centre clock mod for Oreo? - Sony Xperia XZ2 Questions & Answers

i know existenz rom will have it, but since it is taking time... plus, i need this single (simple?) fix, so flashing a whole new rom for only that is not worth it maybe...
btw, could someone help with a mod for centering the clock in latest sony oreo fw? and possibly also show the date in status bar?
afaik substratum is not working in sony oreo, neither xposed does, so I think you can do that only modifying systemUI, but I wouldn't know where to start... anyone willing to help? it would be a wonderful mod! :fingers-crossed::angel:

What mods are you trying to install? I can tell you that some modifications don't like Sony firmwares... And that could probably be the cause.

SoftkeyZ was working for me on Android 4.4 CyanogenMod, so it probably has not been made to work with Sony firmware. And for the second mod, you already have the answer. It is only compatible with Android 4.4 and causes a system crash when installed on Android 4.3.
Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do.. Unless you know how to modify SystemUI and change the icons or port the Xperia Keyboard to android 4.3.
But, if you really want these mods, then install Android 4.4 CyanogenMod because it is compatible with a lot more Xposed mods and other applications..

You don't necessarily need to unlock bootloader to install custom rom, but I would personally suggest you to stay away from installing a custom rom if you have never done so earlier on any other phone and you aren't really an advanced user. Sony's 4.3 is quite good if you are lucky enough not to face lags. I would like to suggest some good modules for sony firmware which you might want to try out -
1) GEM Xperia xposed
2) Flat style coloured bars (for lollipop styled statusbar and navigation bar colouring)
3) GravityBox (you need to be a bit careful with this one)
4) Hide stamina mode icon
5) SEMC phone patcher
6) Xperia flip settings (replaces xperia toggles in statusbar with cyanogenmod styled ones)
Don't forget to read the module description before installing to understand what it does. Enjoy (Y)

[Q] various about lockscreen

I guys I googled already but couldn't find solutions to my "problems"... hope you can help.
first of all I'm on stock latest fw .77. I would like to remove the xperia lockscreen and get it replaced by the aosp one, but couldn't do that. in the past, in sony 4.3 fw, there was an apk in /system/app that could be easily removed to get aosp lockscreen, now I don't see that apk anymore (xperialockscreen.apk or something like that.. tried removing keyguard.apk but then I don't have any lockscreen at all anymore).
so I tried xperia xposed by @serajr , and I can then replace the sony lockscreen with a sort of aosp one, but not really the aosp one, as I get 3 unlock shortcuts I don't need at all (search etc) and I can't change them via gravity box do you know how to get the pure aosp kk lockscreen?
other thing, while I am still on the xperia lockscreen, I would like to find a way to hide the "swipe to unlock" text... what I found so far is only for older sony fw, not for the latest kk one.... do you know if that is something already done by someone so I won't need to decompile, recompile etc?
edit:this one fixed thanks to @Gustavo RD78 's mod
TIA!!!
dunno how exactly, but sometimes in aosp lockscreen I could see the custom shortcuts I did set up in GB, sometimes not, only the 3 icons (search, mute, unlock).
problem is that even when I could see the custom shortcuts, they were not active, I mean unlocking the phone through those custom shortcuts did nothing, and could not unlock the screen anymore... really can't understand why sometimes I see them and sometimes not
well installed this great app that has all I need... great!!!

If you want to change icons easly just use nova launcher, for flat status bar install an EMUI Android N theme.
1. Xposed works
2. Emui Android N theme
3. Use another Launcher with Icon pack
Everything is solved

[app] [xposed module] [share] flat style coloured status bar indicators

Now a days i am just searching for great mods for our beloved one plus one because i am highly satisfied for resurrection remix android M rom. (don't want to flash new roms and bored as flashholic)
When ever i got something interesting i am sharing it here.
Though some people's already aware of such mods but some will don't know thats why i always share it here.
This is xposed module to change most of icons in status bar, their colors, their position in stausbar.
This mod helps u to vastly customize aspects of stausbar icons.
Warning : this mod will work on any roms but specifically works on AOSP roms without any conflicts. People's using custom roms may give some conflicts ( u have to adjust them manually to avoid conflicts)
U have to just download the module
Activate it in xposed app
Reboot
Then u can change statusbar icons on the go mode..
? cheers
