hi, I bought a note 8 mobile(SM-N9500 model number), but I am not able to enable VOLTE option in that.
Someone, please help me to resolve this issue. except that everything works fine. i have searched many forums and threads, but i did not find any helpful thread which can resolve the issue. Please suggest any custom ROM or firmware to enable VOLTE.

Hello ,
I live in Egypt, and i just bought my note 5 "n920c" from another country and it came with a lot of apps that dosn't work anywhere but in a specific region.
i have searched a lot , but i didn't find any clear DETAILED instructions on how to change my CSC , in order to flash the official firmware for my country EGYPT.

I too am considering to flash this firmware. Unfortunately, i got reception issue with the new CSC, N920COJV2AOJ3. I cannot touch 4 bar signals on 4G. to be honest a bit better than ex-one. anyway
The website says ,as instruction,;
Extract (unzip) the firmware file
Download Odin v3.10.7
Extract Odin ZIP file
Open Odin v3.10.7
Reboot Phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
Add the firmware file to AP / PDA
Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes
please let me know your experience, if you follow them.

Have you tried changing CSC? I'm curios that 4 bar signals on 4G fixed by another CSC or not.

nope.. but someone mentioned to have built the russian csc into 920c and also to be utterly satisfied with it,considering getting better reception.
i cant say new update is the same as the ex one. but to be honest, it has still problem with reception. i think the only way for satisfaction on it is to flashing and using the russian one.

I did flash the stock russian firmware to mine(came with UAE) and the reception didn't change. And also know that flashing a rom doesn't affect the baseband(the stuff that deals with the reception). The only thing you'll notice would be the bloatware that is russia specific. I am not sure why samsung blocked the ability to flash different basebands.

I see... I noticed the phone somehow sticks to finding 4g skipping good quality reception of H or H+. I have just checked mine. 4G reception streght is shown to be 120db which is unbelievably low. Moreover, i know 3g or even 2g is very good in my area ( i live in a city) but phone skips these, just focuses on finding 4g. thats very interesting.
if I change the band option from 4g to only 3g, I always get 4 bars of 3g. I think the problem comes from its software as well. But, i do not know how to fix it.
Hi Guys,
I got another Note 5 (Silver this time ) but got N9208 model number (Dual sim) (instead of my previous one being N920C Dual).
I was wondering if:
a.) I can replace my current ROM with the Indian N9208 (Dual SIM) ROM (Through the ODIN method; keeping it stock only and not installing any custom kernel/twrp)
The Latest Indian Note 5 Dual SIM ROM being:
Model SM-N9208
Model name GALAXY Note 5
Country India
Version Android 5.1.1
Changelist 6353478
Build date Tue, 22 Dec 2015 06:40:47 +0000
Product code INS
PDA N9208XXU2AOL1
CSC N9208ODI2AOKB
b.) Are there any consequences in doing so (Like loosing any functionality/poor battery life(due to kernel issues)/Tripping KNOX)?
Seeking help with the above. Thanks in advance.
Anyone? Need Help!
@Forum Moderator: Not seeing any responses here. How can I address this query of mine? Any suggestions?
Hello Everyone,
I'm new here. What brought me to this forum was the issue of not getting OTA updates due to using a model imported from another region. My device's CSC is SPR (sprint) but my local carrier works on it just fine. My problem is better elaborated here in this other post :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/question-about-flashing-firmware-from-a-different-region.4043665/
After reading the above thread I decided not to change my firmware to the model firmware for my region as its SoC is Exynos and my phone is Snapdragon. However, I still want to use Odin to upgrade the firmware to Android 11 as I'm still stuck on Android 9 (may 2019 update) and I can no longer bear it.
In the post in the above link, a reply recommended using the USA (USC) CSC, so here's my question,
Would updating with SPR (my current CSC) make my phone unable to work with my local carrier on update completion? or should I just update using USC?
PS: The SPR CSC came with no bloatware, I don't know what the USC CSC will come with.
Service provider info is attached below.
Thanks in advance.
Hello, i got second device and it is Japan Version Model, i was updated to latest firmware and it stuck at One UI 2.1 and theres a lot of bloatware and i want to change firmware to other model like SM-N960U or else. Hi there,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 SCV40 Japan version phone. The Firmware of this phone is N960FXXS4CSK2, CSC is N960UOYN3CSK2, Bootloader is SCV40KDU1BSK2. As far as I know it is mixed. PDA from Exynox model N960F and CSC from Snapdragon N960U and Bootloader is from phone SCV40 Snapdragon Japan.
How is this possible and how can I update my firmware? Please help???
Go to Samfw and download correct firmware for you model and flash with odin.
From what is posted ,the bootloader is bit1 so OP can flash firmware that is bootloader S1 or U1. If OP flashes any firmware that increases the bootloader number he will not be able to downgrade. So any bit1 firmware will work.
Download Galaxy Note9 SCV40 (KDI) SCV40KDU1BSG5 in Samfw - Samsung firmware download
Galaxy Note9 SCV40 (KDI - Japan) SCV40KDU1BSG5 Pie(Android 9) samsung firmware download all model, lastest, fast update, completely free and fast speed in Samfw.com ✅

Thank you all for your response. To clarify further the issue, I bought the phone in Dubai. The shop told me it is used one but only for short time. Originally the phone was from Japan. It is Galaxy Note 9 Model SCV40, KDDI from carrier "au". At first I didn't know it was from Japan, since in Settings, About Phone, Model number says N960F. I only find out later as I tried to update to Android 10. The firmware on the phone is for Exynos variant. But my phone is Snapdragon. I checked with phone info app and cpu-z to make sure. As I mentioned earlier the phone has mixed firmware. PDA N960F, Bootloader SCV40 (Some people say it is N960J) ???, CSC N960U from Snapdragon USA, code GSA, XAA. As you see it is a bit confusing I need help. Can I update only the PDA N960F to Android 10 by using 5 parts firmware and leave the others (bootloader and csc) as it is? Thanks
Sorry for login mix, It is me. Surmam. Thanks
Additional info, if it helps. When I dial *#1234# this is what comes out.
