How can i change the phone back to its original firmware so i can update it with kies. I flashed it with jp2 and when i try to update via kies it wont let me update it. I only rely need the files i already know how to flash with odin.
My phone unbranded and unlocked if it matter.

Look on the forum for JM1 (which is an official firmware, or ones corresponding to your region e.g., JG4 for Asia Pacific) and flash with Odin, the use Kies to update to the latest in your region.
I currently have marshmallow installed on my note 5 and I've been searching for lollipop 5.1.1 firmware and found one here

Are the files here legitimate? I have it downloaded and about to install it using odin but I don't want to brick my phone during the process..

Downloaded the most recent three firmware from sammobile (currently on most recent BTU). When I flash on odin I get the annoying BINARY 2 FIRMWARE 1 error.
Do y'all reckon it's because my BTU firmware and bootloader is more recent than the three firmware? And it won't let me roll back??!!

if you're on the latest update with the January security patch it won't allow you to install previous versions, it said in the update message
I will be keeping a eye out for the latest three firmware for the same reason

My binary version of phone is 3.i am going to flash a different csc firmware but i am confused which version of firmware should i download from samfw. version G780GXXS3CVC4 or version G780GXXU3CVC2?
My AP version is : G780GXXS3CVC4
My CP version is : G780GXXU3CVC2
which should i follow before downloading the firmware from samfw? ap or cp?
they will both work. CVC4 will be the newer one.
