First of all im new to android world, i was iPhone user for many years but after the (X failure) i bought note 8 and i must say android is amazing and i will never go back to brain dead apple .
So here's my situation:
I need to root my device to be able to use an app called ( sixaxis controller ) so i can connect ps4 controller to my note 8 ( im aware thers other ways to connect controller but i need this one ) .
I searched alot but couldn't decide how to root it , i also used the one touch root apps that doesn't require pc like kingroot but at kingroot it stuck at 1% and never go up .
The (sixaxis) app is the only reason that i want to root and probably the only thing ill be using root for .
So can some dummed down for me the best ways to root and what to use ?

Merry xmas all!
So, a mate give me a 520 to play around with. Very new to WP but with bootloader unlocking and root access I couldnt help myself but to have a looksy.
I have a few Q's though so bear with me, Android is my daily so WP is a whole new world
The 520s currently on update 2 using the registry hack. I presume I should start by downgrading to the Update 1 stock ffu?
Now, if I unlock the bootloader and enable MTP etc with WPI can I still go ahead and use the same trick to get back to Update 2 afterwards seeing as there is no Update 2 ffu available? Would this relock the bootloader?
In regards to the interop thingy, I cant seem to find the best info. One post I found had MixRadio trick in it but MixRadio is not on the store for me.
Basically, what Im trying to accomplish is to have Update 2 with an unlocked bootloader with an app (WPTweaker?) that can do a few visual mods like 3 livetile rows etc I see on the videos. Just something to have a little play with for my first WP
Im guessing WP8 isnt as developed as the old WM5 days with apps like reg editors and file explorers a plenty as I dont seem to see a lot of them around, Im taking it things arent as simple as the old days of running a .cab. Any tips or threads I should e looking at?

Quick update.
Flashed back to the stock ffu, unlocked bootloader and gained root
Stock ffu had Nokia MixRadio installed so am going to look at that later
Still getting my head around the app side of it though, what I can do now is deploy using WPSDK with root but can I also do this directly from the device in a file explorer?

i have been wondering and searching for quite some time on scenario when you lost/misplaced your rooted phone and want to have piece of mind knowing for sure whoever find it can not access your personal data. is there such an apps/utility/setting that will enable us to do so ? on unrooted phone we have frp lock and google lock. since we rooted our phone those 2 features are no longer able to stop anyone to get into recovery mode and do whatever they want.
i found a topic of twrp password protection https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software-hacking/twrp-password-protection-thread-t2990816 but is not fruitful according to devs.
any of you have been thinking the same with me ? what did you do ?

I wish i could find help from any 1 here, who has knowledge on how i can root this phone, I've attached apic below,....so that i can install on it android 12 OS, is there any1 with the necessary skills thatbcan help me do it, i hv searched the web but failed to just even root the phn, i don't know wetha because it's a Chinese model and that some how its difficult to do it...i help help,
I tried putting Hormony Os but, some Google apps like gmail n others like Linkin will not have Dark mode amd believe me, it doesn't mata how much you update those apps, dark mode will not work and when i restored back to android 10 it's been hvn, the apps worked fine with dark mode

I found Samsung A71 it was with pi n the screen so I factry reset it entering on recvery modebut when starts on the first boot it ask me google account or pin .I have seen many way to bypass all but n successfull.(the problem is that I'm lcked n the pin or gogle email and ls if I connect the handy to computer (I tryied with windw 7 and windows 10) the handy is not detected.Maybe there is a way with download mode and odin?
Woundering if I install with odino going on download mode and I install new firmware (different) I wll sort ut everythng or not?
Any other soution for who is not very keen on teknolog as me?

PS:I just see the cable f my handy is nt full cmpatible with cmputer maybe is that why all app i tryied dsent work and computer dsent recognise the A71 with viden nline withut cmputer I was not able to unlck can I use/install smehng on dwnload mode to bypass it?
Allways trying to remove and restart the Samsung n 71 at the final I was able to ,after restoring and delating everything to download n pk tht will remove/baypass pin and gogle account but...that is an apk file s I hve the message to disable security to install the app I need
I supose the nly way is to istl somehow an app frm the store (lso samsung stre) that I cn instll without having problems or maybe ls an apk but must be a signed app.
Any idea?Maybe will be mre easy to cnnect the samsung s71 t computer but I'm afraid that the cable dat that I have of my note 20 ultra is not full cmpatible with my samsung 71 that is why my cmputer dosent recognise the handy

I have a problem.
I have reset my samsung A 71 but it stucks on request pin/or email gogle that I dont rememabr I tryied many videos how to bypass frp bur I must install apk (and I cant do that f I dont allow the apk instllations files (and is ipssibl after resetting it) nd if cnnect my phone to the computer the notebook will not recognise it s I need to ctive developen ption (anther impssibol thing to do after resetting frm recovery the hndy.
Maybe a solution will be to downgrade t an old version (stock) of android so the hndy will restart and I will cler the memory of knox?
If I cnnect the handy t pc n dwnload mode can hear a noise as if the pc detectedthe handy.D u think that will be possibol and dont need any tpw r other sort of things just the original stock firmware of android 10?
Any other sotutions a (maybe) root it,then clear everything in memory and then unroot it?
Any help will be realy apreciated!

Instead of contact the police to try to track the owner you grab a phone that you never bough and now try to hack on it?

3 option) I got it secnd hand frn ebay,refurbed or any other web site resell and after resetting I got this problem

Yea option 1.
Also if it was option 2..
Just contact google and reset your password (remember, lock screen password has nothing to do with google account).
Option 3.. 2nd hand phones and specially refurbished are wiped and ready to go. Just contact the seller if not.
And you bet i was rude, you start a topic here telling that you FOUND a phone (so it isn't yours) and as i said, if it's your Samsung/Google Account, reset a password is easy. As is to send it back to Samsung and/or the seller if someone sold you a locked phone.
You wonder why no one replied to you? Everyone knows your "acquiring" of the phone is at least shady and seek help to unlock a phone (yours or not) that you can't access is illegal, even on the forum rules.

I'm done rooting redmi 9C,
Need help on removing some apk
*Specifically miaccount related apk*
But keep getting error in twrp log while try to remove the apk using twrp recovery
Known issue is because "\system" is read-only
*tried untick box "mount system as read only" but it will not let me tick box to mount \system *
Tried some guide possible solution but non success
Any help appreciated

Back story
This is family phone ( redmi 9c ), I used to fix some other old model phones with success, guess this is some hard security to bypass for new gen phone, unfortunately this phone was used by old aunt who doesnt know anything tech related, she forgot her email, and no access to her old phone number (also not remembering it), just needed this phone to operate without mi account protection so she can use it on daily basis. She asked me to format as the phone feel slow, I didnt ask much just do the factory hard reset and on next reboot after connecting wifi, mi account locked is there and I was kinda suprised at first. Try getting some information out of my aunt but old people tend to forget.
I know some might think it was stolen, I myself will not deal if it was a stolen phone. Family member need my help, so I try my best to fulfill.
