I've been trying to activate Adhell 3.1 on my Note 9 all morning but I haven't had any success. I created a Samsung dev key (starts with KLM06). I successfully built the app with android studio and installed it on my phone. I enter the key into Adhell 3 but it never gets beyond the attached screenshot. Has anyone else experienced this?
Try rebuilding the app. Are on pie beta build? Any other ads blocking up installed?

To anyone having problems, I'd recommend downloading the APK as opposed to building / verifying it is signed correctly, etc. You can find the APKs in the MediaFire link in the Reddit post. Here's the steps (taken from the reddit post) :
Obtaining a Samsung Knox License key:
Enroll as a developer with this link: https://seap.samsung.com/enrollment
Ensure you're signed in.
Generate a license key with this link: https://seap.samsung.com/license-keys/create#section-knox-standard-sdk
This link should take you to the "Knox Standard SDK" under "Legacy SDKs".
Choose "Enterprise license key".
Enter something in "Add a key alias", e.g. test.
Click on "Generate License Key".
Installing application:
Download newest build of AdHell 3 from MediaFire folder.
Build numbers are in file name. Higher numbers are newer builds.
Download APK Editor Pro.
Copy of this app is provided in the same MediaFire folder with the name apkEditorPro-1.8.28.apk.
Alternatively, you can download it directly from the dev's site: http://www.apkeditorfree.com/
Open APK Editor Pro.
Choose "Select an APK File" and find the downloaded apk file.
Select "Common Edit".
Edit the "Package name" field and change it to a unique name.
It's best to stick to the same package ID length. 3.8.9 characters
If you use same name each time, you should be able to just install updates over your existing AdHell 3.
Ensure "Rename the package name in resources.arsc" is checked.
Press Save.
Press "Install".
Activating AdHell 3:
Grant the app administrator privileges.
Enter your Knox license key.
Submit the key.
Activate.

This did not work for me. I installed apkEditorPro-1.8.28 and opened the adhell3.1.1 apk (which I downloaded from the MediaFire link). I changed the package name to something unique (I kept the 3.8.9 naming convention). The updated apk won't install, however: "There was a problem parsing the package."
@keredini
I fixed the parser error produced by APK Editor Pro. The apk installed, however I am back to where I began. I enable admin, copy my license key over, click activate and I don't get beyond the screenshot in my original post. I'm not sure why.

I enabled admin first then copied and pasted the KPE development key. It does not activate regardless of whether I install Ahell from an APK or build it from source.
I downloaded the APK from the mediafire link, but couldn't get it to activate when following the instructions to edit the APK. So I just installed without editing, and it activated and is working fine.

Yeah i noticed that as well, as it would install fine if you didn’t edit the apk.. I’m not sure if mine was edited, i think i did edit the apk and saved it then used your way..
I’m not sure why they ask to edit the apk? i think as it says adblocker that’s against the T&C of Samsung Knox, well we will find out if Samsung check and disable our Samsung dev key only time will tell..

I remember reading somewhere that adblocking was a no-no in Samsung's eyes, so I uninstalled and followed Demati's instructions, as well as renamed the package, and it installed and activated with no issues.
I'm really feeling insane as I can't get it to activate and I'm following the same directions and guides as everyone else.
Where did you download the APK? I got it here: https://m.mediafire.com/folder/sb37c6gmhqgbn/AdHell_3. Then change min SDK version to 14, and rename the package (3.8.9 format). Also maybe try generating a new KNOX license key.
Even after changing the SDK min number, I still get the parser error...
All, I want to report that I have it working! I'm not quite sure what did it. I revoked my current KPE license and then issued a new one. At the same time I uninstalled Adhell and then reinstalled it from the APK that I downloaded from MediaFire (and fixed using APK Editor Pro). I rebooted my phone then I opened the app and to my shocking surprise it activated! I want to think that it had nothing to do with revoking and issuing a new KPE dev license but who knows? Maybe this was an issue on Knox license server.
Hi all,
My last working license expired yesterday and I have generated a new license key. I can activate AdHell 3 anymore. I had rebuilt package with custom name. I have created a new package with a new name and still I can't activate the license. Error 102.
I noticed that SEAP website changed. Am I missing something?

Thanks, however I'd really like to keep using AdHell, adblocker + package disabler is what I need.

First, I'm sorry if this is posted somewhere already. I spent numerous hours trying to block OTA updates following a post under Android Development... Link to post.
Having played with adb for hours and not being able to get sqlite working in cmd. I tried browsing to the file the script in the above post appeared to be editing with Root Explorer. To my surprise, when you click on the devicemanager.db file, Root Explorer gives you an option to buy SQLite Editor. Which I did.
Required Apps:
- Root Explorer (in market)
- SQLite Editor (in market)
Process:
1. Open Root Explorer
2. Open devicemanager.db from (/data/data/com.bn.devicemanager/databases/devicemanager.db)
3. Select "registry" - this should open up a spreadsheet looking file
4. Find row: com.bn.device.fota.mode
5. Drag over to the column labeled "value"
6. Press and hold "auto" until the "Actions" window pops up
7. Select "Edit Field"
8. Replace auto with manual
9. Select "Save"
Assuming this is what the scripts are doing, your nook color should now be blocking BN OTA updates. The best part is that you can do all of this from your nook color. Hope this helps!

Thats actually a good find because for a minute we were all sweating losing root over the 1.1.0 update.

Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm still a beginner. I thought I read threads where people were still getting the OTA update after editing/replacing the build.prop ... Plus, what happens when BN decides to release a new update? You would then have to change the build.prop again? Editing the registry value should prevent the device from ever checking for new updates. Seems like a cleaner fix to me.

Nobody I'm aware of, including my two NC's. Perhaps you're confusing updating the build.prop with renaming the otacerts file?

Thanks for posting this. I'm sure it will help someone out. It would have been me a week or two ago. I was trying to figure out how to change this value to avoid the OTA and really didnt understand ADB, SDK, Sqlite or any of that then. when i first opened Root explorer i remember it asking me if i would like to purchase it and i declined, now if i only would have known how easy it could have been.

I agree. Changing the setting in devicemanager.db is A LOT cleaner than the build.prop fix.
I just use a task killer and kill the B&N stuff... No updates here..

Considering this is how all Android OTAs are determined.... eh, whatever floats your boat
Slightly off-topic: I made this change (in devicemanager.db) to disable B&N updates. Whilst in the database, I noticed a table called Tasks that has 5 entries with types 100, 101, 102, 3, 2. The types 100 & 2 are tagged as enabled, the others are disabled. They have a date_next_run column. I imagine this is some kind of scheduling. I haven't worked out the date format. Does anyone know what these tasks will do - I would imagine one of them forces a B&N update?

Thank you for this- It's nice to find a nice, easy, self-contained way to ensure my NC will stay the way I have set it up 'til I decide otherwise.
One question though- to make it stick shouldn't there be one more step-
10. Reboot?
Block OTA updates
Xboxexpert has posted a bat file for download in a zip file Block updates.zip. Has anyone used this?
I need instructions regarding running the bat file.
Do I load the contents of the zip file on my SD card or do I open a command prompt box?
What do I do to run this bat file?
Thank you.
I can't get the "actions" window to pop up.
Wow this is an awesome find. Can anyone verify that this did indeed work for them? I have my rooted NC running 1.1 smoothly with all apps running perfectly. My final task is to stop OTA's from triggering. I don't feel confident doing this via ADB but using this method on the NC seems easy. Does this sound the same thing as the bat file does from the other thread? Thank you all for your amazing help!
Followed the process listed here... so far so good, no resets.
I have been through this 4 times so far and have been unable to get it to stick. I have backed up the rom after installing sqllite and root explorer, modded the registry, rebooted and still getting the damn OTA. Anyone else having this issue or has figured out if there is another entry that needs to be edited to defeat this?
Nm, I edited the url that the fota uses to check for updates so it is "dead"
backedup the rom again and have yet to see fota from BN. *fingers crossed as this is annoying*
****NM this didnt work either****

Thanks khaytsus! I do believe that has done the trick. I went ahead and edited the build.prop versus pushing it but we will see how it fairs now that i have hit wifi back on
Does this method still works to prevent 1.2 ota update? it surely looks the easiest method of all.
Yes or no?
Could someone to develop INTERNAL xap installer program [ homebrew] that
will be able to install xap inside phone ?
Thanks.
the os already has its own framework for that so no point, the installation of non signed apps is discussed loads on the forum. An app is avail called chevron to achieve it, unless you have updated your phone it should still work
I have investigated this. No luck so far. But I have a couple of leads that may let me make it. But it needs more research. I will have a look at it soon. But I can't give an ETA. So far I know there are no others that have succeeded so far.

No. Microsoft doesn't want you to sideload apps. They want you to use the Marketplace. If you would be able to use an internal xap installer, you would be using it for sideloading.
It is not possible to use the API's for installing XAP's because you need TCB access for that. Normal apps have only LPC access, so normally you can't create an app for that. Needs hacking.
Ciao,
Heathcliff74
Would this type of access be possible with the 'DLLImport Project'?
So today i installed a random app from marketplace to see what was going on i the process-list. Here i saw "PacmanInstaller.exe" (after "Downloading..." > "Installing..."); later i tried to remote execute that one without any important args, and it said "This application can not run in Win32 mode.", eh? Didn't that exe just ran in the process list. Seems weird not to be able to launch that one. (it did not say the exe did not exist).
Tested another thing to, what happens when i deploy an app from Visual Studio??
>PacmanInstaller.exe shows up there too.?!?!?
THEN WTF, WHERE IS THE DRM?
Found this in "PacmanInstaller.c":
if ( v19 != v2 )
*(_DWORD *)(v17 + 4 * v18 - 4) = L"ID_CAP_DEBUG";
XAP > Phone side:
- IO Explorer, all files have the exact same byte size, no magic changes added "ID_CAP_DEBUG""
- No "WMAppPRHeader.xml" added (generated/downloaded)
__
This means its just copying it to phone (XAP).
Runs pacman to register app > \Applications\Install\GUID\Install
"PacmanInstaller.exe GUID" ??
>Cant execute remote PacmanInstaller? From within?

Nope. DllImport project is about accessing native API's. Not really about elevating privileges (so far). The package manager API's are native API's, but they require elevated privileges too. For having higher privileges you need to hack the system...

That's why you can't run it! So, not the right account to launch. Not even when you use the Samsung exploit. Because that uses "Elevated". Not "TCB".
The proper way to call PacmanInstaller.exe is:
Code:
pacmaninstaller.exe <int> <guid>
I'm not really sure, but the <int> is the type of operation. Possible values are between 1 and 7 if I recall correctly. The guid is the applicationid. So far I know, the PacmanInstaller looks in \Application Data\Phone Tools\10.0\Install. That is where the xap's are initially uploaded to the phone and extracted by the packagemanger.
Ciao,
Heathcliff74
PS. New version of WP7 Root Tools coming up....
"Not even when you use the Samsung exploit. Because that uses "Elevated". Not "TCB"."
> What about "\Windows\Startup\"
That one launch what ever lnk (exe pointer) listed under startup directory. Would be an opportunity to restart after installed all "cydia" apps on the phone.
Another small but interesting find:
>Checking the mail launches another "servicesd.exe".
All those exe's of multiple sessions like "udevice.exe" and "servicesd.exe" go with an arg, right? then what is put in? Maybe an dll as arg?
>Then again, the custom dll (VS2008 made) will not run due it does not have "LV_ACCESS_EXECUTE", so that locks TCB out for dll arg inject.
udevice.exe (Driver host, runs under "SYSTEM" level)
servicesd.exe (Ordinary exe for dll host)
So making custom drivers wont work... (probably),
to be middle hand for executing under SYSTEM.

OK,I know that MS don't want to allow but I want to to know if is possible to hack it and do the internal XAP installer ? That's why I am asking.
I think that everybody who have unlocked phone will appreciate it !!
As everyone already said.. CANNOT be done. There's no, "I want to know if someone can hack this". The people working to bring full file/registry access and a better experience to all phones are too busy to worry about trying to make an internal xap installer. Just hook the damn thing up to a computer and use the applications to push a xap to your phone and be happy. I'm no admin or anything, but please don't pester over something like this.
Hi all,
I have read a lot about this, and I've tried to do it on my own but I've encountered some problems. I hope the experts here can help me out.
Here is what I've tried so far:
1) Rooted the device (success)
2) Installed ES File Explorer via SD card
3) I found there is no vending.apk in the system/apps folder on my tablet. So I copied (I tried several versions I have downloaded or stripped from ROMS) and tried to install there.
Problem: When I click to install the vending.apk, it simply tells me that it wasn't installed. Permissions are set to rw.
Next, I tried using ADB to install the vending.apk. When I use ADB, I get either INSTALL_FAILED_ALREADY_EXISTS or (after I delete the vending.apk from the tablet and try again) I get INSTALL_FAILED_OLDER_SDK
At this point I'm at a loss. Am I trying to use the wrong vending.apk version or something?

3. 下载谷歌服务包http://u.115.com/file/f5d6693df# system.rar

1. Get Root permission: Reference Links: http://bbs.gfan.com/android-586002-1-1.html, including the latest version of SuperOneClick program can be downloaded here: http://forum.xda-developers. com / showthread.php? t = 803682 which also includes Samsung drivers
2 Download File Manager RE: http://bbs.gfan.com/attachment.p ... BVis1N2k4N0VLTkE% 3D
3 Download the Google service pack http://u.115.com/file/f5d6693df #% 20system.rar
4 install the service pack, will be one of the ETC directory of the Host file to the P1010's System / etc directory
5 At this point you can see Google account already in the system account to add, I once found Rom server, the system was actually found time and time differences between the actual result
6. If it is found in the electronic market will automatically download error and exit, mostly because of access problems, please refer to Citie address: http://bbs.xda.cn/thread-5266029-1-1.html Please note that one file name and we installed the service pack file names are different, we will be one of the com.android.vending.apk into the actual service pack can be installed vending.apk.
Now finally a clean, you can freely download the electronic market things!

The link to dowload the "Google service pack" is expired. What is this file? How do I get it, and what do I do with it?
Finally got the Market and other Google apps installed. Just needed the right version I guess.
Market opens. I can see apps listed and I can search. As soon as I try to view an app or click on My Apps, it force closes every time.
What would cause this?
Hello, guys!
I created Magisk Module which allows you to install Httpcanary Root certificate into system CA list
Add as System trusted certificate
Support Android 10,11,12
( Magisk required ), you can install it easily. Everything works fine. After installing.
Tg --> @mr_spyboy
What are the benefits?

Edit: the app still shows certificate is not installed
TRY THIS ONE:

Anyone help, how to hack/Crack platforms (Online money making)
If nothing works, try this,
Download the attached file (based on @mepsnet's file)
Create a file (HttpCanary.jks) on HttpCanary data folder
/data/data/com.guoshi.httpcanary.premium/cache/HttpCanary.jks

If you couldn't find the path above, try this path instead,

[OFFICIAL] Xposed for Lollipop/Marshmallow/Nougat/Oreo [v90-beta3, 2018/01/29]
Note: This thread is here mostly for historical purposes. While Xposed is supported in various forms [EdXposed and LSPosed], developent on the Xposed primary app has completed. Xposed framework compatible modules are still in active development...
forum.xda-developers.com
I do confirm that the domain https://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/ is not working.
Even for already installed Xposed on android devices, when you open it, the application tries to download and fetch an XML file in dl-xda.xposed.info.
There is also another error due to the same source : Could not load available ZIP files. Pull down to try again
I've updated Magisk on my Nougat and now I'm facing the same issue.
Theres a "backup" here, but I don't know how to tell Xposed to used the URL:
Index of /framework/
...or where should I put the framework files.
Edit: the URL that I posted doesn't have the actual files, I've just realized.
Hey all! I had the same problem and I'm happy to report I've fixed it. Daniel_Laixer was on the right track. Take his link, Index of /framework/ and go to whatever sdk version you need (mine was 26). Keep going and pick the .zip when you get there, then pick 1 capture in the upper left area. Click on whatever date is highlighted, and this should give you the .zip file. (it took me a few refreshes before it would give it to me for some reason). Then drop into recovery mode on your phone and install the zip. Done!
