still havent forgotten ill take care of it today, promise! sorry for the delay, my week was just super tiring!

aaalright, youve waited long enough, here are my accumulated battery and usage data so far
data is based on LOS 14.1 by xuefer and MSM Xtended v9.5 by brother @Jay_B. These statistics represent a total usage time of 326 days or 10.7 months. during that time my battery capacity went from a start value of 5352 mAh to 5163 mAh, translating into a loss of 189 mAh total (or 3.5% total capacity less). this again means that per 100% charging cycle ive lost about 1.7 mAh or about 0.6 mAh per day of usage.
now lets get into the details of these two roms.
LOS 14.1 (Nougat 7.1.2) by xuefer
Avg. Battery capacity = 5290 mAh
Avg. charging time (0-100 %) = 3h34m (24.7 mAh/min)
Avg. charging amperage = 1502 mA
Avg. total usage time (100-0%) = 75.8 h (70 mAh/h)
Avg. total SOT (100-0%) = 17h39m (300 mAh/h)
Avg. Battery usage (Screen on) = 4.8%/h (254 mAh/h)
Avg. Battery usage (Screen off) = 0.3%/h (16 mAh/h)
MSM Xtended v9.5 (Oreo 8.1.0)
Avg. Battery capacity = 5205 mAh
Avg. charging time (0-100 %) = 4h29m ( 19.3 mAh/min)
Avg. charging amperage = 1166 mA
Avg. total usage time (100-0%) = 51.0 h (102 mAh/h)
Avg. total SOT (100-0%) = 15h56m (327 mAh/h)
Avg. Battery usage (Screen on) = 6.0%/h (312 mAh/h)
Avg. Battery usage (Screen off) = 0.2%/h (10 mAh/h)
What can we see looking at this data?
Charging: LOS 14.1 has on average a 29% higher charging amperage and thus a total charging cycle takes around 55 minutes less than on MSM Xtended
Usage time & SOT:: LOS 14.1 provides both higher total usage and screen on times at +24.8h and +1h43m, respectively. Although be aware that differing usage patterns affect these values heavily!
Battery usage: Interestingly, LOS seems to have about 20% lower battery consumption when screen is on, but MSM Xtended is the standby champ here, with a whopping 38% lower standby battery consumption.
there you go, hope this helps! lets see what kinda stats android pie will bring

On my use, @bneo99's 14.1 build seems to be even little bit better than @xuefer's rom battery wise, i have 20180928 build currently installed. Though i have two Mi Max 2s and roms are in different units, could be also something hardware side.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-max-2/development/rom-lineageos-14-1-bneo99-t3821533

for me miui 10 battery performance is good, now i using miui 10 dev beta

ArrowOs pie is giving good battery backup. and it is almost bugless.
See SS below.

LOS is undoubtedly the best ROM for battery.
Since we now have many pie ROMs, which is the best pie ROM in terms of battery life?

Screen on time

It's amazing how much we actually use our phones in a given day, especially when we watch "videos"! Rate this thread to express how many hours of screen-on time you can get on the LeEco Le Pro3 before depleting the battery.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
With heavy gaming you get around 4 hours SOT with custom ROM. Stock ROM get 5 hours SOT
Sent from my YT-X703F using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Never noticed this sub-section haha. This is from stock, about 6 months ago. I only charge up to 60% now, so I don't have any recent screenshots that start near 90-100.
Stock based rom. Almost 2 days unpluged, mainly light usage, some gps and camera. Cannot even come close to this on any cm or aosp based rom.
Stock rom 23S 2 days or more with light to medium usage no games just internet, socials app, youtube etc. I have few phones the Pro 3 is the fastest for day to day use, loading apps quickly I got the 6Gb ram/64Gb rom version.
Omni 20170820. I get about 9+ hours of SOT with using GhostPepper governor. About 60 ~ 75 min. for 10% of battery and idle drain eating the rest.

You people have to remember that there's TWO versions of Le Pro 3.. one with 4gb ram... other 6gb ram... there's a HUGE gap between those two models regarding battery life IMHO...

Unlike.. 2gb more ram hogs more battery as it asks the CPU more things to do and stuff (I'm not the guy to explain it hahah).. but do you think a (supposed) 16gb ram mobile can't hog more battery? Think about that

If you want great battery life buy phone with Snapdragon 625, every day use is plenty fast, fine, simlar to Sd820/821. Xiaomi phone is ok they have few with Sd625.

This "HUGE" gap is theoretically 5% mentiond by Qualcomm itself if you cmp the sd820 with the 821.. That isn't huge but still 0.5/10th of the battery life, depending on how well the rom has been ported and optimized.
For the stock rom, it will probably last. But if you don't like the iOS clone design of android that runs on it well, a custom rom isn't going to beat it anytime soon unfortunately..
Omnirom 20171018 + Black Screen Kernel v3.6.1 + Ex Kernel Manager (alucard governor, I/O is noop, perfd is disabled)

GhostPepper 2.0 as Advanced Governor Profile. There are better battery saving profiles but I find GP2.0 to be the smoothest while proving excellent battery life.
Autostarts to unlink unnecessary event trigger.
Greenify to force certain misbehaving apps to sleep instead of sucking up battery background.
Forcedoze to further force doze but I am not sure if it is useful at this point. I am considering to uninstall it.
Underclock to 1516 and 1900mhz. I do not use heavy apps so it works for me.
I also use battery in 40 ~ 80% range so after a full year of use, my battery is in good shape. I only charge up to 90~100% when I'm traveling.

Stock Omni kernel. I've been on 0820 build/kernel as versions after it gave me worse battery life. Then I recently updated rom to the latest one due to KRACK. I noticed that the kernel is still draining more battery so I flashed 0820 kernel.
Now, my understanding is that battery drain is function of kernel, not rom. But with latest rom and 0820 kernel setting, I am seeing significantly higher battery usage. It could be some other factor so I am in test mode now.
Battery stats bug? Big core battery stats in EX Kernel Manager. Never had that issue on 0820 but with latest version, I do see it.

I gave Black Screen Kernel and Alucard governor a try after reading your post. Though it is too early to draw a call, it seems to be slightly better than GhostPepper tweak. It is very very good.
Ive Got LineageOS 14.1 and latest BlackScreen, but my SOT is between 5-5.30h :[
Im using ondemand cpu governor on big cores and schetudil on small ones.
GPU governor is simple_ondemand, I/O is set as Noop, there is also low memory killer set as agressive.
Im also using Greenify (without shallow Hibernation).
Im thinking that Its not good score for my settings. What should, i change?
Thanks!
I reached 9 hours sot without akt or anything else. Just the banggood's 20s rom. I am pretty impressed.
I have the elite x722. Sorry.
Don't normally go past 7 hours , system service always seems to drain my battery

There will be better to come soon for this phone, once the custom ROMs start rolling in.
The Mi Max 2 using the latest Xtended ROM and then tweaked with the Oreo Hardrock kernel is getting 18hrs SOT.
Xiaomi are awesome!!
I'm getting 6hrs and 15 min SOT at 50%, with 24 hrs on the battery , this is with miui eu 8.8.9 rooted , 40% brightness, and clever connectivity turning off wifi and data when screen is off
I'm getting about 13h 20min SOT at home (WiFi turned on, Mobile data turned off). It takes about 59 hours total to go from 100% to 0%. Best battery ever!

you should stop caring about that 27 hours SOT. The way you are using your phone will define how many SOT that you have.
He mostly read Ebooks, that result does not surprise me. You could get that SOT as well if you just use your phone to read Ebooks with the medium brightness.

The battery consumption does depend on the time viewed/used ... Agreed; But it also depends on the brightness used while viewing videos which depends person to person.
I can relate to it as I have noticed improvements in SOT after disabling adaptive brightness and keeping it fixed to 25% brightness for all tasks

Question Battery drain and actual battery of Redmi Note 10 Pro/Max MIUI13 v13.0.3.0

Hi, I have purchased a new Redmi note 10 pro but the battery seems to be draining relatively fast. I am on MiUi 13.0.3.0 update. There are some screenshots attached of the battery page. Also I was able to find the Actual Battery Capacity: 4997 mah. Can anyone please confirm that this is normal or not?
What is the over night battery drain percentage? And how much screen on time do you get in one full charge (100%-0%).
I bought a new device 4 days back. I'm on the latest miui 13. I checked on accubattery and saw the actual capacity to be 4700 but that app has been notorious for incorrect measurements.
1. I'd like to know what app you are using to get the actual capacity
2. I can't say how much your drain is from the SS. I can tell my experience. Im getting around 7-8 SOT % with 120hz. Overnight drain is under 3-4% max. I have debloated the OS as well so that might help as well.
