Which is the best site to download Google play service
APK Mirror is run by the organization called "Android Police", this does not prevent malware such as advertising and tracking on your phone, but is the most trusted site to have the exact APK the same as is or was in Google Play Store, unaltered by anyone except for the original author(s) who wrote the program.

Searched but can't find an answer to this. Probably because I wouldn't know what words someone else has used in Q or A...
Is there an alternate source for Apps for my TAB that I can access on the TAB just like the Market/Google Play or failing that on a PC and easily install via some other method?
I guess what I am asking is: Anyone who makes an App, do they automatically put it up on the Market or do some developers prefer not to, and therefore is there another central access point, or do I have to web search them and go to their site to get them?
confusing post. There is the google play store, the Amazon app store, Getjar, and appslib market places to get apps from.
Most developers will list their apps with one or more of those app stores.
Unless of course you are looking for Warez matey. That be goin' against forum rules. Arrr. ;-)

Not sure why its confusing.
I only know of (knew of) the Market (now Google Play) cos its the stock standard link included on my TAB and SG2. Aside from Samsung Apps.
Not after warez, just wondering weather all apps make it to GP or if thewre is other places. Will have a look for the others.
Just downloaded and installed appslib APK and got the message "Sorry, but your device is not compatible with AppsLib."
SGT7 Overcome 4.1.0
Th getjar seems a little sparse.
to ensure high compatibility,
I usually re-set my dpi to 240,
clear market data and reboot.
then launch market again

I have never seen any dpi settings. Where would these be? How would resolution affect weather the appslib works or not?
Which market are you referring to - Google Play or appslib?
Dpi affect Play
/system/build.prop
ro.sf.lcd_density=240
But I misread your post. You downloaded an apk and install it manually.
The dpi setting only affect when you search apps in Play.

Hey guys, just wanna ask, what is Google Play Service, it just installed itself after rebooting my phone. What does it do? I checked it on the Play Store but all the reviews' talking about a game, I can't even open it and it's not on my drawer. Can someone please explain? Thanks
Google developers said:
Google Play services is a platform delivered by the Google Play Store that offers integration with Google products, such as Google+, in Android apps. The Google Play services platform consists of a services component that runs on the device and a thin client library that you package with your app.

So basically, it's a component to let apps access your google+ easily.

Well, I have no idea why they are talking like as if it's a game with levels or something... But the description of the app clearly states:
Google Play services - Google services for Android apps
Google Play services lets Android apps from the Google Play Store integrate with Google+ and Google Accounts. To work correctly, some apps may require Google Play services to be present and up to date.
Google Play services is usually updated automatically on Android devices. You can also install or update it manually from the Google Play Store.

So, idk why they're all spouting nonsense about that.
I guess Google Play Service is responsible for making fast updates to installed apps. Now you don't need to download the whole app again in order to update. It just takes only the updated part and not whole app. This is especially helpful when updating big games. Anyways its just my assumption, though I'm not sure about it.

I have my ouya rooted. I downloaded an app called usb otg helper which works nice mounting all my harddrive in different formats. But the free version wont auto mount only the paid version. I tried using the paid version but I get an error message saying it cant connect to server. Hope theres some trick to get this to work. I just sideloaded the app through es file manager.
If it's an app that was paid for on the play store, the developer can build in drm to authenticate with Google that it's been paid for by the currently logged in Google account. Currently it's not possible to install Google services on the Ouya, you're out of luck till that happens.... Sadly a pirated version of the paid app may have that drm stripped.

I actually thought about not asking this but there's a thread on trying to hack google play store on this so I figured it would be ok.

They're not really "hacking" the play store if you actually read the thread. They are trying to get the play store to work on the ouya so you could use paid apps like the one you asked about here

Why is it that a 3rd app store tells me that there's updates available for certain apps on my phone, yet when I check the Google play store the apps in question are up to date!??
Confused! ?

Aptoide is let by stores, that said, that means that aptoide is basically based in people, who edit apps and modify them, so it maybe not licened or signed to be used in the gpl.

nothing over there... actually what I need is the one that says youtube.com in white font with a blue background, it come from amazon app store, but not google play store.
the google play store one need the google framework to login , otherwise it will not work anymore. The one from amazon can login itself, don't need the google framework, that means I needn't to root it...

Thanks a lot. It is really helpful.
If it is possible, would you please also upload the version for Fire TV Stick, the size is 16.2MB and link is
http://www.amazon.com/youtube-com-Y...e=UTF8&qid=1446825529&sr=1-8&keywords=youtube
cause my smart TV don't have google service, I have no way to root it, but I really want a youtube on it. I think this might be a solution.
Thanks again.
