Back in oreo wifi speeds were fine but after the update i am getting low wifi range and the speed is very bad. I have other devices that have way better speed . Is anyone else having this problem? How to solve this?
Yes the same here..has the lowest signal from all my devices

Since I done an upgrade on my wizard I cannot get 100% signal on Wifi connection b or g. I have set the setting to best performance an still the highest I can get is 66% and it is beside the wifi router.
Anybody have this problem?
My WiFi signal has been absolutely terrible since the upgrade as well. I am on the latest i-mate ROM.

I upgraded to 2.17 weeks ago...and WiFi has been superb. No problems at all with it in and around my house (using Belkin Pre-N router/AP). No problems at all with public hotspots (Barnes & Noble, Panera, etc). I've actually been amazed at the number of unsecured WAN's I keep tripping over when I'm out and "war-driving" with my MDA.
Since the latest update for my phone the WiFi performance is just about useless. With a fresh factory reset and all. The problem is consistent over the many WiFi networks I have tried to use.anyone else run into this?
My Nokia 7 Plus connects to my Netgear D7000 router on both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz.
When the phone is near to the router it will max the connection speed out using speedtest at about 75mbps (max internet speed for me) however as the distance from the router increases the speeds drop off dramatically to either 1 or 2 mbps or they drop completely and it keeps trying to jump between networks presumably because the signal is low.
The drop in speeds seems to affect the download speed more than the upload speed.
I have an old Galaxy S5 and in the same positions it holds the connection easily and will still max the connection. I can go much, much further from the router before the connection drops.
If I use wifi analyser then I see that on the S5 the signal looks to be about 10db better, it simply looks like a case of the S5 having better reception.
How do others find the performance compared to other phones, is the wifi poor or do I have a duff one?
I'm currently using Oreo 8.1 with the July security update., has anyone noticed wifi being better using Android P?
Android p is far better

Thanks for the quick reply.
I'm just reading through the thread on Android P at the moment and will probably give it a try providing I can make sure I can roll back to Oreo easily so the device can be returned if it is actually faulty.
I only get 25 mbps on either 2.4 or 5 GHz. On my laptop or Galaxy S10 I get my full 150 mbps. I've done a hard rest ( always do after a major update) without improvement.
I've toggled WiFi scanning and automatic turn on..... still slow.
Might a downgrade to Oreo remedy this? Is that even possible.....or would the global firmware work better?
I'm not sure if there's only me facing the issue with 5GHz Wifi strength which is often get weak even very close to the router.
So do you find this happening with you?
I don't know if Android 10 causes the issue or just my router goes bad itself.
Please note that my A2 already runs on Android 10 with the latest patch (Jan 5) that released 2-3 days ago.
Thanks
Hello, i had the same problem and a factory reset resolved it.
