Hey guys, I have an issue with my device and I'm not exactly that sure where the problem is.
So basically, if I call someone, it's fine....until I make use of the proximity sensor. After that the phone goes haywire, with com.android.phone force closing itself, as well as the network suddenly blinking between no SIM and having a SIM card.
Here's the logcat (of course, it's not complete, it's the moment when the error happens):

Anyone?
I'm on 2.245, C5303, with the deodexed version.
Kernel is stock, and I have Xposed framework installed, with XBlast Tools, Advanced Reboot Menu, and Greenify.
I recommend u install latest Firmware version (2.254), uninstall XBlast Tools (I had lot of problems with it) and downgrade the Advanced Power Menu to the version 5.0 (newest 6.0a_r1 freeze the XSP too) :highfive:

Click to collapse
My Advanced Power Menu is at 5.0 I'll try and uninstall XBlastTools and report back
EDIT: I am now a noob. Uninstalling XBlastTools helped! Thanks!
This happened to me after I updated xtools and advanced tools, downgraded both and all good again.

Hello guys,
I've been having this issue with my O4X for a week now where the phone won't turn off or reboot upon pressing the power button. If I tap on either power off or reboot it seems to be turning off nd the screen goes black, but if you tap on any of the navigation buttons they light up again and if you press on the power button the display comes back again with the powering off message. If I press the power button again on this stage, the power off menu shows again and so on, I have to do a long press of the power button to get the phone to hard reset. I have CatLog installed and BetterBatteryStats but I understand their logs just reset on power off so I'm at a loss to identify any culprits.
I installed Vanir ROM 4.3.1 one week prior to the problem starting.
I searched on the forum but can't seem to see any posts describing a similar problem, so any help would be appreciated. :good:

Ok guys, so here's a real-time log of me trying to reboot the phone last night:
http : // paste2 . org / p021zXkg (can't post links yet, sorry)
This is a 10k+ lines long log. As it reaches its end, that is, the actual failed reboot moment, it shows lots of errors related to SQLiteDatabase and Java stuff, as this:

I'd really appreciate your help with this one, as it is a real nuisance.
It's your bbm messaging app causing the problem
Try removing it and try
Try factory data reset if that doesn't work try reflashing your phone since its a custom rom its easier.
If you solve the problem please share solution...
Thanx, Bo

I haven't found a solution yet. I disabled BBM but the phone still can't properly reboot/shutdown after a certain uptime. Here's a new log I just grabbed with BBM disabled: http : // paste2 . org / mgUOAzkE
And here's the excerpt from the final lines until I perform a hard reboot:

SlimRoms is a custom android operating system. The main goal is to offer users a slimmed down but still feature rich alternative to other android operating systems.
The entire SlimTeam work together to bring you this tailor-made beauty straight from Android Open Source Project (AOSP) source code.
All of the sources can be publicly viewed through GitHub and you can stop by the public Gerrit to submit patches of any type.
SlimLP is currently in alpha / beta stage, some custom features are already in place, but much much more is planned for the future.

Not for me! Have this build running since yesterday evening and the last builds a bit longer and for me it's the smoothest rom together with AOSP!
Can you post screenshots in Settings?I want to see menus.
this rom is amazing, all very fast and stable, the only problem is that does not have a file manager but this is solved easily, another very good option that has the CM12 and Euphoria is to delete contacts but I know that is not characteristic in slim ...
Now a question, where can I get performance option? this rom already have root?

ROM tested and "no outgoing calls" like in previous versions of other LP roms.
I do not have this problem on AOSP Moltenmotherboard rom since version 20150123
Thanks for this early version of SlimLP

Can you take a logcat for us? That would really help! And what carrier do you have?
Network signal icon froze. The "signal bars" dont move up or down. Reboot or re-flash rom does not solve the problem.

Sorry but I uninstalled this ROM because I need to be able to call with my phone and I installed back AOSP-LP Moltenmotherboard
My carrier is ORANGE France and I had the same difficulty with early versions of AOSPLP (till 20150118)
I noticed too many random freezes. If it happens again i will get log.
"Unfortunately, Setup Wizard has stopped"
Cleared cache, factory reset/clear for new ROM.
Installed, no issues. Installed gaps (mini for Slim), no issues. Reboot. Get this error. Pull batt, reset, same error.
Coming from Vanir KK.

Unfortunately my machine is warming up too much and energy consumption drops rapidly. With the AOSP not had this problem , maybe new updates can solve this problem ?

Sure, but keep in mind SlimLP is in a very early stage , but be sure @laufersteppenwolf is doing his best to get it working very well.
Overheating is in the most times a problem with Kernel (if i'm wrong feel free to correct me), so first solution could be to flash an alternate Kernel. WereWolf kernel is working very well.
But please, the next time you write anything here, dont use Bold to write, it's very annoying!

cm-13.0-20151219-UNOFFICIAL-m7 bugs
Hi,
A few things about "Unofficial CyanogenMod 13" for HTC One M7 Int. (cm-13.0-20151219-UNOFFICIAL-m7)
1. Cannot change preferred network type from "LTE (recommended)" to 3G or 2G. If I try, it just closes the choice window and that's it. Here is logcat for each choice:

2. Get random reboots. One thing I noticed, I get rebooted somewhere about the time when "SMS Backup and Restore" runs a scheduled backup. I get somewhere about 1-3 reboots per days as much as I have been using this ROM.

Code:

And since then - no more reboots. As a result found these AVC message in DMESG:

Seems to be this has been fixed in cm-13.0-20151223-UNOFFICIAL-m7.zip build - no more random reboots, but Preferred network type still can't be changed...
Hello
How smooth is it with this rom?

Hi, the rom is really quite good, only bugs that I have noticed were:
* after fresh install of Facebook and Messenger they force closed - need to start each app at least once, then delete these files:
** /data/data/com.facebook.katana/lib-xzs/libssl*
** /data/data/com.facebook.orca/lib-xzs/libss*
* Still cannot change Preferred network type, either via settings menu, nor via dialpad *#*#4636#*#*. This is set to auto LTE/3G/2G, which drains battery a lot if connection is not stable (many handovers or switching between LTE and 3G)
Other than that - awesome, fast, pretty
Just installed cm-13.0-20160103-UNOFFICIAL-m7 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64632124&postcount=129.
Installation sequence:
1. TWRP -> Wipe -> Advanced: Dalvik Cache, Cache and System
2. Install cm-13.0-20160103-UNOFFICIAL-m7.zip
3. Install open_gapps-arm-6.0-nano-20151225.zip
4. Flash boot.img from cm-13.0-20160103-UNOFFICIAL-m7.zip
Issues that still persist:
* Flashligh FCs after a few seconds from start
* Camera FCs after picture taken, video capture works fine
* Preferred network type cannot be changed, get the same error as before
Haven't tested Facebook and Messenger, as I did not do a full wipe.
How is the battery life? CM is notorious for bad battery life on this device.
With 5.1 GPE ROM, m7 has a very good battery life, with about 2% per hour drain with normal day use and 0.5% per hour drain at idle at night. Does this ROM close to that?
Also, did you collect logcat for those FCs?
I haven't tested the battery life a lot, because before this CM I was using stock latest rom, so the battery drain is about the same, might tell you more tomorrow.
As for Force Closes, here are logcats (to not clutter the forum, put all logs to pastebin:

How is the battery life? CM is notorious for bad battery life on this device.
With 5.1 GPE ROM, m7 has a very good battery life, with about 2% per hour drain with normal day use and 0.5% per hour drain at idle at night. Does this ROM close to that?
Also, did you collect logcat for those FCs?

Now that you asked about battery drain, I measured about 30 % drop (from 100%) in 12 hours (7 normal usage and 5 night time) which equals to 2,5% per hour. That isn't bad, considering that WiFi always on, made a few calls, used GPS for about 15 minutes, Titanium backup ran at night (backing up 5 Apps) and SMS Backup & Restore at night. Oh, and 5 alarms early in the morning.
I've looked at old threads and did everything suggested, but my problem seems different. I've a US-spec Xperia XZ1 Compact, which I flashed with newsflasher with several different current firmwares to enable the fingerprint sensor:
G8441_Customized UK_1310-6856_47.1.A.12.145_R16B
G8441_Customized NOBA_1307-7511_47.1.A.12.145_R19B
When I enable WIFI hotspot, it is not visible by other devices, and even if configuring it manually it does not connect.
When I realized about the hotspot problem (several months passed) I went back to the current US firmware ( G8441_Customized US_1310-4371_47.1.A.12.119_R8B ) but the error persists, someone in reddit suggested it had to do with the locale of my phone (US firmware but spanish language in my country)
I'm getting this kind of errors (via ADB Shell logcat):

So if I understand correctly, channel 6 which the phone tries to use is not supported. But I don't know how I could fix this without rooting and editing the original file.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!
