Hi
I most recently purchased a Xiaomi Mi 8 a couple of weeks back and today was the day I tested out the rear camera flash at Night.
The colors seem to be too washed out when using flash outside in the dark and it surely cannot be this bad.
I have tried to reset camera settings in the native camera application and tested open camera out with the same result
Camera without Flash
My pictures with flash are the same. Any ideas what is the problem?
I found where was the problem. I remove camera lens glass protector and everything is ok now
Had the same problem but after an update it got better but still got a light tint. Camera lens protector does not cover the flash.
Had the exact same problem after installing what the seller called "tempered glass camera lens protector".
I've wasted about $2 + $1 for shipping for buying this useless item. Just don't install any protector for your camera lens, it will messed up the flash light.

Yesterday, I found a tiny crack on my back camera lens, no idea when and how the crack occured. Any ideas to deal with the cracked camera lens without replacing a new one?
I recently bought a Nexus 6 on Swappa, and for the first couple of days didn't notice anything at all wrong. Now today I went to take a picture and there was a very out of focus black smudge on my pictures. Ok, no big deal. Wipe off the rear lens, still there. Uh oh. It wasn't there at first, or at least I didn't notice it. I figured I bought it second-hand so the Moto warranty is null and void anyways. So I peeled my back cover up and lifted the lens off the camera sensor. Then I gently cleaned the lens on the sensor. Powered the phone back on, the spot is still there.
So evidently some little speck of crap has managed to make its way inside of the camera sensor, or a pixel on the sensor died. Not sure what it would look like. This just looks like an out of focus black speck. So I guess I'm going to be replacing it myself. Anyone know of any parts sources other than eTradeSupply? They're currently out of stock of the rear camera sensor. I can live with $25. There is another site that wants $90, but that seems a little steep.
Hello everyone.
I have a problem with the rear camera. Dust or something like that has stuck into it, so on my pictures appear big black dots. I tried to take of the back glass, but nothing changed. Dirt is inside the small camera module, not on the glass. So i want to buy a new camera module. I found many of them on alliexpress, starting from 3 to 30 dollars. Has anybody had experience with this? Are cheaper camera modules good like the original one in terms of picture quality? Or should I buy expensive original only?
Thanks.
Hi, I just updated my note 9 to android 9 and my camera is not too good. Lights are very blurry. Does anyone else had the some problem? Have a look on annex, I attached some pictures
Have you tried cleaning the camera lens?
Yes, I have. I got that issue long time ago when I was on sunny holidays and tel was very hot. Next day all was good. Now phone is normal temp and this show up after update to android 9
You know, that really looks like a dirty/greasy or scratched-up lens to me. It's either that, or it could be moisture under the glass. Double-check with a magnifying glass if you need to.
Do also contact Samsung support about this. I'm sure they have some thoughts.

Definitely not normal. I agree it looks like a dirty or scratched up camera lens. Do you happen to have one of those tempered glass protectors on the lens?
You can always test it by downloading a third party camera app like GCam or Open Camera. If they produce blurry pics, then you have some sort of hardware issue.
Hi,
It seems I have a very peculiar problem at hand as there is absolutely no info about it anywhere. I happened to drop my Mi 11 Ultra from about 6 feet height and it landed with a thud with the display facing down. Luckily the display survived. No crack, no damage nothing but then came the shocker. Somehow the rear display has cracked. The glass protecting the camera lenses and the rear display itself is fine but the rear display has a few cracks and it has become dead.
I quickly checked the rest of the phone, everything's just fine. Now I did not think that replacing the rear view display would be such a big problem but when I contacted Mi Customer care via Online chat, they said that the rear display can't be replaced in India!
I saw a couple of teardown videos of the Mi 11 Ultra and it seems that the display is molded/sealed or embedded into the ceramic back. So technically it seems to look like as if replacing the ceramic back means the rear display will by default come with it.
Can anyone please confirm this? Mi Customer Care seems to be useless. Need your input guys. I will be really grateful. Thanks!
