Awesome, I've been waiting for this one to show up.
@flar2, I'm not able to download from EXKM it just reads "Could not find compatible version."

Yes! This works on both regular and XL
EX Kernel Manager 3.74 is rolling out on the Play Store now...
It adds full spport for the Pixel 3 XL, including vibration control, HBM setting and ability to download and directly flash ElementalX or any other kernel that uses the AnyKernel2 format.
There are two new settings for the wake gestures:
Vibrate on wake: This will vibrate when you use a gesture to wake the device (e.g. sweep2wake or double tap)
Vibrate on sweep2sleep: This will vibrate when you use sweep2sleep to turn off the screen
High brightness mode works a bit differently on this device. Instead of going to max, it just increases the backlight at the current brightness setting. I will add support to my HBM app soon. I may also change this behavior in the kernel, as I prefer it to just go to max on demand.
Just installed on Pixel 3.
On sweep to wake or double tab to wake, phone keeps vibrating.
Only way to stop this is a reboot.
I have to wait for EX Kernel Manager update I guess.
[EDIT]
Udated Kernel Manager.
All working now.
Thank you very much for bringing this kernel to the Pixel 3
Just flashed the kernel and I'm getting constant reboots.

Thank you for all of this, seems like vibration and HBM works on other kernels too I see that the old method of HBM works well with HBM app, but I kinda like the new method too, I could basically just enable it and leave it always on if it doesn't interfere with auto brightness (as long as HBM app can restore the state after screen off, which it currently doesn't).
I'm seriously contemplating on thoughts of RMA now that EXKM added vibration control. I think mine might be a bit faulty, because vibration motor makes louder than normal sound when tapping. But now I can tune it make the haptics feel perfect and silent. I'm beyond thankful!
EDIT: edited the quote a bit

It seems the reboots stops when I unplugged the phone. Running just on battery, it's fine.
My other issue, substratum isn't working and I remember reading something in the Pixel 2 threads about this kernel not working well with it.
The kernel works fine with substratum.
I've flashed, rebooted, and tested a few themes, all without issue.
What version of Magisk are you using? Canary, beta or stable?

The only thing I've noticed is that HBM doesn't stay on after turning the screen off and back on again.
Running fantastic for me. Best idle drain I have had yet

Before going any further, please know this is for CM7 Gingberbread 2.3.3 ONLY.
Note: There is no conversion process, CM7 already uses proper file systems everywhere by default, so, it's not needed.
Disclaimer:
From bilboa1: This kernel is provided as-is without any warranty. I'm not here to provide support, etc. Although I might when I'm able to, but don't count on it. If your phone explodes, it's your problem.Updates are not guaranteed as well.

Credit for this kernel goes to bilboa1, I'm just posting it here for ease-of-access.
Thanks to Supercurio for making those great enhancement patches and to the Teamhacksung/CMSGS/CM7 contributors for the CM project.

Main features:
Voodoo Sound v8. - Need I say more?
Voodoo Color. - Again, you should know this by now.
LEDNotification. - Not "BLN" - No app required - Use CM quiet hours for scheduling.
Overclocking. - 1.3Ghz max.
UnderVolting.
Extra governors. - Smartass, Interactive.
Various tweaks. - JPX screen timings.
Sometimes testing stuff. - Stuff from teamhacksung before it goes into their stable upstream.
Changelog:
Fixed battery info/display (Upstream) (NEW)
Some fixes for new recovery (NEW)
Upstream sync. (NEW)
Some fixes for new recovery. (NEW)
Test of new scripts.
Fixed said new scripts since test failed.
Supports GB 2.3.4 (Upstream)
Reviewed some code.
Removed governors: ondemand is better in their current state anyway. (NEW)
Allocate more memory to FIMC0 / fixes googles goggles FC. (NEW)
Upstream sync.
Requires latest CM7 nightly for compass, etc.
Supports bml_over_mtd at flash time.
Voodoo Sound v8.
Some touch-key tweaks.
Fixed touch key inactive on boot.
Added usb dock/audio/etc patches. (Testing - xcaliburinhand.)
Tweaked default haptic feedback intensity. (Slightly softer.)
Changes in LED handling. (Possibly fixes most remaining issues.)
You need this to control the LEDs CMParts see here to install properly (Doesn't install like a regular apk, the reason is its not really an app, it's part of CM7 with modified setting panel for LEDs)
LED on on resume has been disabled for now (keyboard woes - I think.)
Touch key: Enforce recovery routine during r/w failures (Fixes: Touch keys flash and stay off when missing a call - Possibly other weird situations.)
LED stay on when screen off as long as notifications are not deleted. (Due to popular request.)
Fixed liblight for quiet hours/LED issue.
Touch keys light up at resume for a short time. (Like Samsung ROMs)
LED notification respects CyanogenMod's 'Quiet hours' (Settings -> Cyanogen -> Sound -> Quiet hours) Setting LEDs to dim during quiet hours will disable led notifcations during those hours (So it's like BLN schedule except its using the CM feature.) - Thanks for that suggestion.
Fixed keys light time out. (I was being dumb with calls during interrupts, sorry.)
Coolya's battery experiemental tests: allow charging at higher temperature. (Like JPX), changed adc.
Added CONFIG_MODVERSIONS for Voodoo module support. (Future market app.)
Headphone fix. (Upstream issue - Means no play/pause/mic buttons, but at least you can listen to music like before.)
Added smartass - Currently doesn't go under 400mhz. (Not default and just testing.)
Stable OC at 1.3ghz, probably! (At least, 'more stable.' Report if you still crash.)
Fixed voltage table display. (No more '?' in Voltage App.)
Voodoo sound patch v6.
Higher refresh rate and timings, taken from JPX (thx morfic) - Results in 10fps boost in games and smoother scrolling elsewhere.

EX Kernel Manager
I get a lot of feature requests and questions for this app, so I've decided to make a thread here. Feel free to make feature requests, report bugs, ask questions or post useful information and feedback.
EX Kernel Manager (EXKM) is the ultimate tool for performance tuning, maximizing battery life, tweaking color, sound, gestures and other kernel settings. EXKM gives you total control over your hardware with premium features and a beautifully optimized material design user interface.
*** Your device must be ROOTED to fully use this app
*** Universal! Compatible with all kernels and all devices.
*** Works with stock kernel, however, some advanced features such as wake gestures, color and sound settings require a custom kernel
Fully supported on the Google Pixel, Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 7 (2013), Nexus 9, HTC One m7/m8/m9, HTC 10, OnePlus 3/3T, Asus ZenFone 2, Samsung Galaxy S6/S7, Moto G4/G4 Plus, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and many other devices.
Includes instant powersave mode and performance mode. Including widgets and quicksettings tiles (on Nougat)
Dashboard: your homepage within the app, Dashboard summarizes your current settings and shows real-time CPU and GPU frequencies, temperatures, memory usage, uptime, deep sleep, battery level and temperature, governors, and i/o settings.
Battery Monitor: the most accurate way to measure battery life. EXKM's Battery Monitor is designed to show battery statistics that you can use to improve battery life scientifically. EXKM Battery Monitor measures % battery use per hour and gives separate statistics for screen off (idle drain) and screen on (active drain). It automatically measures only when the battery is discharging so you never have to remember to reset the stats or create markers.
CPU Settings: easily create, share and load CPU governor profiles for maximum battery life. Adjust max frequency, min frequency, CPU governor, CPU boost, hotplugging, thermals and voltage (if supported by kernel or hardware)
Graphics Settings: Max frequency, min frequency, GPU governor and more.
Advanced Color Control: RGB controls, saturation, value, contrast and hue, Save, load and share custom profiles. (requires kernel support, most custom kernels for Qualcomm devices implement this driver)
Wake Gestures: sweep2wake, doubletap2wake, sweep2sleep, haptic feedback, camera gesture, wake timeout and more (requires kernel support). Asus ZenFone 2 gestures are fully supported.
Custom User Settings: This feature allows you to add any kernel setting you want. Kernel settings are located in the /proc and /sys directories. Simply navigate to the desired path and you can quickly and easily add the setting to the app where it can be changed on the fly or applied at boot. Plus you can easily import/export your custom settings and share with other users.
Memory Settings: adjust zRAM, KSM, lowmemorykiller, and virtual memory settings
Sound Control: adjust speaker, headphone and mic gain. Supports elementalx, fauxsound, fanco sound control, and others (requires kernel support).
CPU Times: Show CPU frequency usage and deep sleep, and optionally sort by most used frequencies.
Update or Install ElementalX: Get notified and quickly download and install the ElementalX Kernel on your Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 7 (2013), Nexus 9, HTC One m7, HTC One m8, HTC One m9, HTC 10 and OnePlus 3.
Kernel Backup: save and restore kernel backups
Many other settings: i/o scheduler, readahead kb, fsync, zRAM, KSM, USB fastcharge, TCP congestion algorithm, last kernel log, magnetic cover control, memory settings, entropy settings and much more!
Other features: configurable, one-click Powersave mode and Performance modes, CPU temperature notification, language chooser (English, French, German, Dutch, Finnish, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, Traditional and Simplified Chinese), theme chooser, auto-powersave mode and more!

Wow great, good to see thread for ExKernel. Thank you so much OP.
Just got the new update from the Play Store. Liking the little visual differences, the graph behind the current frequencies, the little coloured wheels for battery and ram. Just finishes the look off a little bit better. Not noticed any functional differences yet but I've only had a quick glance through. Any specific functional differences between the new version and the previous?
The new EXKM beta from the store is working good. No unexpected behavior so far, running it for a couple of hours including some reboots for testing.
And the color values of my display profiles now stay as set. Before they tended to change one or two points every time the advanced color control menu was reopened.

I made a lot of changes under the hood, optimizing code and improving things like device detection, and showing more info on the updater screen. There is also the advanced and simple modes, for people who are overwhelmed by a lot of settings. I have a lot more changes planned over the coming weeks.
Is there a compatible device list posted somewhere, or should we just try it?

Just try it. You can always get an automatic refund from the Play Store within two hours.
It works with just about every device (especially Qualcomm SOCs) and supports just about every custom kernel feature out there. If you want me to add stuff, post the paths and settings and I will add it. Or add it yourself on the User Settings screen.
Been using this app for many many years, such a beautiful kernel app, amazing, definitely the best, from years gone by till today it's still my number 1 kernel app.
When I read that there were going to major ui changes my instinct was "oh please no" only because in the past with other apps the changes have completely ruined the app. So anyway I take the plunge and install the update and I must say WOW!! Heavily impressed, looks much nicer now, with the little graphs n stats and all the tweaks you've done!!
Really great app, was the best for me and now it's even better!!
Even the current changes are perfect.
Good luck with all your development buddy

I haven't looked into it yet. It's nothing to do with the app, it's something to do with the different task scheduler used on the Pixel.

sreenshoot Plz thanks
Thank You so much. I was waiting for this to happen. Will try this soon. Hope this is as fast as your LOS 11. Thanks again.
So I've been using this ROM since last some hours and if you are reading this thread to decide whether to flash the ROM or not. I would say this is a must try for I9300.
It is the fastest and smoothest Nougat ROM so far.
Found some minor bugs
1. Back button sometimes directly closes the app instead of going to last screen in app.
2. Speaker volume doesn't decrease when in call (don't know if I'm the only one)
The last one is I think a feature as I was facing this in your LOS 11 too that the minimum screen brightness is too low.
So can you please add an option to enable or disable that ultra low brightness mod. I don't actually like to play much with that brightness bar I normally keep it at lowest but with this ROM I have to change it manually many times an hour and auto brightness takes more battery.
Thank you for this smooth ROM.
Cheers.

Hello,
I can't get the password or pin working. I use a pin that is more than 4 characters. When I test it out on the lockscreen itself, I'm locked out and it won't recognize the correct characters. Is this a bug or what?
Looking to confirm with everybody else..
I've been using this rom for more then 1 day and it really is fluid and fast , unlike some other roms when in few hours everything starts to slow down and gets a bit lagy ..well here that is not the case at least for now.

Performance : The Best Nougat ROM
Battery Life : A little better than other ROMs thought don't expect a great increase.

I've been experimenting with dynamic stune boost from @joshuous with good results. Seems to be some improvement in battery. If you want to try it, I've put all the necessary settings into one place in the latest version of EX Kernel Manager (version 3.56 and later).
Go to the CPU screen and select "Boost Settings" to open the Boost Settings screen
-Disable MSM Touchboost
-Change Dynamic stune boost to 15 (or somewhere between 10 and 20)
-Set all Input boost frequencies to 0 MHz (i.e. disabled)
-Change Input boost milliseconds to 1500 (might be unecessary, feel free to experiment)

Woot! You're here! I was holding out hope but had no idea if you were going to bother with this phone.
Finally! Good to see you here.
What about KCAL?

I stuck with my M9 for longer than usual but it finally died of some random power fault like my other HTC phones. I'm done with HTC, which leaves OP or Pixel if I want to keep modding.
Now we got a kernel! :good:

I can't believe you stuck with the m9 that long. I still like HTC, but I'm not getting the U12+ this year. There are a lot more users on the OnePlus and Pixel forums these days.
I've just updated EX Kernel Manager to support the OnePlus 6. EXKM version 3.51 adds speaker, headphone, earpiece and mice gain adjustments, HBM, CPU frequency adjustment and kernel downloads for this phone
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=flar2.exkernelmanager
And, I also updated High Brightness Mode to support the OnePlus 6. This phone does not automatically use high brightness mode, it's now a hidden hardware setting. I've updated High Brightness Mode app to support the OnePlus 6. You will need root to unlock brightness about 10% higher than the max stock setting. You can use this app to enable HBM automatically in the sun, using a widget or with quick settings.

Great to see you here!
How do i know if it installed, because my kernel says 4.9.65 [email protected] Shouldn't say elementalX in it somewhere?

If you installed it, it would say ElementalX-1.00
Good to see you here man!
Finally the great kernel Dev is here, won't regret buying OnePlus 6 was about to exchange for pixel 2 Xl. But now OnePlus 6 will rock
Oh yes ! He's here ? Thank's !
I switched from a Nexus 5X, where I always ran ElementalX kernel on with any ROM. Glad to run that legacy in this device also.
Welcome to op6!

For the most part it is fine but this is right after being idle for 30 min and it stays like this all day long and I think it is killing my battery because I can't even make it a full day any more

you could put some apps to sleep on the settings if Pixels have this option. Also, not used ram is wasted ram

I guess but it never did this before
You should utilize the apps that help find what's going on.
I always keep gsam battery monitor pro.
But for some more info betterbatterystays is a good way to start.
If you're not getting good battery then something is up. Probably a rouge app running in the background.
I'll download that app and check my ram.
What rom are you on/rooted/models installed.
More information you provide the faster you'll get help.
I'm personally on A11 crDroid v7.13
And I get on average 1 hour SOT/10% battery.
I do usually only run the device from 30-80%
I try to stay between this in hopes to preserve battery. Considering the ridiculous price Google got out of us.
My back camera lens is cracked and I'm honestly considering a pixel 4a.. I don't 5g anyway.
Edit: so here is where I'm at ATM
@andybones I did state at the bottom of my first post that I'm on Stock A12 and Cleanslate Kernel but I didn't mention that I am currently rooted and I have AccA module installed and set to charge to 80% I have the GoogleDialerMod module, Universal Safety Net Fix module, BusyBox module and More Live Pixel Wallpapers by Typhus_ I've used the paid version of those apps that you mentioned but I usually don't find anything all though I haven't since this started.

How well does that zz naptime app work and I know people always ask what features are available on crDroid but what I was wondering is what is missing from crDroid that stock android offers?

I believe it does. I have it set to doze immediately. and my texts don't suffer from coming in. and things like gmail work fine as long as turning off battery optimization.
so for me it's beneficial.
It's probably close to what Proton ROM is missing:
here is text from protons site to help me out:
"Not all Pixel-exclusive features are supported due to their proprietary nature. The following features are supported (depending on your device generation, like on the stock OS):
Active Edge - not on Pixel 5
Adaptive connectivity - yes
Adaptive Sound - yes with magisk module
App suggestions - yes
Assistant quick phrases - not sure but should
Auto-rotate face detection - maybe
Call screening - yes
Extreme Battery Saver - yes
Flip to Shhh - yes
Google Discover feed - yes
Increased touch sensitivity - yes
Live Caption - yes
Live Translate - yes
Magic Eraser - not sure, but may not have this, but does A11 have it?
Now Playing - yes
Screen attention - yes
Screen-off “Hey Google” - I assume yes, but don't use it
The following features are not supported:
“At a Glance” on lock screen - no
“Rules” automation - pretty certin no
Adaptive charging - crdroid has smart charginging in crdroid tweaks, but may be missing adaptive charging
Battery Share -has "power share" quick settings tile
Detailed battery usage history slots -seems to have this
Game Dashboard -crdroid twekas has a gaming mode in crdroid tweaks
Motion Sense - not sure what this is
Pixel Stand integration - maybe missing this
Quick Tap (this may be missing, but Tap Tap is probably better anyway)
Recents text selection" (has this since it comes stock with Pixel launcher with the gapps)
TL: DR -- really just:
“At a Glance” on lock screen
“Rules” automation
Adaptive charging
Pixel Stand integration
