Hey guys,
I have a samsung note 9 unlocked that i purchased from bestbuy. I noticed that the default samsung calendar does not sync automatically with my google calendar. I have to manually sync it to make it updated. If i leave it for more than 24 hours it still doesnt auto sync. I have auto sync turned on in my settings so my emails and everything come automatically from gmail but it seems to an issue specifically with the default samsung calendar. I even reset the calendar app but clearing all the data but the issue persists. I did see a message randomly saying,"you're calender is not set to auto sync or something'' but i never saw it again. On my google account all the settings are set to auto sync. Any help or advice on this?

Did you find a solution to this problem I just started to experience the same issue.

I was on Darky's 10.1 rom when this first started and just updated to 10.2 and it looks like the glitch is still there. Usually I leave autosync off to conserve battery life but now I've left it on so Gmail and my contacts stay synced with my Google account. The weird thing that started occurring is that each of my contacts get copied multiple times after autosync happens. So I get about 6 entries for each contact. What I've been doing is signing on to my Gmail account and then going to "action" and merging duplicate contacts and then manually syncing the contacts on my phone, which corrects the problem. However! When auto sync kicks in again, the same thing happens. Has anyone else came across this problem?
I'm running Nova HD Plus RC6-15 on my LG O2X.
I noticed that my calendar isn't syncing. It's completely empty on my LG O2X.
So I checked the account & sync status and it had syncing errors on the browser and calendar.
Removed the account. Added it again. Sync started but still no data in my calendar. Gmail is working just fine.
When I go to Calendars in the app and click on the button to choose which calendars to sync it crashes (calendar is stopped).
The thing that strikes me is that under synchronization settings there are several syncs running: Browser, Contacts, Documents etc. All doing fine. The one that isn't working is the Calendar but the name is off. It's called com.android.calendar sync whereas the others have proper names.
Is my calendar app corrupted or something? Is there a way to fix that?
The other thing I noticed is that the mobile version of my google Calendar is empty as well. When I switch to the desktop version I can see the data.
Bit of a weird problem so all help and ideas are appreciated!
Solved my own problem by checken loads of other calendar sync topics.
Found this one somewhere, and it works!
To everyone with sync problems (calendar). when installing CM9 you have to first flash the rom then gapps AND BEFORE YOU REBOOT WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET. This will fix calendar sync.

When I got the HTC One the other day, I was using Google Calendar as the default calendar so I thought once I synced the calendar on the HTC One with the Google calendar I would have everything but that doesn't seem to be the case. Also have Pocket Informant calendar installed and that has the same problem. Events for last month and this month and some recurring birthdays are there and also the current month but nothing else. Is there a way to get previous events reloaded in? The events are the main thing. They are all on the Google calendar when I look at the web page.
Tried installing Calengoo, another calendar program, and told it to sync to Google calendar and it syncs everything going back several years. But in the native calendar that comes with the HTC One and PI I only get the current month and recurring dates like birthdays.
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling PI. Oddly enough when I uninstalled it the phone rebooted. When I reinstalled it everything was gone. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
I notice too that HTC Sync is turned off and there's no option to turn it on again. Don't know if this is related.
______________
settings>account>gmail account> check if calendar is checked
Yes, it's checked. This may be a tough one.
mhhh then try to remove that account and re-add it
You may have meant remove the mail account. There's no calendar account. Since HTC Sync seemed to be messed up, I removed that, but there doesn't seem to be anywhere to add it back. Now it's gone and there's no account add under accounts and sync. Can't find it in the play store either.
I know I asked this before but every since I updated to 4.4 my gmail sync has been painfully slow. Once in a while I'll get an instant notification other times I'll have to wait upwards of 5 minutes for it to come through. I didn't have this issue on 4.3. All I noticed when I checked the sync settings is that the sync icon was stuck on gmail and I had to manually refresh it. Does anyone have any suggestions. I already cleared the data and rebooted but there is no change.

All those are fine. I'll send a test email and it will be instant but if I repeat it I'll have to wait 5+ minutes for it to come up again.
Mine Is Just Slow To Sync
My issue is similar, but different. My Gmail app on my phone is not syncing (or at least it takes forever) to sync with the Gmail itself.
If I delete 10 messages from my phone (Gmail) then go to a computer and visit my Gmail account via a web browser, the messages are still there.
I'm running HTC One. 4.4 Kit Kat Seems to have started around the time I upgraded. I also have a Google Apps domain, not straight Gmail. But we all know Google Apps mail is just Gmail with your own domain name.
Anyone else having this issue?
DISREGARD, I RESOLVED BY: FORCE STOPPING MAIL APP, CLEAR DATA. THEN RECONFIG CLIENT/APP.
I have a corporate account (exchange). I sync only contacts and calendar for this account, no e-mails. Sync frequency is set to automatic (push). The problem is that the calendar is not synced automatically i.e. new appointments don't show up until I refresh the calendar manually. I already tried to clear cache/data of calendar app and account removal and addition, nothing helped. Does anybody else have such issue?
Apparently a known 4.4 issue... I've read anyway. Use search and find them... Maybe they found solutions?

is a problem with 4.4. 4.4.1 and 4.4.2 address "all" exchange issues. check your corporate account settings (settings menu). mine sits on "synching now" and never syncs. generally if i uncheck which one isn't synching, get out and get back in, it syncs fine.
check the OWA logs

My Exchange account was also stuck at syncing. I went in via the browser/OWA and enabled logging on my MotoX Exchange connection and found errors. The errors were with syncing contacts that had birthdays. Reading the 4.4.1 change-log it appears that this one issue (and many other exchange issues) are resolved. I removed birthdays from my contacts and things started to sync again.
hope this helps :good:
my exchange on 4.4 didnt work. reverted back to 4.2.2 all good now
