I have this gross problem with my Note 9's messages app.
It seems to stutter when sending messages.
Here is a video of what I am referring to.
Does anyone else have this issue? Anyone know how to fix?
https://youtu.be/y_fiNaLQ7dQ
(This video was taken from a Note 10 but the issue is exactly the same)
Thanks!
No stuttering here.

Yep N960USQU1ARJ7, my message version is 5.0.40.12. Sprint
I removed bloat but i doubt that has anything to do with the stutters and im running a substratum theme.

If you are using a different launcher switch back to the stock Samsung one and see if that helps.
If you are not then switch back to the default theme on your device. There is a chance that the theme, which you are using is causing the issue.

Using stock launcher and not using themes.
Back up your device. Wipe the cache partition in Recovery Mode and perform a hard factory restore.

You can start by debloating your GS5. See thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2783809
Lag
After I performed the root my S5 is incredibly laggy. Like 10 seconds before the screen comes back on after a time out.
Adfree by bigtincan was my first stop back in rootland.
Also better battery stats to track whats eating my battery on occasion.
Later on after I get some rest I plan on debloating. Thats all there really is to root, its not that big of a deal but its nice.

I highly doubt that, but I'd factory reset the phone and start over if I were you.
As far as what to do next?
Titanium Backup
Xposed Mod
Greenify
Textdroider_DPI
etc
Did anyone confirm xposed works on this phone?

SDfix app finally works now that we got root , was so annoying when google decided to disable SDcard writes for 3rd party apps.
Once you run sdfix you need to restart your phone for the fix to take place.
I have no reason to lie, and did a factory reset. Seemed to fix the issue.

I don't think you are lying, I just doubt it's that bad. I'm glad it got fixed. :good:
Seriously it was like 10 seconds. Every app I tried to use would time out and the wait/close box would pop up.

I noticed some initial lag after getting xposed running, but I've got my theories on what is causing it.

it was working till last week and on mashmallow MID Firmware. after launch of KSA region Mashmallow, i have flashed that. then i installed package disabler pro apk. then i disabled some bloatware's...
from next day my phone does't show 4g. only 3g is showing..
my carrier is Mobily KSA.
settings and APN are correct.
Have you tried going back to KSA MM with a fresh install (factory reset)? That will see if your subsequent steps caused the issue? If not, perhaps try dirty flashing MID to see if that cures it?

The 3 other carriers were eligible for the nougat beta, and only At&t was left out. Anyone else switch to the tmobile firmware to try and participate? Or any other carriers firmware?
I have another thread on this topic : http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-s7-edge/help/android-7-0-1-beta-t3496624
Someone on my thread said that they tried flashing the T-mobile firmware and they are no longer accepting people to beta test nougat so there is no option for us.
I managed to install the tmobile firmware, get registered, now it's just a waiting game. I can try and get the Ota from my system and upload it, sprint already has theirs extracted and vzw hasn't even rolled out yet.

Who knows. I'd like to be an optimist here and say they already have the nougat working perfectly on the AT&T version there for no beta testing needed :fingers-crossed:
Verizon just stopped participation in the Beta. So no more Beta updates moving forward for Big Red.
