing the battery drop over a day. Who has time for that though.
Great Work .
This could also be responsible for additional battery drain in Sleep Mode , right ?
I am researching Battery Problems before possible purchase so ...Thanks and publicize this.
I may quote you on Reddit if OK.
I have this issue too and supposedly it's going to be fixed when we get 5.1 but I don't find this a huge issue as I'm sure it doesn't affect the battery to any significance. This phone has had so many issues which sucks cuz Samsung did something right for once but little things have been a huge nuisance.
Good night, my LG Gear R started to annoying me with a white battery logo when i charge the Watch
I never saw this before, anyone knows how to fix it please?
He becomes a little bit "hot" when charging, i cant even turn it on while charging
Thanks!
EDIT: FIXED, i dont know how but i let the watch to charge the whole night and hes working normal now
I've never seen that indicator before. Are you sure you are not using a new watchface or app that could causing the display to change?

Yeah, i just let the watch chargin at the baqse while i sleep and this morning he was "okay" the button wasnt working, even the touch. Just the signal flashing while charging lol
i'm not using watchfaces, i'm using the default LG watchface (i like it  )
But thanks anyway!
It is when watch is battery totally empty. Not enough battery to Power ON the watch when put in the charger, so it display only the charge symbol.

Oh, thank you for the tip!
Had the same, still dont know why
Iv had a little issue like this once when the watch was not fully empty
Also had it a few time when i put on charge and just had a little battery with lighting in a notification bubble (like the little bubble that tells you when you dont have connection looks like a cloud with a line through it)
Dont know whats going on but it charges and normally sorts itself out
