What do you mean by latest update are you referring to emui update or hisuite update.
Screenshot would help.
Format your phone and try again. Btw are you on full stock ?

I am talking about hisuite app. They have removed that option . Now you will find only update to future released version and cannot rollback to older versions.

Roll back is there as long as you're not on the Beta version of Android Pie.
Rolled back from PIE 8.0 just seems a little better, until they sort the bugs out in PIE.

Android P 9.0 beta already rolled out in China, of course only people from China can become a beta tester, but I already tried it for 2 days, and all is working including the Google pay. If someone interested you can download and try it via firmware finder for Huawei (you can download it from play store).
For update to android P, you have to update to the lastest version of 8.2.0.165 from firmware finder, after update completed, updated again via FF to Android P 9.0.0.167.
Hope everyone enjoy.

Yes it says not approved, but still can install, I installed it via FF , get an update through DNS, after DNS configured and press check update under system ,8.2.0.165 will appear, and after first update reboot and installed, the 9.0.0.167 will appear for install as well.

I didn't try using computer to update, just updated it from my phone, and press get an update via DNS, and go to system update and press system update, but when I press update it show no update but after few minutes when I press again, the update show up and allow to download and install, I am not living in China and I can't applied for the beta tester, I just simply try it via firmware finder on android but success.

Proxy or DNS method does not work with Emui 8.2 with Huawei Firmware Finder that's why it does not work and can not work.
If you read that through in Playstore you know that.

From what I understood, there isn't prepatched boot image for security patches above November, so I can't flash other firmwares...
Is there a way that I can rollback to NOUGAT by updating first to Pie ? And with april patch ?
I'm wondering if I could have Nougat one day
Thank you
I'll answer my own post since I managed to do it :
So I used NOST to flash NB1-303A-0-00WW-B01.nb0 (the first Nougat firmware for TA-1012) and it worked like a charm.
Sorry for the useless topic.

Yeah but I juste realized what was the issue.
The past months, I've been using NOST 0.5, and it didn't worked at all (many errors...). But I just saw that the developer updated to NOST 0.6, hence why it's working

Battery, RAM and CPU consumption.
On ALL of my devices, I compared the oldest ROM with the next one and I always get better results on an old ROM. I mean, new firmwares are for new phones and can't be adapted perfectly to old devices in order to keep the same consumption.
It's like updating apps, in most of the case, your phone will lag more and more when you update your apps.

Down the ROM, then go to Settings > About > System Update. The in the three dot menu, select 'Choose update package' to tap the downloaded zip of the ROM. Then update will proceed.
I had to update manually after System Update kept restarting the download and wasted several GBs in partial downloads.
