To go into deeper detail on the ROM, I used Lineage 16.0 20180901 s6 build modified for the s6 found here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...20x-5x-nexusos-9-0-samsung-galaxy-s6-t3843199
It was also based on NexusOS kernel that has been modified, so a big shout out to Team Nexus for the kernel and rom, and to @lukasb06 for porting it to s6.
The original kernel was by Team Nexus for s6 and s6e
Kernel Features;
v2.0: first support Pie on s6e+ and n5
change log:
support N5-s6e+ (ready for daily usage)
bug: BT, GPS, NFC
deep sleep fixed, init.d support, dyninteractive and a lot of kernel code changed.
the kernel can be found at :
https://github.com/slaminger/android_kernel_samsung_exynos7420
**I have made some modifications, added a shim, added code to the init.rc to disable p2p wifi. Moving forward the modifications to the kernel will be done by myself.
Please read and follow the instructions :
New zip uploaded for November. Each month has its own folder
This is not fully functional yet but it is close, no Bluetooth, no NFC. the two buttons next to home don't work yet(a couple of temporary solutions below)
BACK UP YOUR CURRENT ROM! especially efs. Some people have ril issues, I noticed my imei changed. A quick efs restore fixed it and my sim worked again.
The home button can be set to double tap for recent apps and use opera browser for compensation of no back button as they have their own, or download back button from play store to add floating buttons to screen. Some versions have buttons pre installed.
I can get bluetooth not to crash, but it doesn't connect.
Wifi Hotspot not working.
Now that the bad is out of the way.
Install Instructions Below:
The call audio and WiFi works, camera works(lower res for video to 1080), magisk is working but apk requires manual apk install, audio works, headphones, video, gapps, everything I have tried besides the above is OK.
The install is a process, first flash the ROM, then the pie fix, then no NFC, and then flash the boot.
Img and start the ROM. set your WiFi and take a look around, give it a moment to run). After first boot, reboot to twrp and flash gapps. If you do it all at once gapps crash sometimes. Once you have this all set up and good to go then add magisk.
9.0SeptSecurity is a different version from the august security not just in the sense that the security patch is different, but also the august build is N920 where the September build is G920F. One is from a note one from s6. It is possible one might resolve a bug that is in the other for your device, i am honestly not sure. different people report different bugs on the same device. If bluetooth does happen to be in one of the zips it will likely crash a lot. remove it via twrp by mounting system and then going to system/app and delete the bluetooth and bluetoothmidi folders.
The reason for lowering rear camera to 1080p for video is that it gets buggy at the 4k default.
A big thank you to NexusOS and LineageOS for their 9.0 lineage 16.0 s6 ROM which I used as a base to port this to our device!
i would also like to thank @topjohnwu for Magisk.
And @MirzaAwais for the Pie fix zip

It's a bit slow for the first little bit while setting up and whatnot, but once you get everything running it works fine. You can use kernel auditor if you find your battery is dying a little too fast.
I am VERY open to suggestions and or help with this, as it is my goal to fix the bugs and have a fully working 9.0 for our device. The buttons are a priority for me.
To briefly summarize: you sacrifice the back button, pages button, and Bluetooth and get 9.0. Everything else works. I've got viper4android going via magisk, the audio fx work. The ROM has a LOUD volume. So if you like music, enjoy. The back button/page has a work around(most apps have a back button), and you can get an app from play store called back button which gives you the home, back and recent button as tiny floating screen icons also, in the meantime. so just bluetooth really. Use modified cam perm boot shim.img
Enjoy
I removed Bluetooth from the ROM intentionally because it crashed constantly and was hard to disable for people unfamiliar with twrp. No NFC.
The camera has been modified to address pipeline errors that caused it to not work in other builds, it is now fully functional up to 1080p video.
The advanced menu seems to be working fine.
Magisk successfully installed with the following modules tested: Viper4Android, Sony Framework, Sony Music, Audio Modification Library, Sys Config Patcher.
SUBSTRATUM DOES NOT WORK ON ANDROID PIE. This is because google does not want us using OMS for custom themes. they disabled it on purpose. i do not believe systemless substratum will be possible moving forward on any device running pie. atleast not at the time being.
**** Solved** see next post** Netflix not currently working, I googled and found many users on pie are having issues.
Superuser works also, but magisk has modules.
More details will be coming.
All gapps 9.0 working on sm-g928
W8, I used the full aroma package and installed everything. However pixel launcher with assistant in the search bar will not work if you install the new Google webview. The built in Google now launcher will work, and I have tried Nova launcher prime. Keep in mind the more gapps you install the slower your device can get. it is best to only install what you need. i installed everything just to see what worked. but i noticed my phone was slower after a while.
The camera is only confirmed working on g928w8 Canadian, g928g, g928f international/american, note 5 N 920variants. Others have reported bugs.
Netflix Netflix-6.13.0_build_29940.apk confirmed working, both cast and watching videos.
Congrats! Will this rom work on Note 5 N920C too ?

Suggestion: if you un-compress the rom(s) and do a search for *camera or camera* does it return any results. I suggest you compare it to a working version and determine what is missing in the system/ system/app and system/priv-app folder(s) once you determine what is missing then just bring those changes over to your folders

@godkingofcanada Hi, I've got same problem with this rom as I had with Oreo rom before. My WiFi MAC Address is 02:00:00:00:00:00 and it doesn't turn on. Have I to do something more than installing rom and all fixes with it ? I can provide logcat if it would do. Also after clean installation there was no bootanimation and no wallpaper. Just black screen and that's all. Hope to see quick reply. Cheers

What variant of s6e+ do you have? And sure let me peek at the logcat, I have never had it boot to black screen, normally the boot only fails if you did not flash the boot.img. the pie kl500.zip fixes the Wi-Fi, the other zip disables NFC, did you flash both ?

Multisim FAQ
How to enable/disable multisim?
Install a terminal and type the following
Enable:
Code:
su
setprop persist.radio.multisim.config dsds
Disable:
Code:
su
setprop persist.radio.multisim.config none
Or use the file manager in root mode, search for build.prop and change persist.radio.multisim.config=dsds (enable) or persist.radio.multisim.config=none (disable)
Dual SIM has the following limitations:
Both SIMs are always enabled (no way to disable one SIM)
"Receive incoming call while data is enabled" is always enabled
The QuickSettings tile will display the status for the currently selected SIM for data
Changing 2G/3G network mode using the QuickSettings toggle is not supported, only do it from Settings.
3G may not work properly if Dual SIM mode is enabled with only 1 SIM inserted
Ok, this rom seems pretty stable. I think dual sim should work and games like clash of clans won't close themseves. However I don't really know if lock screen widgets works (already searched on privacy and didn't found anything). For those who like features and doesn't need the lock screen widgets, this rom should be great
Edit: Ok, I found how to activate lock screen widgets. It seems it is necessary to disable low ram mode... Well, I'll release RC 1.1 with lock screen widgets working soon

Hmm that's weird. I'm using it right now and I don't have those problems. Those problems happened to you only on this rom or also on other roms? And did you use CWM or TWRP?
Hi, well im using CWM but discovered that this trouble its related with the Gapps.. :S when i change the gapps using another micro or nano version everything works fine. so its not a issue directly of the rom.. and its awesome.. thanxs again..

Is this ROM Better/More stable than NamelessRom? i still can't decide wich one to download...
By the way, youtube doesn't work correctly on CM 11.0 and SlimKat 4.4.4, videos just seem to keep buffering till a. The app crashes, or b. The entire cellphone restarts itself... so I'm trying these two and i need to know wich one is better (in terms of performance, and youtube)
Anyways thanks for giving ROMs to our old little Samsung Galaxy Music

Hello, I'm really sorry to bump this thread, but, some time ago, it seems like this youtube app just stopped working, it just gives an error (401 or something like that) or it straight out tells me that a new version of youtube is available (The broken, original one from the playstore).
So, basically, is there another modified youtube app I can try out that allows me to watch videos on 4.4.4 again? The original YouTube still buffers forever :crying:
Again, sorry for bumping this thread, I hadn't had the time to post this here...

I'm sorry to say that none of these work on a Samsung Galaxy Music S6010 with CM11.0, they all have the same issue of not playing the video at all, and crashing if they're not closed on time...
I guess there are no other alternatives other than to flash back to 4.1.2 ????
4.1.2 is barely usable because of all the bloatware it has, or i don't know what is it that makes it so... laggy.
This ROM is no longer maintained. Sadly the last provided zip files got deleted by accident. If anyone can provide them, I will re-upload.
Disclaimer: Flash at your own risk! Backup your data before flashing! I am not responsible for bricked devices, World War III or your exploding cats!
Warning: The SGP611 images are not tested, but just built by me, as I do not own the device. But as the two devices are the same except for the 4G Modem, it should work. If not, please let me know.
About:
As my beloved SGP621 was just collecting dust, I decided to try porting Android 7.1 AOSP onto it.
And voila, with a few tweaks here and there, it works (for the most part).
What works:
- Display
- Sound
- WiFi
- 4G Data
- Bluetooth
- NFC (somewhat flakey, but much better with fixes in V4)
- LED
- Magnetic Cover Sleep/Wake
- WideVine DRM
- Double-Tap to wake
What doesn't work:
- FM Radio (working on it)
- Camera (Taking Pictures works, but sometimes the camera is not able to connect. Taking a video crashes the mediaserver.)
- You tell me
I have used it for the last few weeks. Battery life near optimal now and I had no crashes up until now. If your battery depletes rapidly, please disable NFC and check if it betters things. Then comment here, so I can look into it.
Keeping your data:
If you come from an earlier version of this ROM it should suffice to only flash boot.img and system.img. Coming from Stock or another ROM you could try to not flash userdata and see if it would keep your data, but I think it will not work in most cases.
Flashing:
Flashing userdata it is like doing a wipe. So BACKUP your data! You have been warned!
To flash it, you need to put your tablet into fastboot mode (VolUp + plugging in USB-Cable) and then flash the three image files from the zip file in the provided link like:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash userdata userdata.img
gapps and/or root:
If you want Google Apps and/or root you need to download official twrp for scorpion windy (or inofficial for scorpion) from here and flash it to the FOTAKernel partition with the following command:
Code:
fastboot flash FOTAKernel twrp-3.0.2-0-scorpion_windy.img
After that you can boot into recovery by hitting VolUp multiple times once the LED flashes purple until it turns orange.
From there you are able to flash
- gapps for Nougat 7.1 arm (nano confirmed working, others could be problematic)
- Magisk-V8 and phh-SuperUser (confirmed working)
Tips for better battery life:
I installed Naptime to trigger deep doze as soon as the tablet goes to sleep. I also enabled zzmoove cpu gov and noop scheduler in the kernel options. Because of the high display brightness, I installed Lux Lite, to dim the screen if it is darker. This leads to me getting standby battery consumption of around 1.2% per hour (measured with GSam Battery Monitor) which is nearly the same amount I got with stock.
Changelog:
18.11.2016 - V4:
- Integrated newest Android Patches from Sony and Google.
- New binaries from qcom (camera, sensors, display, ...)
- Custom kernel with additional fixes, FMRadio patches (not working yet) and zen I/O scheduler
- Fixes and Enhancements here and there
08.11.2016 - V3:
- Integrated newest Android Version NDE63X from earlier today.
- Integrated and enabled WideVine DRM, so that Google Play Movies is now working.
- Custom kernel with additional zzmoove governer and adreno_idler patches to lengthen battery life
- Fixes and Enhancements here and there
04.11.2016 - V2:
- switched the Camera subsystem to HAL1 after discussion with the sony camera guys
- fixed most of the camera related crashes and hangs. Quality of the preview is poor, but pictures are okay.
- Taking a Video crashes the mediaserver and yields no playable result as of now.
- added build for SGP611, which is untested as I do not own the device. But it should work.
02.11.2016 - V1:
- Initial release: Everything except Camera is working. Camera uses HAL3.
Thanks:
- Sony, for providing awesome AOSP support on github

Nope, only SGP621 (scorpion) for now, as I have no scorpion_windy. I'll maybe do a blind build once scorpion is stable and functional enough for my taste.

Tried with many different samples from mplayerhq with many different codecs. In VLC with hardware and software decoding as well as with firefoxes internal playback. They all played back fine and without color distortion. Maybe your player app is not yet compatible with 7.1?
Well this is a surprise. Since I never used NFC and the Cameras with the tablet and always got rid of the corresponding apks in /system this would actually be a daily runner for me right now
Sadly I only have a SGP611, so no love for me right now...
Anyway, top notch work, keep it up!

I think I nearly have the camera figured out. As soon as I am done with that, I will try to do a blind build for the SGP611 (scorpion_windy). If it goes through, you can be my guinea pig for testing if you want

TWRP stopped working after Gapps flash.
Reflashed TWRP but still stack at TWRP wallpaper and doesn't start.
Does anyone have the solution?
ps. Found out if I take out SD card, TWRP works.
SD card corrupts easily, it seems.

This is strange. Please try reflashing boot.img to boot and twrp to FOTAKernel. If that does not work, you could try formatting those partitions before writing to them via fastboot format.

Sorry for my bad English I am trying to improve
Just posted a new version with better camera support.
04.11.2016 - V2: After discussion with the sony camera guys I switched the Camera subsystem to HAL1. Then I fixed most of the camera related crashes and hangs. Quality of the preview is poor, but pictures are okay. Taking a Video crashes the mediaserver and yields no playable result as of now.
Also I am currently running a build for SGP611 (scorpion_windy). If it builds with no problems, I will post it here for you to test.
Is there a way to get ROOT?
I just flashed SR3-SuperSUv278 and got a boot loop.

Thank you for your info.
I have flashed phh-superuser-magisk-r259 but the root is still missing. No boot loop though.
ps. Solved by installing phh's superuser from Play store.
Added build for SGP611, but the following Warning applies
Warning: The SGP611 images are not tested, but just built by me, as I do not own the device. But as the two devices are the same except for the 4G Modem, it should work. If not, please let me know.

One question: Aroma restarts the phone before I can flash magisk and encryption breaker. What am I supposed to do about that?
edit: so I turned the phone off after the reboot, went into TWRP and flashed magisk 16 + encryption breaker and rebooted and there was no magisk manager or root. So I used magisk uninstaller and installed supersu, then flashed encryption breaker, rebooted and had supersu there so IDK what I was doing wrong w/ magisk but supersu is working fine

Thanks man, it's so smooth.
I'll definitely be checking it out once it's ready
I really love this Rom. I have installed a bunch of others and this is the one that has it "all." My first install ran slow but I tried again without installing Xposed or any extra addons and it runs great so far (the Full version.) I'm a huge fan of the dark theme with Settings and other Nougat areas in black.
Since I am interested in Xposed I may try some other 7.1.1 Roms when you post them.
Thanks a lot!!
You said you wanted feedback, especially if I tried flashing Extras from non-J700T Roms. So here ya go.
Wycked OS Full version
I have now flashed all the extras except for the 1600 fonts, Flickering fix and Hotspot fix (don't need them.) Everything is working great and my phone is speedy as H-E-double-hockey-sticks! :silly: Had to fix a couple of things though, and one annoyance persists. See below.
Extras I installed:
Boot animations from Experience OS
Viper4Arise (linked from Experience OS)
Samsung Apps (linked from Experience OS)
Samsung Notes
Samsung Optical
Samsung Shealth (needed build.prop fix here)
Xposed v89 sdk25 (only one Module, Xvoice++, for now.)
MultiWindows Popup for Wycked OS(doesn't seem to work. Nothing changed after flashing.)
GRX Touchwiz Mod (from Genisys Rom)
Had to fix:
Touchwiz was crashing every time I tried to go to the Touchwiz settings, or add a wallpaper or widget. So I flashed the GRX Touchwiz Mod from Genisys Rom listed above. That fixed it and now I can change the Touchwiz options.
Not fixed:
Edge was crashing and force-closing every 5 minutes. So I froze it with Titanium backup (froze all System apps that had the word Edge.) I don't care about Edge right now. May try to fix it later by flashing the Edge Panel from Genisys, but it is for Xperience OS so not sure if it will work.
**My keyboard (Samsung or Gboard, doesn't matter) seems off. When I type I need to hit the key a little to the left or the key on the right gets clicked. Very annoying. I tried a Touchscreen Calibration app and it seems slightly better but still not great. On the stock Nougat OS typing was perfect. Anybody else notice this?

Yes I see posts about the problem with Edge in the International threads. I am trying your new Roms now. So I'll let you know if there is still problems.
Thanks a million!
Been using for a couple days now. It feels like all your other TouchWiz based ROMS, however, it is smoother than the previous. Only reason I left it was for Advanced 8_V.
Now flashing stock through Odin as I'm really excited for the Note 8 Android O ROM you and Mr. Duck are working on. Cheers!
THERE WILL BE NO MORE UPDATES HERE!
This thread hasn't been updated in a while as I'm working on mainline support and a kernel 5.10 release for the Note 10.1. There are excellent releases of Android 9+ from @html6405 now and I don't intend on updating this thread. I'll leave everything as is, but don't expect me to view this thread on a regular basis. Most questions are already answered, use the search.
For the new mainline kernel version, please don't ask for any ETAs, there's still some things to be fixed before there will be an official release and I have a normal life to take care off.
If you have experience with kernel / ROM development and want to help me out? Leave me a message, I'd appreciate any helping hand no matter how much you can contribute, every little bit helps. Even looking at the device tree and giving me hints would be great as I would still consider myself being intermediate at best at putting everything together, it's just a lot to dig into with the little time I have.

Hi, I'm currently trying to get this device officially supported again as I really love it and it never let me down in the last 5 or so years. It still works amazingly fast and I have no need to replace it with anything else.
As I'm a Java engineer for my day job there is a lot of new stuff here, I had some contact with C/C++ when I studied CS a couple of years ago but never actually wrote anything bigger than two or three files in these languages. This is quite an adventure and I learned a lot already but I'm open for any help you can offer. After all, I'm doing this for fun and getting better at whatever hits me in the face while doing it.

FAQ
Q: Why another thread?!?
A: The ROM provided by @lirokoa is great but it is based on sources that deviated quite a lot from the official LOS repo, I try to close this gap and get the ROM aligned to the remaining devices based on the SMDK4412 core so that everbody profits from the development going on there. This ultimately means that we can get a 8.x alpha version "soon" after fixing the remaining issues.
Q: How can I help to improve the ROM?
A: If you are a developer, I'd be happy to discuss the remaining issues with you and how to approach/solve them. I'm open for pull requests on Github. If you are testing the ROM and can provide log files for issues this is also a great thing, even more so if it is one of the devices I do not own.
Q: What's up with the performance?
A: Disable Live Display, it's actually not supported by the GPU (or at least by the current driver)
Q: The camera is crashing!
A: Use Open Camera
Q: Wifi attempts to connect but never succeeds!
A: Try reflashing again, including wiping. This usually fixes it.

i couldn't get secretwolf98 version to install on my n8013 so i am keen to see if this one will install for me when the n801x version is ready
There is a new build with basic camera support, the back camera has some issues with recording videos which will crash your camera app. I noticed that activating the torch while having the camera app open in the background/foreground will also crash the camera app, so still some issues there.
The work on the camera will go on after the big party, I wish everyone a good start into 2019
I still use 2 of these and thank you for getting back into it. Using lineage 14.1 now. Will keep watching.
Great. I've just incidentally gone back to this forum after a long time to check if there's any newer ROM than lirokoa's for my N8000
I'll check it out. Thanks a lot
Got it all installed - but can't get over an error code 190 ("can't download app")when trying to install chrome. Unsure if this is rom related or gapps related.
Also flashed the 14.1 su package - works well with the rom as expected. Youtube from the play store does not work - plays audio but no video. Other than that as I play with this I'll see if I can find any other bugs. Really appreciative of you picking this up!
Thank you very much for continuing the development of this tablet!
My N8000 is presently running on lirakoa's latest build lineage-14.1-20170810-UNOFFICIAL-n8000 with open gapps micro and as root solution Magisk 18.0.
Recovery is TWRP 3.02.
Everything is working fine except the well known bugs, and it seems that most of these have been fixed in your latest build.
I've never tried video recording with this tablet but had some camera crashes recently when using the ClearScanner app, in fact it's not usable with this app.
Otherwise I think it's usable as daily driver, and it was.
My daughter used it for university until recently.
So, as far as I understand, your build should be on the same level and I'm gonna try it very soon.
Do you think a dirty flash could work?

Not quite yet, lirokoa put some effort in the ROM and there are probably things that I don't know about yet which are broken. See my last quote above for example. I'm still learning the inner working of the linux kernel and Android which is quite a huge task.

It could work but there is no guarantee as always. There are some changes here and there which can potentially break it.

The 190 issue was fixed with a reflash and and formatting my system. Took 3 times - not sure but I think it was on my end. The youtube however is still at issue. I was able to view in browser w/o issue though. It is just the app. Side loaded a bunch of older APKs of youtube with same result.

It is really good ROM for N8000! But it seems not all video codecs are switched on in assembly. Except YouTube any IPTV application does not work, there is no video in Instagram (the still image of the first frame only) and in browsers many videos cannot be reproduced too.
Samsung SmartThins and Samsung Galaxy Apps application and is not started too. Sadly, as I remember, only from Galaxy Apps can be install the S-Pen application. By the way, somebody knows where to take .apk for Samsung Galaxy Apps? And how to work with the stylus?
Thank you very much for this ROM I'm new here on XDA, however I have recently flash this ROM to my n8013 it's running pretty good, but I have 2 issues so far.
First, I'm having some troubles accessing to my wifi network, I have a Spectrum router which have 2g and 5g but it keep saying that the password may be incorrect, I have try many apps so far changing settings on my router but no success; but when I go with my phone on Hotspot I can get access and establish connection.
I'm also trying to get root access, I already flash the path for LineageOS 14.1 but when I go to developers I can't get access to the manage option. And when I run the root checker app I shows that I don't have root access.
Thanks,

UPD.
Found Samsung Galaxy Apps. It's no S-Pen application too. There is a Google hand-written input. It is possible to cost them also and not to found S-Pen any more.
So, will be great if there is a video's full support and will earn Samsung SmartThins and if earns the IR-port for control of household appliances (now does not work on N8000). After everything it will be a masterpiece!
many thanks for the new build :good:

There is an issue with decoding the video stream but I'm not quite sure what's the root cause yet. Still investigating.
Hi all:
Here is a LineageOS 15.1 ROM for Z5 compact.

This is a 7z archive with the zip'ed rom and the md5 file in it. Please unpack this archive, copy the included two files somewhere to your device, reboot into twrp and flash this zip file. Enable md5sum checking. The zip file itself is not signed, so you have to disable zip verification.

*) Snap is only working with main camera! If you switch to the so called "selfie" camera, the app crashes and can't be restarted any more. If that happens, you have to clear the app storage (long press app -> app info -> clear storage). OpenCamera is working in both modes.
These things are NOT working (don't ask!)
Encryption
FM-Radio (not included)
Maybe some more things are not working.
Use this rom at your own risk! It comes without any warranty! I'm not responsible for any damage! If you don't agree with that, don't try to flash this rom in any way.
Changelog
Berni thank you for your relentless efforts!!!!!

This is amazing! Thank you. Hope the SMS and Camera functionality issues eventually get sorted out soon.

I've lost my hope completely! I know there are brilliant developers around here, but kitakami is more than dead and no one (except me  ) spends any time on it...
But this is a real good working device and I can't understand why I should change it!

I know that xda-users has collected money and buying a phone to a developer to make everything work.
(Like this thread:

)
As I don't can contribute to get any of the issues to work, I can contribute with some money in this case.
I don't know any developer who would accept this deal though.
Just an idea.
Please don't give up, now that you are so close.

I know some dev's. If they would accept such a deal? I don't know. But they have definitely buried kitakami!

Same here!
I've been at some phone dealers the past week to have a look to other/newer devices and I talked with many people about that and what I want and need!
The first idea was a xz2c (or much cheaper!) a xz1c. But everybody told me not to buy one of these devices! They aren't as good as older devices, like our z5c!
The second idea was (don't laugh!) an iPhone 8! A friend of mine gave me his used iPhone 6 to play around with it.
But, that's not my world!
I can't get access to the filesystem!
I can't copy a file from/to my computer simply by connecting the device via usb cable. I always have to use this fuc*** piece of malware named iTunes to copy something (only pictures i.e.)
So I decided to stay with my z5c as long as it will live! :good:
error 7 !!! , i use twrp 3.1.1-0
I edit, updated to 3.2.1 and correct. Rom promising, you only need to have a network for calls. Very agile and smooth

The z5 compact is the perfect classic to develop Berni, thank you for your dedication!)
I also will not give up until I make google pay work (HCE driver support in lineageos).

I don't understand! Is voice calling not working? Didn't made a voice call the last few days...
But I'll use this rom for a while now for testing purposes...

What about battery live? As long as I see, the battery drains faster than with los 14.1..
I'm sorry I can not answer that. I was not able to connect to the voice network and I need the suzuran jijiji. It becomes strange the "no use" of opengapps, but use titanium backup or to recover several apk and everything was correct, until WhatsApp. I am waiting to put voice network to give it a second chance. Regarding being able to make calls, the settings tell me what company I have, I can use mobile data, but the sim is not registered in the network. I have used * # * # info ... to see what happened and did not register in the tests. Normally, other rom give the option of downloading from your provider the configuration of the network, but I have not found that option, and if I search for a network manually, no results are displayed. I'm sorry I did not persist in the tests.

You're right! Thats'.... weird! I swear, that has worked in the past!
There is actually a data connection but no voice connection (see screenshot [in german]) And the signal strength is not ok too.
I'm actually building a new version and I'll see if this error is gone...

Oh, you can use GApps! But as I said, weird thing may happen! For example, you can't access the settings to (de)activate bluetooth or nfc. The system crashes immediately with a kernel panic, the led flashes red and the system restarts!

You can fetch apk's with yalpstore too!
Workaround for this issue:
"Play" a little bit with the "Set preferred network type" in "Phone info" in the *#*#info#*#* part. When setting it to "LTE/UMTS auto (PRL)" or "LTE/CDMA auto (PRL)" or "LTE/WCDMA auto (PRL)" (or like this) I can connect to the network...
...but only for one single outgoing phone call... :cyclops:
I know, this is far away from beeing satisfying, but I don't have another idea in the moment...
Give it hard, thanks for your time. I'm still looking for new things to test....:good:
There is a guy that managed to make the camera work (but with low quality).
If he gives the rom to berni and he takes a look at it, we might have a fully working oreo rom.
I already tagged him in a few places, let's cross our fingers

See my answer in the general Z5 oreo thread...
Little bug discovered:
if you go into the "printing services" section and click on the default one that's enabled, the phone crashes.
Maybe it happens with custom ones as well, have to test that
Edit:
Another bug, if you enable the long press of the Power button to turn on the flashlight the phone reboots.
This is probably because of the non working torch/camera tho
Edit 2:
Night Light isn't working

Never used that! With LineageOS 14.1 nothing crashes...

Holy s**t you actually did it. I thought the Z5c is never getting Oreo. I applaud you for this. Looking forward to a more usable version in the future
