It is very good. Since you are habitual of same Android, you didn't like Sailfish OS but it is much better than Google Android.

I'm not sure what you'll name it if you do port it.
Oxygen + Oxygen.
The Initials will be OPO.
That's kind of cool and weird!
Can someone tell what is so special going to come in OxygenOS, that already started discussion for porting?

Have you ever known Samrtisan OS? I would like to know how to transplant this system

Smartisan OS is a deeply modified and improved OS based on Android™. Its beauty, ease of use, and intuitive design have overturned many people’s impressions of Android systems. With an exquisite interface, captivating animations, near perfect Chinese typography, and hundreds of thoughtfully detailed features, every moment with Smartisan OS is a joy.
Here is the official introduction of this system. 3w dot smartisan.com/en/m1/#/os
How to transplant this Android system? Smartisan M1/M1L, their CPU is Qualcomm Snapdragon 821, can be transplanted to Xiaomi Mi5?
I hope you can give me some advice. Thanks

[PORT PROJECT] Sailfish OS for Oneplus 3(t)

Hello,
It would appear that there is a great deal of interest in getting Sailfish OS to run on OnePlus Devices.
There is discussion of a project taking place over at Maemo but it was suggested that this be cross-posted to XDA for more exposure.
This OS has already been successfully ported to the OP1 and the OPX, there is also a port in progress for the OP2.
I know there are many talented devs here and we could really use some assistance as the project is moving pretty slow.
Github with current state of project: github(DOT)com/Oneplus3-Sailors
I will post more info/additional links when I reach my 10 post count.
I guess we still need to wait till the Xperia X's sailfish reached stable phase.
I do want to see sailfish os port at our device but the problem is the lacking of number of developers working on the port. I wish u luck there.
Best of luck, will definitely try if port is available for op3
I am really dumb, but why are you using Cyanogen Mod repos instead of Lineage ones? Those ones haven't been updated in months.
Definitely interested in this. Sailfish OS looks quite promising and I love the meego software on my N9.
Did I hear Sailfish? I'm in!
insha'Allah we could have a port of SailFish OS. I would be very happy too. Thanks for such good news

Sailfish OS for Mi A2

Could anyone port this OS for Xiaomi Mi A2 (or Mi 6X)?
That would be wonderful! Still miss my trusty Nokia N9 dualboot with MeeGo and SailfishOS
For the hardware section, good for it, but the software leaves much to be desired, you need more functions and better to take advantage of 100% the hd
It's not a revolution
One UI
Its better to work on One UI.

Bro its not possible on this phone as the kernel source has not been released by xiaomi yet.
Xiaomi uses GPL like it's toilet paper. Because of this, almost one year after the device's release we don't have source code available yet. Fortunately available custom Android-based ROMs work because the chipset is kinda popular, but there's no WIP for a Sailfish OS port.
