I have more cars in my wishlist , I just wish that all car manufacturers come up with similar apps.. The Mission E app is too close to being a perfect one but lighting needs to be more natural. shadow, world detection and motion is excellent with minor glitches. AR Smoothness and clarity is just amazing..another brownie point to M20P from me :good:

Here's a 50MP shot I took in my town today (of course, attaching it to this post will probably cause some compression) . Edited in Photoshop Express.

yea that would be cool if people could take both a pic with the reg camera and the color os camera so we can compare the difference. Photos are subjective so it might not always look good to ones eyes.

hey, great shots. love Island!
off topic only for curiosity, is this place near Fortitude (TV series) location?
Are there any apps on the market that can utilise the dual cameras of the P9? In particular the post shot depth of field effect. I know the Google Camera app does something similar, but it's nowhere near as good.
I'm quite to donate to the person who ports the stock camera app! :good:
Huawei uses kirin processors and most of the other camera apps are especially made for snapdragon or mediatek. So its difficult to port such apps to work on armeabi platforms

Why would you even? The 'AI' Camera feature seen on recent phones is mostly all marketing, it might be an enhanced automatic algorithm, but no AI.
Phones simply dont have the compute performance to do anything reasonable with AI. I mean even GTX 1080 Tis need days to do real AI training.
That' right, I see all this fuss about the so called "AI" but its a abusive use of the term
"AI" is just the latest fad in marketing hoo-ha, because it sounds clever and advanced. Reality is, it uses the same tech as facial recognition, except, instead of recognising a face, it recognises different objects.
My Note 8 just received update with AI cam. AR emoji works great just like the N9/S9/S9+

not what OP means. yes, "AI" is a marketing buzzword but in this case we are talking about the AI component of the Note9 camera that does scene detection and automatic detection of faulty shots taken with the camera.
I don't think it is impossible, but it might be hars because it could be relying on a hardware component like a special part of a chip made for "AI" - that could pose a challenge for porting.
honestly though, I don't really see a value in it. Scene detection is unnecessary and just does weird tweaks of the colour science of the picture that imo make them worse anyways, and knowing if a shot was bad is something pretty unimpressive...
Hi everyone.
I have spent last 4 weeks to make short video using Note 9 exclusively. The idea was to check how far I can get using mobile phone camera only and get result which would be satisfying for YT or even further. Note 9 seemed to me the best for the purpose. To do so, I sent my Note 9 120 meters to the sky attached to the drone, drowned it in a pond and finally travelled around Yorkshire in UK to get some footage. As a result I just published today video on YT and my main interest is to find out if people can really say difference. I have used Davinci Resolve in post production. Colours are changed slightly to make it look “film like”.
I didn't want to make just moving pictures so there is a story. Don't judge me too harsh however.. I am not an actor.
During the process of filming I have learnt a lot about note 9 camera and I believe I could make much better quality video now. It made me sure that it is possible to make quite serious production
with modern mobile phone if one wish to.
I hope everyone enjoy it.

well... I did. The water wasn't my biggest concern though... My biggest concern was when Note was attached to the drone 120 meters above me... This phone is huge... and made a huge resistance in the air... and because delicate suspension I had to construct and use to eliminate vibrations I was in constant fear it will detach from the drone and .... well ... I don't want even consider what would happen...
I am not very big on YT, so do not expect plenty of views but really appreciate your comment. Thanks
I've done a few videos with the Note 9 so far and have found it to be exceptional.
See here: https://youtu.be/k-15LfCyyNg Including use of all slow motion modes as well. (Gets real dramatic around 4 minutes)
My BIGGEST complaint is the algorithm used for choosing either the telephoto lens or if there's not enough light it uses the wide lens with a sensor crop/digital zoom. In great daylight the telephoto looks just as crisp as the wide, but even the slightest bit of darkness, even pointing it directly at a sunset (seen here: https://youtu.be/jmApdV_P6Hk) and it flips over to the wide with a crop ruining the consistency. As most have noted, this same crap happens in "pro" mode as well.
I really wish in at least pro mode, Samsung would let the creator choose. I can mitigate sensor noise, I can't really mitigate lack of resolution.
Very well done on the film above! I'm impressed. Did you use Filmic Pro or the stock camera app and get the anamorphic crop in post?

Very nice videos of yours.
My idea was to make video with camera settings as they are. So I used original camera app at fully automatic. The only changes I have made were in post production
and I used Davinci Resolve 15 for both - adjusting colours and anamorphic crop.
I agree with you that "pro" mode should be fully pro I have not noticed the problem you described though. I need to check it.
My conclusion is that actually whatever we will say about mobile phone's cameras they are so good nowadays that with a bit of effort everyone can make videos like mine or yours ..

Oh man.. Thanks.. I can't appreciate enough. . Technically HDR10+ uses something called PQ which is superior to HLG used by Iphone 12 series. There are enough iphone 12 HDR video on the internet. People have tested it left & right but the same enthusiasm was not there when sammy announced HDR Recording two years ago. So I'm really curious.. Thanks a TONNN man..

The video graded beautifully. I dropped a balackmagic res 709 Lut on it . It's really good as the source image is flat . So you have more room to play with colors and contrast.

did you noticed difference between S21 and S20 ultra?
i just shoot quicly as it was freezing i you want 'ill provide you better video next time
They were very similar . Thanks a lot man. A static video of people in bright environment would be great. So that I can check the skintone. Lot of people are underestimating s21 video capabilities over iphone. This is not true. S21 also takes great video with good HDR.
ok, i just share a new video for you, please check
