Hi ! My new mi8 shows also capacity battery between 3050 and 3150 mah... That's quite far from 3400mah?

Mine is showing 3400mah. Using the latest Havoc OS Rom.

Does 3000mAh Battery Is Enough ?

Hi everyOne!
We all know That the previous version ie., oneplus two has 3300mAh ,
But Oneplus 3 has only 3000mAh battery . Is It Enough ??
Does The battery Life Will be Good ?
I'm sure it's enough, like the battery size on the Nexus 5X.... but it's not great.
The cpu, gpu and the amoled screen use so much less power than the previous one that i thing if you compare the smaller battery had a longer standby/using time than the op2

Got the phone .
Getting sot around 3.5hrs only
The battery needs a couple of charges to level out and reach its peak mate
Am I the only one impressed with the 53 minutes charge from 2% to 98% that I saw on youtube ?
Who needs a bigger battery if you can get 3 more hours SOT in just 30 mins or 4-5 hours SOT in under 1 hour charge ?
I'm also wondering how the battery performs in a few cycles.
Only very few people would need more, given that VOOC/Dash Charge also works perfect when you charge the phone while using it.
The only 'issue' is that you need Oneplus own chargers/carchargers + Oneplus own cables for every spot where you charge. I hope they release a powerbank that supports Dash Charging in the (near) future.
Yes, it's enough with SD820
I have got an A3000 (Chinese version. I'm Chinese).
I use the browser and text chat with friends for more than 6hrs before use up the battery.
So I would say it's enough for daily use.
Would be interesting which apps you are using. Is gaming involved?
---------- Post added at 10:24 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:23 AM ----------
How did you setup screen brightness?
I'm not 100% happy with battery life... ~4 hours SOT for me.. (average usage). I hope Oppo/OP will release a DASH/USB-C PowerBank, because we'll need it.
No gaming or phone calls here on day 2 of use (pretty light browsing, social, wifi 90%) and I got < 24 hours and 3 hours of SOT on a full charge. Not very happy with that, hoping it will get better
Hi guys,
I remember Oneplus blacklisted larger battery for the 3, because people were using the battery from the 3T model to upgrade the battery. With that said can you comment how such old companies as Polarcell are selling 3200 and 3500 mAh replacement batteries for our phone? Is that a fake marketing? If not, would they work as direct replacement or I have to flash customer kernel and rom on my phone to override Oneplus' restriction (if that is at all possible, cause it most likely is coded in the firmware).
Can someone shed more light please?
Thank you!

Xiaomi Mi Mix Quick charge 3.0 question. Please help

I have recently purchased the Mi Mix with the Chinese ROM, I have now unlocked the bootloader and flashed the most current global ROM, I believe the Mi MIx is quick charge 3.0 according to specs on Qualcomm and Xiaomi website. I have tried the LG g5 quick charge plug and the Anker quick charge 3.0 powerport +1 and neither of them display fast or quick charging, it definitely isn't quick charging as it takes nearly 5 hours to charge. Any help or info would be appreciated as it's driving me crazy, I understand it's a much bigger battery but surely 5 hours for a brand new phone isn't fast charging, could this be the kernel or global ROM isn't supported. Thank you to anyone that me be able to help in any way.
Ok?

I don't understand why it would take that long, the question would be from what % are you changing, my mix takes a little more than an hour to go from 45% to 100, and a little bit more than two hours from 5% with the changer that it came with, remember not all phones are created equal also I'm on epic rom 7.3.30
Battery is 4000 mAh then to charge you have to wait a bit... with a quick charge 3, i have 1h45 to fully charge my device...
Try another usb cable
Ok, I changed the cable and plug, charging from 0-100% in just under 2 hours, fairly quick but should it show on the lock screen as fast charging as mine shows just charging.
I'm using Ampere app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gombosdev.ampere). On original charger it shows max possible current 1800 mA, and after some crazy readings it stabilizes indeed around of that value. Other my chargers are not so good. You have to wait a bit (minute?) until the reading will be accurate. First readings are crazy high.
Other such apps probably work as well.
ampere give u right speed amperage value.... value decrease with higher battery level, you are not full mA all the time.... if somedody use a custom kernel like papashclumpf... try to ask a way to fully charge all the ime... i suppose kernel can manage this !

I don't have it, and with such stats I don't think I need one.
It's not worth paying 43 USD (currently the price) to get one.

Of course!
i prefer the 18 w fast charged since it wont degrade the battery as fast as 30 w fast charger. of course a 6000 mah is more difficult to degrade, but the life span will be better with 18w charger
the tencent edition 8/128 is a best buy.. not worth the global 12/512gb . only it has little more bands, all glass body, some new accessory and fast charged. reccomended only for people that use more than 128gb.
128gb is more than enough for me and an almost 1000$ 512gb global model is not giustified!

Proper fast charging shouldn't degrade a battery any faster than normal charging, as long as it doesn't cause the battery to heat up more than normal or charge to a higher finished voltage than normal. What degrades a battery is charging it to 100% all the time, because that last 5 to 10 percent of the charge is up in the 4.15 to 4.2+ volts per cell, which causes the damage that we see as degradation. If you limited the charge to 80%, or even 90% you'd get a MUCH slower degradation of the battery.

And what's nice about the phone is that it gives you a way to mitigate this right from settings. Go to Settings, Battery, PowerMaster, Battery Care. Here you can set times for dynamic charging between hours X and Y to get to 100% instead of as fast as you can. Mine is set 10 pm to 7 am for now.
Any 30W third party compatible?
Using the original supplied battery and cable takes around 4 hours or more, any suggestion???
Why it's taking over 4 hours?? Any way to fix?

It takes 4 hours with the phone off or on. If it's on make sure that scheduled charging isn't activated during the period you try to charge the phone.
If non of what I suggested is useful, it's better you take your device to ASUS service center.

From 50% to 100% takes 4 hours with the phone on.
Scheduled charging was already deactivated.
Could you suggest a better alternative cable & charger that may speed up the charge? Thanks.

There is a problem with your device battery mate either this or your charger is the issue. From 50% to 100% it shouldn't take more than 1 hour and that's with the default charger that comes with the device itself 18W. Try to charge the device with another charger and compare. Otherwise I advice you to taking it to the service center.

Thank you for your advice, I will try charging using my Sony Xperia 1 charger & see if it makes any difference.
Otherwise the battery holds charge very well. I will update you shortly as I've only had the device for 3 days...
I will also order this and see if it helps:
JuicEBitz® 25W 3 Port USB FAST QC3.0 Mains Charger Adapter +
It should provide me with the fastest supported charge. I'll order it next week & once tested I will report back.

I already have an update and know what the problem is.
Around 30 minutes back, I had 60% battery. Just now I unplugged it and it was 96%
I used original Sony Xperia 1 18w charger and cable. This means that there is an issue with the supplied Asus charger, it is charging very slowly. The 18W Sony charger is charging much faster than the 30W Asus...
Anyway to charge only to 80% in software? With a 6000 mAh battery, I don't really need to charge to full if I can increase longevity of the battery life.

About charging realme x2 pro

Hi .i have realme x2 pro and yesterday i forget vooc charger pluged at phone at night .
Did it will affect battery of phone ?
Is new smartphone like x2pro protect itself from over charging ?

Nothing will happen unless you do it all the time. Even if you do it all the time it would not speed up the degradation by that much. It's 2020, I think they figured it out by now.
It's likely still not a good idea to do that with a 50 watt charger,10 minutes in the morning does me 24 hours
Yeah you should avoid it anyway

Now how is the mobile to use??
It's better if you only charge it to 100% and plug it off. Otherwise it charges the whole night to 100%. It's not a real problem but it's better without.
you have 2x2000mA battery's who charging simular. So it's possible to charge it so fast.
You also can yuse an old charger for the night. So the battery isn't so fast charged. Of course it's better when you want to use the phone for more than 2-3 years. I think after 2 years fast charging you will have 75-80% from the power of the first 100%.
But I like the fast charging and charge 30 min in the morning.

Question Battery Capacity Question

Hello all,
I got my self a Find X3 Pro a few months ago and I noticed that Accu Battery Pro and Aida 64 Battery, never reach the min capacity of 4400mah or typical capacity of 4500mah
Is this thing a issue ? Or my battery is degraded from brand new ? Or is this a software incorrect reporting issue ?
Thanks in advance !
Make sure to let it charge for about 7 minutes after it reaches 100%. The phone is not actually fully charged when it reads 100.
See here, after the first charging graph
Oppo Find X3 Pro review
The Oppo Find X3 Pro employs a similar display to the one we enjoyed on the Find X2 Pro. It's a 6.7" LPTO AMOLED screen of 3,216 x 1,440 px resolution or...
www.gsmarena.com
Then check again the meters. If they still read 4200, then you may have a degraded battery.
Also, consider that even if the phone is "new", it may have been produced a long time ago (like a year ago or more), thus suffering from some battery degradation already.
I always make sure I let it charge for about 10 more minutes at 100%. Still between 4000mah - 4200mah it displays.
Recently I replaced the battery for an old Mi 5s Plus and after a few charges (3-4) it will show the correct mah of 3800 (~3792mah)
So, did someone actually have these apps display the correct rating of the battery ?
I will give it a try tomorrow, but my phone is 1.5 years old at this point, so I don't expect to see anywhere near 4500 for sure.
I checked mine, but only 2 cycles it showed 89% The phone is 8 months old.
Thank you for your feedback...
My phone is barely 2-3 months old, should I try for warranty ?

Try to charge slowly to 100% using a 3A cable or less and leave it in charge until Aida64 show complete charged, then check charge counter how much mah show. Normally the counter will be a little less respect to declared capacity, like for hard disk the real capacity is not the full declared capacity. My X3 pro is used and charging to 100% show less of 4000 mah but battery life isn't bad.
18 months old phone, about 84% health (only one measurement though)

I'm sorry to tell you but you are mistaken, my ex Red Magic 3 phone indicated my rated capacity for battery and my recently replaced battery for Mi 5s Plus also indicated 3792 mah out of 3800mah, so I presume the issue comes for a incorrectly stored phone when I purchased it or old batch.
I always charge slow or at 1.8A because I'm never in a hurry, I even charged it at 500mah overnight and it went to just 4115 mah out of min 4400mah

No it depend from device to device and also from update cause it change also with kernel version. When I have OnePlus 7 pro always charged slowly bu never reached the full capacity of charger counter, this changed when I tried Oxygen OS 12 India beta, the battery show 4500 in charge counter exactly like the battery capacity. So it can depend from many factors and isn't simply to understand how really battery life is.
Thank you for all of your support and answers !
Yesterday I installed Battery Guru 2.0 and seems a more decent app than AccuBattery, will keep monitoring
AccuBattery and Battery Guru 2.0 tell me that I only have 1598mAh.
Aida64 tell me 3504mAh.
I don't understand...
I only know that my battery life is poor. I arrive with 20% or less at 8:00pm.
It is also true that I have many IOT applications always active, as well for the smartwatch, wifi, BT and GPS always on and also Always On Display all the day.
Cheers.

DO not forget to check the dual cells in the settings of the apps (accu battery and battery guru)
But even so.... 1600 mah x2 => ~3200mah
Very very unusual for this phone and battery
