I want to Have Predictive Text "On" but the AutoReplace Feature "Off" for all languages.
this is possible for English & Other Languages, But For Persian the AutoReplace Button Is grayed out and is Always "On"
How can i Fix this?
You may try another keyboard, I use A.I. type, it is very good, it has many, many personalization options

Hi all,
I've been using WM6.1 for a while now, and constantly switch between T9 Dutch and English. I've had many ROM's and after installing the "T9 14 Languages Update.cab" that's been hanging around these forums I always got access to different t9 languages via the little white triangle next to the keyboard icon when inputting text: fast and easy switching.
Now I've tried various WM6.5 rom's and while the T9 language cab installs fine, I don't know where to switch the language... It's not in the usual place, nor can I find it anywhere else.
Has anyone sucesfully managed to get this going? I'm using the Deeplightning ROM at the moment.
Thanks.
Anyone know anything about this?
I just go to options.
there you see input method (and your chosen one)
beneath that is another options button
and under there I can set the language.
make sure you have multiple languages installed, otherwise you don't see that 2nd options button

If I'm writing a message, and I tap the small white triangle, then go to options I only see input method. If I then g oto the second options tab at the bottom, I can only see options for 'voice recording format', zoom defaults, and some tick boxes. No language settings.
ok... I need your help.
I asked in the Energy rom thread but without any answer...
So here is the deal :
I have the Energy.DIAMOND.21903.Titanium.LITE.May.10 and I struggle to change the xT9 language to french. I used to change it in Settings\Personal\Input, then Options and I used to have the choice between different languages. Now it's only written "English" and I can't select nor change it.
I tried to install additional keyboards but it didn't change anything.
I searched and I found some clues about changing the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Tegic\eT9\DefaultLanguage" to the one corresponding to French(010C), and after a softreset, I can see the French language is set under Input\Options, but the keyboard layout is missing the Spacebar and the 4 arrows at the bottom are not displayed. I can click on them but there is no drawing, just a empty field with some weirds artefacts.
I found that by editing the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\ezsip\BioToShowMenu" to "1", it pop up a menu, and let me switch from English to French without messing too much with the registry, but the graphical glitch is still there, I tried french, german... still buggy (missing spacebar graphic, xt9/abc switch is active but always displays xT9 as selected, the 4 arrows at the bottom are filled with colors artefacts)
I can't be the only one having this issue, I'll appreciate your help.
Thanks (a lot !)
Is it possible to change the language of the nook color? Or at least change the configuration of the keyboard so the autocomplete and autocorrect is in spanish?
Thanks

I cannot speak for spanish, but I can read/type Chinese quite easily with a couple of keyboards that support pinyin (chinese input). A quick glance shows quite a few options: http://www.androidzoom.com/android_applications/spanish keyboard
I change the language of the nook color with morelocale2.
I'll see what I can do with the keyboard. I'm sure swift Key have spanish, but the menu appears white text over white background, so I can't choose the language... Maybe I'll just try them all.
I was able to change the language of two keyboards, SwiftKey and Smart Keyboard. One with a long press in the mic button and the other with a long press in the ABC button.
Sadly, Swift Key uses predictions for both languages at the same time, mixing them, so I had to chose Smart Keyboard as a default, even though I like the former better.
I've been hunting this issue on XDA but I've not found a solution, it's the eternal issue of keyboard switcher. I speak several languages, like a lot of people here. It is a royal pain to manually switch from english to french to spanish and back and forth. everytime i want to write in one language i have to change the entire locale.
So far, I found this:
-apowersms (if you go to setting, there is a language filter, which is very interesting because you can choose which language keyboard you need) (and the keyboard layout isn't so bad looking)
- softkeyboard (for the keyboard button, when you press it long, you can directly change to the language you want)
I'm trying to find, how to create a custom shortcut maybe to switch between the languages that I speak. something like this, so that I can switch languages for my gingerbread keyboard.
Does anyone out there have a better solution for my problem. let me know.
thanks
Using stock keyboard, go to the keyboard settings and search for something like "languages". Select the languages you want to use. Now swipe your finger on the space key to switch between the selected languages
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Download AnySoftKeyboard (free), or SmartKeyboardPro (paid).
Just got my note today!!!!!!!!!!
SG2 under settings ->samsung keypad settings
I'm able to select the keypad types based on language
Korea (3x4)
Alphabet (Qwerty)
Numbers and symbols (Qwerty)
Is there a way to set this as well? I've only seen one option to select qwerty vs 3x4 but it changes all languages to that setting instead of individual settings for each language.
Thanks.
Hm... the only workaround I've found so far is enable 2 different keyboards. Upon wanting to switch languages I change the keyboard. Would be interested to hear any other good news.
