VTR_L09 C432 Huawei P10 Factory reset failed - Huawei P10 Questions & Answers

I have 4 pieces P10 which are running VTR_L09 C432B123, the phones work fine but the fail to perform a factory via settings.
I have tried different versions of software and even upgraded one to the latest version.
Any ideas why these phones are like this, I had a total of 16 phones with same software version and only these 4 have this issue.
Could this be a hardware fault?
Any help appreciated.

Can't activate the phone after factory reset

Hi,
I updated the phone to JB and and after a few days I did a factory reset. After inserting the google user and when this process suppose to be over it return and ask me again for google user, if I enter the same user it says that it's already exists. So, basically it stack in a loop of entering the user name. I tried to do a factory reset but it didn't helped.
I'll appreciate any ideas how to solve it.
Flash rom again and reset again through recovery before you boot it, should work

Re-flash. If with kdz doesn't works use LGFlash Tool.
Which version do you suggest to install, V20a or v10h?

If your option is LGFlash Tool try the V20A. You can see if improves by flashing directly JB.
The flash will wipe everything, format partitions and factory reset, soo... after flash ends, no need for
factory reset, will be already done.
You can find all needed files here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38838927&postcount=7
The software version in those files are both (V20A - V10H) Official Eurpen.
Good luck.

Hi
I wanted to update my 5830, so I flashed firmware via ODIN to the newest, all was good since I wanted to give my phone to my wife, and I needed to do factory reset... after that my phone stuck in bootloop, cant go more than samsung logo, sometimes animation, and its blinking and restarting again. What can I do? I performed new flash with new rom - all going good, but I'm trying to factory reset it again, and its bootlooping again...
can some1 help me back my phone to good condition with factory reset possibility?

I'v done this several times, by cwm and by stock recovery - same result. Finally I've installed branded rom and it's working perfectly to the moment I wanted to uninstall operator apps by titanium backup. Sometimes at the finishing of uninstall phone reboots... but working.

yeah n between uninstalling system apps system boots but thats not a problem as those apps which you wanna remove get removed even if your phone gets rebooted
Did you also wipe dalvik? Try to flash a stock (old) firmware via odin and do this steps.
1.reboot to recovery
2.wipe data /factory reset
3.wipe cache partition
4.reboot
İt has to boot normally in 2-3 minutes. İf doesnt tou gotta make a Jtag operation which you cannot do without the RiffBox.

You should flash a multi package firmware when rolling back from custom roms.XXKPH is one such rom, then you can flash latest update afterwards.Cache etc never matter for me

[Q] Factory reset good enough for used ebay phone?

Hi there I have just got a i9305 from someone on ebay and I am thinking should I do more than a factory reset. I.e. root it etc... or do you guys think it is 'safe' to just factory reset it? As in could someone stick some dodgy software on it that does not get wiped by factory reset? Thanks! :good:
Just factory reset it's ok if he has original soft.

You can delete his account without factory reset.

In recovery format sdcard system data and cache .Now no OS etc on the phone ,
Boot to download mode flash stock rom via Odin .
EBay check IMEI is correct and not blocked .

Oh man but its been a year since I did all that type of thing - was hoping a factory reset was enough :S.
Just done a checkmend and its totally clean and still in warranty - all checks out. I am tempted to just go with the factory reset and sd card wipe -surely nothing will be left?

Yes your choice .
Point to note Samsung may not extend their limited warranty to a second user .

[Q] Factory Reset on Rooted M7

Hi friends,
I wanted to be very sure before I tried anything stupid and end up bricking my phone.. I hope you will find time to answer some of these questions..:fingers-crossed:
Is it safe to factory reset a rooted HTC One M7?
If it was safe, do I need to do anything special like factory reset it from TWRP (what?) or just hit the Back Up and Reset option in the Settings of the phone?
Will I lose my root access?
Appreciate your time! :victory:
Much respect,
flopped

Factory reset from backup reset will fail because you don't have stock recovery
Factory reset in TWRP deletes the /data partition
make a backup first just in case.
If you want a true wipe factory reset you need a RUU (ROM Update Utility)

Having issues trying to flash anything. Would appreciate some help from a pro.

So I am trying to flash the nougat CM, but it keeps on failing. My moto x is currently on the 6.0 brazil firmware that was leaked almost a year ago. I flashed that firmware and then flashed US radios. That is where my device currently stands. After failing to flash CM 14 I tried to flash CM 13 so that maybe I could take that path to CM 14. However, that has failed as well. So then I tried to flash official 6.0 from motorola to at least get back onto 1097 firmware. No go. I am literally unable to flash anything. I have flashed the most current version of TWRP via fastboot, but thats about as far as I'm able to get. The bootloader is also unlocked. I would really appreciate somebodies time to help me out with this if they could. Thank you.
I assume you are at least doing the default wipe with twrp (data, dalvick and cache)? You may need to wipe even more though. What exactly is happening when you try to flash the zip with twrp?
And after full wipe (cache, dalvik, data AND system), make a factory reset of your phone. (Wipe->Swipe to Factory Reset)
After all try flashing again and you will have no problems.

Yes I have wiped. It says "error 7" when trying to flash CM 14 when I tried flashing the stock moto 1097 firmware it said something about signed Android version from Google or something.

I have factory reset a couple times. Still no go.
I think I'll find the thread that had a guide on how to flash the Brazilian firmware that I'm on and see if there's an accompanying guide on reverting back and go from there. Worse case I brick it. Time for a new phone anyway. Lol.
