Hi,
I received the 8.9 yesterday and was very happy with it. Played with it for an hour and went out for the day.
When I got back home I downloaded and installed Kies on Windows 7, plugged in the tablet and new ROM was detected. Installation was straight forward and no errors, booted up the tablet and ICS was installed no problem.
Logged in via my Google account and updates started etc. The problem is the screen, if the screen goes off and I wake up via the power button the screens graphics are scrambled, you cant read anything. Looks like a spectrum loading screen.
If I hold down the power button to restart the tablet the graphics load up fine, I can use it OK, no graphical problems. If it goes asleep the problem returns (everytime).
I know I did everything properly, no custom roms were installed, programs that were downloaded via play are also used on my S2.
Rang up the online store for a returns but somebody is getting back in contact which could take 48hrs!
Is there something I should of done/could do?
Many thanks,
Mike

Mods - Please can you close this, the link I posted in my first comment fixed it.
Thank you.
Just received my unit a couple days ago, sync up to phone OK htc m8. Now here is what I know is not working. No cards from Google now, cannot push any apps to watch. When I go into setting there is just basic there like power, reboot and restart. The one big thing is the watch downloaded an up date but it won't install, nothing happens when I touch green check, it keeps saying touch to install but nothing happens. I have rebooted and reinstalled several times same out come. Anything I can do?
for the update..its more like a swipe to the left to install...not just a tap
and as for the syncing....you paired it...went thru all the initial steps that are required when you downloaded the Android Wear app I assume
I have constantly been having the problem where on android wear on the phone the status is "connecting..... connected..... conecting.....connected" a factory reset on the watch has usually fixed this issue but this time no matter how many times I have reset the watch uninstalled android wear and reinstalled I am unable to to get the watch to connect to my galaxy S6. I have this morning connected it to my old HTC one and it worked first time so Im leaning towards a problem with the phone rather than the watch.....
Video of the problem here

Any advice on this issue would be appreciated.
Thanks!
While playing around with getting TWRP installed on my Gear live things went South.
I can no longer get into any mode (fastboot, recovery, bootloader) except regular boot; using the "normal" method of hold-power-button and swipe diagonally once or twice. No matter how much I swipe, it will ONLY boot to regular system.
However, as soon as the boot finishes it asks for language and then hangs with message saying I have to "install android wear in your phone". Wear is already on my phone, but it will not pair with the watch.
I figure if I can't get into one of the modes mentioned above, there is no way to un-brick the watch. Hopefully, one of you will prove me wrong.
HELP???
Boowho
Similar issue with Samsung Gear Live watch....
I had a similar issue...... My Gear Live kept doing to the same " install android wear in your phone" message...
I use a Galaxy S6 Edge + to pair it with, not that the type of phone probably matters.... I did several, and i mean several reboots / reinstalls / restarts/ factory resets/remove and reinstall android wear... . finally called Samsung tech and they said it wasn't fixable and i needed to buy a replacement.
I am sorry, and don't know how i got 'lucky', but a few days later, before i gave up totally on it.. it did an OTA update and asked if i wanted to install it !! after that it asked for another update, and another update and another update. Each time it brought the ' security patch level closer and closer to the current date ( it is finally up to sept. 5,2016 )
Android Wear on the watch is now 1.50.3287245
Play service is 9.8.77
Android OS is 6.0.1
and with these updates it now has wi-fi capability ( yes - Gear Live has wi-fi )
All this happened right when i was about to give up on it / Now it works perfectly , updates from my phone with new watch faces immediately , etc.
very very cool watch.
ps. I did also read several, and i mean several posts all over the internet about the Gear Live and its issues. ( sorry, i don't have all the links, but sure if you google you can find the same ones i went to ) I did turn on NFC ( near field Comm) on my phone, as well as bluetooth and wifi.
There is a youtube video that walks you through factory resetting it... I did so many resets and downloads and re downloads ( I was on a mission ! ) Now, finally works like it should and have had zero problems with it for the past several months !

Good Luck - just keep trying - sorry i don't have a 'real' solution.
ps. currently using the 'Black Classic' premium watch face - very customizable, lots of features and user friendly.
pss. I haven't posted to a forum in YEARS , but with all the frustration i went through I thought maybe my few tidbits might help you .. I truly had given up, when these updates started to come through -
Best wishes.

Thanks for you interest....... I've been trying numerous re-boots, factory resets and other things. I can't get the watch to pair with my phone; so OTA update is not going to happen..
Can't get into fastboot/recovery mode either. The only thing I CAN do is get into DOWNLOAD mode, but I don't have then correct firmware files in ODIN format.
Thanks

First of all, I want to apologize for my English.
I bought the LG whatch R second hand and at first it went perfectly, But then in an update (still in 1.5) the smartwatch would start to shut down continuously, if I gave it to start it started but did not start the system and it was shut down again, Until after some time could not re-ignite and have a use (for a short period of time).
With the update to version 2 the problem persists and I no longer know what else to do. I have returned to version 1.5 in a tutorial of this forum but the problem persists, I do not know if it is a kernel problem or that, but I no longer know what to do with the smartwatch, since it is impossible to enjoy it and it goes out to Little use it.
Someone knows how to solve this problem. And many thanks for your attention.
Hello, I recently had a similar problem after downgrade to 1.5.
Whenever I got the update to 2.0, I restarted my watch and when it switched on, the display was black in about 2 minutes and I had to turn it on again, this was repeated 2-3 times. Now I've done a full wipe and disabled update to 2.0, so I'll see if it's okay?
