[Q] Unlocking the bootloader on AME-XXX

Hi,
I've got the international version of the Optimus 4X HD, bought online in the U.S.
It has been recently updated to V20c - the software version code is P88020c-AME-XXX.
Can I use the same unlock procedure for the EUR-XXX models, or do I need to flash EUR-XXX before attempting to unlock?
I had no troubles rooting the phone by following the instructions in this thread.

EUR-XXX worked for my ESA-XXX. It will work for you, if you have bootloader unlock check in hidden menu. You may have fastboot problem, so be ready with correct driver and correct method.
Refer to this thread if stuck on red colored Download mode for long time and no response-

Alright, thanks for the fast response.
The hidden menu indeed has the bootloader unlock check.
I'll report back once I try it.

got a similar AME-XXX, were u able to unlock the bootloader with the EUR-XXX method??

I have a LG P88020C-AME-XXX firmware and was able to unlock the bootloeader using this thread [http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38953792]. Hope it helps.:good: Be kind enough to ask the these guys at XDA cause they'll be glad to help.:good:

I have AME-XXX as well - works fine.

yeah, i used the "unlock apk" method, quite simple an fast

I took me some to check, but now I can verify it works fine.

It worked with me OK ,, took some time to follow posts & see a youtube video to get the whole Idea , but then it was very easy.

Hi,
I've LG P880 S/W 020c-AME-XXX , Build# JZ054K and Android.4.1.2, I want to root my phone, every method I try does nothing, bricks my phone.
Can you please include the necessary files and procedure as how you were able to root the same.
I've been trying since ages. I'm a newbie. Please!

Hi guys...
Does someone have a s3 mini GT-18190N, and it success to root or unlock?
Better to say, i need to unlock my phone, how to do it?
On the other way, If there is not a free way to unlock phone, IF then I root and put some custom rom on my phone will it be unlocked by default?
And the final question, does custom roms (on this site) also working for my gt-18190N version or just for GT-18190 ???

i suppose u are talking about Sim Unlock? right?
and not bootloader unlock,
normally just unlock means to unloack bootloader to be able to flash custom recowery, thatway you can also root and install custom roms....
sim unlock on the other hands, you can do it also without root etc... but you need code from your operator, or u have to purchase one online cca 20$
and i have no idea if there is other way, or if anybodes did it...

Nokia 2 TA-1007 NZ need firmware

Good afternoon,
i did an silly little thing without thinking, and flashed a nokia 2 with another O/S version without unlocking the bootloader from developer mode,
i was on Build NO 00WW_0_55B - as now it says your phone has an different o/s installed shutting down in 30 seconds,
is there anyway to unlock the phone again or is there an link or something with the 0_55B firmware i cant seem to find it this it for NZ...
i can still get into download mode so i can reflash, but i cant get into hard reset recovery mode....
can someone help please

Well, you can flash E1M-037C to revert to previous version, which can be found in Nokia 8 forum.

I am Looking for Nokia 2 TA-1007 firmware too. please help. I have two phones which need firmware re installed.

Have you been able to find the solution?

I was unable to find E1M-037C on Nokia 8 forum, could you kindly provide a link of a trusted one? Will it work with TA-1007?

Hello everyone, i have one question..i've posted on some posts but didnt get any answer, so i have to start new post.
I have updated my Mi A2, via OTA to Android Pie, after that i have unlocked bootloader and root it (installed Magisk).
And now, i would like to install MIUI 10.
Is it possible and what is the right way for that, has anyone tried?

Yes it's possible, just follow the guide to install MIUI 10, I did it without problems.

Thanks mate, I have one more question.. How did you get into EDL mode, i have tried many ways but no one was succesfull.

I have tried that but i got message like on screen..
And i have unlocked bootloader, and warning message at boot.

Did you unlock the bootloader critical? If not, that's the problem

If you have unlocked bootloader and critical partition flashing, and still have problems to enter EDL mode, try on another PC and USB 2.0 port.

I did it, thanks all for help. I haven unlocked bootloader critical, and that was solution. Thanks one more time! Cheers!

Hi everyone,
I received the 7s pro tuesday , already unlock bootloader ( first thing out of the box )
Now I would like to Root this badboy , but I'm missing the boot.img , anyone has find a firmware for this phone or do we need to wait for the next one ?
I didn't find cn firmware but a boot.img from the cn would work or would brick the phone ?

Hey I am on the same page, bootloader unlocked but can't find the stock rom, has anyone been able to find it?

You can actually find the firmwares for the Redmagic 7S Pro in the support section, find the one you need then to get the boot.img you can extract the payload.bin to get it.
You will also lose the fingerprint reader calibration data after bootloader unlocking but I reckon you already know that by now.
