HI,
I'm only referring to the unlocked bootloader situation.
For Redmi 4X (santoni) we have recovery, firmware, kernel, rom, root (magisk), gapps files. I want clean install (no backup to restore). What is the correct installation order . At this point i have 8.1 oreo rom , orangefox (3.2.3 r8.3) twrp recovery and i want to try treble rom's. Is reversible (to go back from treble to clasic rom)?
I'm guessing:
1.recovery with treble support (orangefox3.2.3 r8.3)?
2.firmware
3.kernel
4.rom
5.gapps
6.root
7.other files
Thx.

I would install Global Dev ROM 7.2.16 miui_MI5Global_7.2.16_ab1851be8e_7.0.zip in TWRP (last version 3.0.2-3) but after installation, my phone not boot to system it stuck at mi.com screen.
If I flash other custom ROMs then everything is OK
Does this mean that I can't install official MIUI zip files in TWRP?

This has been discussed many times. Do not flash stock miui rom with TWRP. Use Miflash tool instead.
in the setting
choose the 'support official update'
@muchlas46
I can't use Miflash because if I will flash this file using Miflash then TWRP will be overwrite.
And If I would do that and then install again TWRP it will be asking me in first entry to decrypt data so I have to format freshly installed Global Dev ROM so I'm back in start point.
I would have TWRP, unlocked bootloader(have it) and GLOBAL dev, so to do that?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-5/development/tool-flashable-firmware-twrp-easy-t3474898
flash "Latest one -> Developer 7.2.9 Firmware:",then flash custom ROM(ex:Lineage OS)
I don't wan't custom ROM, I want to install official ROM from this e.g Global dev :
http://en.miui.com/download-299.html#443
anh have this official ROM with TWRP as recovery, is any hint to do this?
I want the EXACLY same thing LOL and i try everything but i cant have TWRP and Global dev, sorry i just wait with you for one solution.
I have idea how to do this but I'am afraid bricking my phone
Inside official fastboot file, after extracting is folder "images" inside is recovery.img file - this is stock recovery.
It could be maybe possible to replace this file to twrp file and leave it with the same name, then during Mi-flash will be TWRP installed instead stock recovery.
1. flash the firmware given above.
2.nougat miui often doesn't boot with only a clean twrp flash, that's why you have to flash the nougat firmware posted above.
else
1.flash 6.11 marshmallow global beta.
2.reboot
3.now flash nougat beta
[ HELP I have researched everywhere on the internet and I'm not sure what to do. I have a REDMI 4A wit AEX ROM OREO8.1 installed, TWRP 3.2.2.0 Official (for Redmi 4A on the twrp website) and tried to flash Magisk v.16. Error 1 mount vendor shows up in twrp. Many YouTubers says I should flash boot.img. I've already flashed the boot.img of the given AEX ROM OREO 8.1, but the same error occurs. I tried to search for answers, and what I found was that apprently aosp oreo ROMs usually are Treble ROMs. Downloaded Termux app and checked if ROM was treble = false = NOT Treble! Then others say I have to flash a modded vendor version of twrp. (Link: (add Https here)//androidfilehost.com/?fid=674106145207489212) Haven't tried it out just wanted to make sure if I should or not, bacuse the last time I tried to flash a different twrp, I had to flash the original one back using ADB...
Btw I had given up at some point and I flashed SuperSU successfully. Why Can I flash SuperSU but not Magisk?? I fully unrooted SuperSU and am ready to try flashing Magisk again. If anyone has any idea how to fix this, pleeeeeease tell me I need Snapchat to work while having root (yes I know I could've used Titanium Backup but that not the point rn)
Thanks in advance!!!
Austin:fingers-crossed:
Yup, you must use TWRP Vendor if you want to use magisk in AEX Oreo.
Han usb Deccan if DHC dry j
Wrong section.
Install TWRP Pitch Black, then install magisk for treble rom
That version may have bugs try the newer versions
Try with Pitch Black recovery or Orange Fox recovery
Same for me and than i using BATIK Recovery for fix it
Solved Magisk error!
I've tried so many Recoveries and after trying more than 5 recoveries and about 7 Different ROM I finally got the answer.
So basically now that Redmi 4A is treble based, hence it has now a new Partitioning vendor based. For that you'll need new Recovery that support vendor mounting. I've tried the other Recoveries mentioned above and all of them are buggy. Go for the official TWRP vendor based Recovery. I found it here :
https://freaksterism.blogspot.com/2018/10/solved-cannot-mount-vendor-magisk.html?m=1
The steps are explained purely for Redmi 4A.
Use pitchblack recovery and all the problems will fix or install supersu and install magisk apk, grant root and install directly and then you can uninstall supersu with unsu zip

How to Install
Flashing recovery
1. Flash Treble TWRP recovery given in downloads (important).
2. Reboot to recovery.
Re-partition & Treblize Device
Flash Treble Partitioner tool edited for Yureka Black in treble recovery. (Important Note: Only use the recovery given for download in next post (Twrp that has orange accents and splash) and the tool works properly only in it. Use this recovery whenever you use this tool. You can change recoveries later. Use of other recoveries to flash partition tool can put phone in a no-OS state).
Follow the on screen instructions while using tool.
Reboot to recovery.
Wipe System and Vendor.
If system or vendor aren't mounting change their filesystem to ext4.
Reboot to recovery.
From now you can flash Roms with Twrp or Any other recently built recovery ( Any treble twrp, Official twrp in twrp.me/ Pitch black recovery or (Twrp that has orange accents given after this post)).
GAPPS and MODS work properly only when flashed with latest recoveries and I don't maintain them.
All actions performed here are reversible.
As far as i know, everything here has been used > 100 times for several years and works.
If you want to flash GSI
Flash the Rom zip
Wipe system, Flash the GSI image to system & wipe data.
GSIs don't boot on android 11 right now. Please contact your Rom/Os maintainer for device and ask them to fix it.

IMPORTANT:
For ERROR: 7 & in TWRP on flashing non treble roms.
Garlic was not released with treble ! Non treble Roms which are based on android 10 and prior for garlic CANNOT be flash after partitioning,
You need to remove vendor using partitioning tool again on partition tool required recovery. You can then flash non treble Roms like before or change recoveries.

MORE HELP
Does it require Data Format?
No
What GSI can boot?
All GSI depending on Oreo or Pie depending on respective vendors along with Sgsi like MIUI,Zui, OOS and other Sgsi ports. No GSI will boot on Android 11 (Ask device maintainers).
Why are non treble custom roms no longer flashing?
Because custom roms are made for 4.7gb system , unless the dev mentions 3.7gb system , they cannot be flashed along with treble.
If you want to revert to non-treble custom roms..
Reflash the Party tool and choose option to remove vendor partition.
I'm on Android Nougat (7.1.1) and have a Wiko U Feel Prime.
Am I able to flash this treble or do I need a 8.0 custom ROM to enable treble.
Also can I flash any gsi I found out there or do I need a specific gsi for this since it isn't an originally supported treble device

Hello , there are standalone vendor zips in the post .First you need to repartition , after doing it you dont need a custom treble rom, flash my treble twrp, then just flash the vendor zip + bootimage and any GSI (pie GSI for pie vendor and Oreo GSI for oreo vendor) after wiping data.GSIs are not bug free. If you have any doubts/want to know the latest development going on the device, I strongly suggest you to join the telegram group, there are few wiko u feel prime users in our group.
Please help me. I can't seem to understand what exactly I need to do in order to install a custom ROM on my K20 Pro (Global 10.3.5.0.) I have tried following this (https://forum.xda-developers.com/k20...0-pro-t3953844) post thoroughly and others as well, but can't seem to exactly understand what I am required to do. Most custom ROM's state [Raphael], but as I purchased this device in India, it would most probably be [Raphaelin], after unlocking the Bootloader and installing TWRP, am I supposed to flash a Custom ROM (for ex. Lineage OS) directly or would I have to install a ROM which would make my device [Raphael]? Vendor and Firmware have gone over my head, I do not understand what I need to di. If someone could help me out, It would be mean a lot. Thank you.

If you're running stock MIUI and haven't moved to any custom MIUI's till date then you can straight away flash LOS. Moreover, most of the custom roms work on multiple vendors irrespective of whether it is a China Vendor or India or Global. It doesn't matter till the time the developer specifically asks you to be on a particular vendor.
Vendor isn't a dreaded thing. It's just the drivers needed to run the various components in the device (BT, WiFi etc). Till the time you don't wipe the vendor partion in twrp, you would always be good to go. You could carry on flashing custom roms w/o careing about the vendor.

Thank you very much for your reply. So, just to check if I have understood correctly. I can just install TWRP and then flash Lineage OS straight away, right? I checked (https://forum.xda-developers.com/k20-pro/development/rom-lineageos-16-0-t3965311), and it mentioned:
Instructions :
Download the latest build and GApps
Reboot to recovery
Flash proper vendor and firmware
Flash the latest build and GApps
Reboot
What is "proper vendor and firmware"? And would I also be required to flash this?
Thank you.

Go back to the Lineage instructions and read immediately below that. It starts P.S.
It explains exactly proper vendor and firmware means.
No you won't need to install anything for this step

Nope ! You don't need to flash vendor + firmware as you already running an untouched stock MIUI build. That is for people who are coming from either modified MIUI builds (EU, Miroom etc) or custom roms with a different vendor (India device running on China Vendor)
Custom roms don't carry the Vendor Firmware files and you can only modify the existing Vendor when you move to other region stock or custom MIUI roms.
Back up your data on Internal storage to a safe place either on a PC or OTG. Skip this step if you have nothing important.
Boot In TWRP
Wipe System, Data , Cache , Dalvik
(Don't reboot at this point, Not Even a Recovery reboot)
Flash LOS
Flash GApps
Go to Advanced Wipe and Format Data by typing Yes
Reboot

Did you do FORMAT Data (not just Wipe) when you installed your custom ROM, and before rebooting?
I want to have stock rom with TWRP and Magisk, but I have fallen so far
My X2 Pro EU Is unlocked, with TWRP (same situation official and TWRP 3.3.1-11) ... and bootloop instead of rom
Stock OZIP does not install correctly. What should I do? Search for stock recovery, install stock rom and try TWRP again?
